The Psycat is a very motherly pokegirl and is often compared to Mousewife, Denmother and MILF pokegirls. The breed itself was not recorded until after the Revenge War but speculation is that they did exist during the War but were simply misidentified as Catgirls by those who saw them. In modern times, this breed is primarily used in child care or pediatric nursing, due to their innate knack for watching over human children and pokekits.

Though the changes in the breed are minor from Catgirl to Psycat, fur color typically lightens drastically, with bare majority of the breed being white furred or having color-points (darker fur on the ears, feet, and tail). Animorphic members of the breed are typically fully furred with muzzles, feline ears, and may be digigrade or plantigrade. The closest to human appearing members have feline ears and eyes, with tails usually being present (unless the breed is a tailless variant) and about as long as the pokegirl is tall.

Consummate caregivers to children, this motherly feline breed has an innate knack for childcare. Most members of the breed tend to be supportive, self-sacrificing, and gentle in their attitudes towards any pre-pubescent child or pokekit, though these traits often extend into their dealings with others as well. Within a harem setting, most are regulated into a non-combat position, often offering a listening ear or shoulder to their harem sisters. If not tasked with training, the breed make for decent Betas, though most would prefer to be in a motherly role one way or another. The Psycat also tends to pick up domestic skills fairly quickly, though this tends to vary by individual.

Psycats are definitely not a combat oriented breed, though if pressed can put up a decent fight. Most members of the breed utilize their ability to create psychic illusions in conjunction with their aura of doom to frighten off potential threats, and rely on the help of Foresight to aid in dodging and avoiding hits. Most of the breed's abilities are also utilized in watching their charges, using Foresight to assist in avoiding accidents, or Hang Time catching a falling kit or child. Most research has shown that Psycats tend to dislike fighting in general, and only focus fully on battles that revolve around defending their children. Several witnessed accounts show that these 'mama cats' will give their lives in defense of the young they watch over. Should they fail, and lose a child, the breed's psyche manifests a small white kitten (pre-sukebe, not pokegirl) that typically can be seen perching on the head or shoulders, or hovering about the pokegirl's head. In cases where more than one child is lost, multiple illusions are created, often bearing some superficial resemblance to the lost child (common facial expressions, accessories like hats or bows, or gestures). These illusions usually remain permanently, though can be removed by having the pokegirl work through her issues. Level Fiving a Psycat seems to 'lock' the phantom feline(s) to the individual pokegirl, and occasionally a full grown 'mother' cat appears as well.

Even when watching a large group of children, the Psycat is able to work out time to be with their tamer. The breed tend to have a variety of preferences, and like many pokegirl breeds mold their preferences to that of their tamer. Usually, sensitive areas are at the base of the tail or the ears, though this is not universal. Oddly, for those individuals who have the feline illusions, the phantom(s) tend to 'hide' during taming.

Ferals of the breed are known to 'adopt' pokekits of any breed, occasionally, they'll also do the same for human children, protecting the child as their own, which usually leads to their capture by the child's rightful parents or older siblings. Because the breed is capable of reading intent in most humans and pokegirls due to their inherent telepathy, Psycats pose little threat to those not intending them or their charges harm. The breed is naturally wary around dark types, with some ferals going as far as to flee outright with their charges in tow.

Threshold directly into a Psycat tends to happen in strong family lineages of both feline and psychic pokegirls, though typically happens much less often than direct thresholds into Catgirls. Picking up stray thoughts telepathically and a strong affinity for children are the first indicators, followed by physical changes that last between three days and two weeks. The amount of anthromorphism is directly proportional to the time of threshold. Physical changes are usually accompained by light fever and mild to moderate aches and pains, depending on the level of body modification happening. Threshold is considered complete when the new pokegirl is capable of preforming three techniques or when a pokeball is capable of capturing them. Thresholders are typically placed into the ranch system or sold/traded to childcare tradesmen.
