The chichi line is known for it's unique oddity in becoming different species of rodents upon evolution with a stone. However, the line is also a bit odd in that the normal evolution for the breed is the ice type Pokégirl, the Margarita. Used mainly in colder climates against humanity during the War of Revenge, these snowy colored chinchilla Pokégirls were low powered battlers stationed alongside more powerful Pokégirls such as Ice Maidens. In modern times, the breed is most seen in the industrial sector along with Sidekicks and other domestic Pokégirls, usually used as a living air conditioning unit, or for food processing.
Gaining only a little height upon evolution, these ice type Pokégirls remain rather short, since it's rare for the breed to grow over five and a half feet. Their bust jumps up a bit, though a lush B is standard, C cups are almost unheard of without the use of permanent bloom powder. Furred members of the breed may or may not have slight muzzles, though their fur changes to whites and shades of ice blue, rarely having a 'party' coloration of white and blue splotches. The fur is still luxuriously soft, and in a few of the more conservative leagues, feral Margaritas are hunted alongside their unevolved sisters for pelts, which fetch a high price in the fashion market. For less animorphic members of the breed, their hair takes on the same shades, as does the fur covering their ears and tail. The teeth of the breed are sometimes slightly bucked or the jaw has a slight overbite, though this is not serious and doesn't affect the Pokégirls looks or eating habits.
Despite their Ice type nature, Margaritas are very friendly and affectionate Pokégirls. Their core temperature is rather warm, despite the breed's ice element, and many tamers enjoy being able to have a tamable ice type in their harem. Particularly, the breed seems to enjoy snuggling either before or after taming, and due to their warm temperature, this is welcomed in colder climates. In addition to their friendly nature, the breed can best be described as hyperactive, in that they are always doing something, be it talking, walking around or sating their curiosity by getting into things. Tamers are advised to give their Margaritas something to occupy their need for movement, usually some form of craft with their hands, such as ice sculpting, which the breed takes to well. Due to this need to be constantly doing something, the breed makes a poor choice for the Alpha or Beta position since they tend towards micromanaging.
Though used heavily in the industry sector, many Tamers are known to choose this chinchilla breed as an easy to find Ice type, since their ability to combat is fairly well rounded and they have a capacity to learn how to battle well. Without outside moves such as T2s however, the breed tends to rely on their ice attacks, occasionally falling back to moves they knew as a Chichi. Unless they're well trained however, they tend to frighten easily, predatory Pokégirls having the easiest time pulling this off. Ironically, this includes dragon types, which makes an untrained Margarita a poor choice for combating any of the dragons.
As stated before, Margarita are very cuddle-some Pokégirls, enjoying hugs, caresses, and other soft forms of affection before taming. Due to their relatively high libido (for an ice type) they enjoy the act as often as they can. While the breed can tolerate and flourish under lack of affection, as a whole Margaritas react poorly to rough sexual treatment, such as from breeds or Tamers into domination, and the Pokégirl tends to retreat into herself, and become skittish and almost useless both in and out of battle. Fire types are not recommended for the taming the breed as well, since like the Chichi, these icy Pokégirls are prone to heat exhaustion and heat stroke at temperatures above 85 degrees. In warmer climates, Heat Drain is used to counter the temperatures that the chinchilla Pokégirls encounter, though this tires the Pokégirl out eventually.
The Margaritas usefulness in food preservation and cute-and-cuddly demeanor has led to them often being used as mascots for anything cold, from frozen food to food freezers, air conditioners to breath mints. Of particular fame is a Margarita named Eleanor, who appears in every refrigerator ad run by the Jahana Corporation. Originally kept as a pet by a Junior Executive of Marketing, her above-average appearance and distinct delivery won her a surprising following. She is noticeably more popular than most of the products she shills, with several fan groups devoted to her.
Ferals tend to live in cooler places, generally around snowfall areas of mountains as well as in dryer areas, since furred members of the breed still have problems with fur falling out when getting wet. The old Steppe area of the Ruby and Opal league are prime areas for feral Margarita, as well as other dry cold areas of the world. Diurnal by nature, the breed forages in the cooler portions of the day on grasses and grains before retreating to cool shade for the hotter portions of the day. Capturing a feral is somewhat difficult given that tamers must locate one first, but once her den is found, the feral can easily be routed by a fire type.
Thresholding into a Margarita is rare, but more common than other forms of the Chichi line. As with a threshold into a Chichi, thresholders usually get to keep their human appearance, though the first signs of threshold are sharp ear aches and their hair slowly changing color into whites or blues. Once the ears migrate, pain begins at the base of the tail bone, where the thresholders new tail is growing in.
