When this interesting breed was first discovered, it explained some strange events Tamers have come across in the past. Waking up to find an empty pokeball, backpack, or other container kissing or talking to them; discovering odd 'talking' urns, cages, boxes, or other objects. While most of these experiences were chalked up to be hallucinations, the Mimica breed was discovered early in the 100's after specimens were brought in to researchers. Now known in modern times for their storage capacity, the breed is utilized by researchers, pet owners, tradesman, and tamers alike.

Though the breed technically has three distinct 'forms', Mimica are only truly able to change the shape of objects they possess. This usually amounts to a single eye or a pair of eyes, a large fanged maw with long tongue, and two arms, often black and skeletal, coming from the object that the breed is possessing. These storage pokegirls prefer containers over other mundane objects, and use the openings as the 'mouths' of their possession form. The breed cannot speak in this form, but through clever use of their Telepathy and moving the mouth of the object, they can appear to be speaking normally. So long as the object being possessed weighs a quarter of the pokegirl's lifting ability or less, the breed is able to lift the containers off the ground and levitate them at a low height, usually no higher than the pokegirl is tall. With practice and experience, individuals are able to increase this lifting ability to one half of their physical lifting ability, and up to twice as they are tall.

The second form of the breed is their taming form. Mimica as a breed show only a few differences from normal human women, this is usually in hair and skin color. Skin tones are usually dark, ranging from human 'dark' skin to more gray in pigment, from off white to true black. Eye colors are usually within the normal human range, though occasionally colors are inverted or iris colors stray out of the human range. Hair color is typically dark as well, and occasionally has hues that are outside the human norm. Height of the breed is typically from 4 to 5.5 feet (1.22 - 1.68 meters) in height. Closely related to their secondary form is their armored form. Mimica possessing an object have the ability to summon armor related to that object and slightly alter their appearance by changing skin tones and hair colors to match or complement their armor. This armored or 'locked' form is typically a stylized form of whatever object they happen to be possessing, from poorly constructed cardboard padding to the typical leather or nylon material backpacks are created from, to strong metals or stone from vaults or urns. For objects that have been enchanted or treated to be stronger or more resistant to damage, this carries over to the armor as well.

With the breed's enhanced memory, Mimicas are able to memorize and keep track of anything they're holding, as well as items they're placed in charge of. Often seen in supply management outside of tamer's harems, this breed is well known at banks, libraries, and other areas where their ability to keep track of items is put to use. Often attributed to being pranksters as well, this varies by individual and is often seen as a trait of younger members of the breed. Some older members don't mind using pranks to delay, confuse, or drive off would-be robbers though. A tendency for kleptomania has also been noted, though this is often more noticeable of feralborne members than domesticates. As the breed is often in their possession form, they tend to make decent betas, but the alpha position is dependent on the individual. Many tamers instead use them as an early warning system, having them possess their backpacks or an empty pokeball worn on their belt and allow the breed to utilize their enhanced senses to forewarn them of danger.

While many pokegirl breeds are capable of accessing a pocket dimension, no other breed has the space or capability of holding a variety of items like the Mimica breed. This variation of the subspace pocket is often referred to as the Expanded Storage Space, or ESS. This space is initially small, usually about 10 feet tall and 20 x 20 feet wide, and can hold about 25 separate items or about 200 pounds worth of material. As the individual pokegirl gains experience in keeping items in this subspace pocket, they can also learn how to expand it's carrying capacity. Experienced Mimicas have been noted to be able to have a space of about 15 feet tall and 40 x 40 feet wide and almost the same carrying capabilities as a pokepack (Maximum holding capacity recorded so far has been 75 separate items and 400 lbs). The size of the possessed object doesn't seem to correlate with the size of the ESS, though more experienced Mimicas are able to open up a gate into their ESS without the need of going through the opening of the possessed item. An item's insides turn pitch black when under this breed's possession, and opens into the pocket created by the pokegirl. Even inexperienced members of the breed are able to allow outsiders into their subspace pocket if the possessed item is large enough, usually through the means of a ladder, stairs, or doorway leading into and out of the ESS.

The inside of this area often appears as a basement created out of materials that make up the item, shelving, tables, or boxes of the same materials are also present, as a stone or brick basement with wooden shelves, or as a cave or other natural 'pocket'. It is speculated that this variation depends on the individual pokegirl's experience and disposition. Many members of the breed only allow those they trust into their ESS, due to the pokegirl feeling anything done to the insides of the dimensional pocket. Research has gone into seeing if Mimica are able to increase either their own ESS or the storage space of items such as pokepacks or enchanted backpacks, and even the most experienced Mimicas utilized in the study were only able to open up their normal separate subspace pocket outside of the usage of the other storage capabilities of the object. It is theorized that the method that this breed uses to open their ESS is actually centered on the pokegirl, with the item possessed used as a focus or 'switch' that enables the breed to open up their subspace pocket. This theory has been given more credit due to more experienced members of the breed being able to create their own item to possess.

Mimica do not battle directly very often, preferring to use subterfuge and various items to battle from afar. Some have been known for keeping heavy or sharp objects to spit at enemies, along with their other attacks. Assisting their harem sisters in battle is where the breed really shines, able to pull out needed items like weapons or healing salves to aid their fighting harem-mates. When in trouble themselves, the breed can also fall back on drinking blood in order to speed their own healing abilities. More experienced members of the breed can also use their gates to their ESS to teleport others by opening the gate in one area, closing it, and then re-opening it elsewhere. Sadly, this tactic, along with being a container for a robber and their pokegirls, that have been used to commit robberies with the Mimica as well. Some stores and sensitive areas have banned the breed unless stringently vetted to not be a security risk.

This unique ghost breed seems to have no preferences, other than being tamed while within her own ESS, and often enjoy the items being used upon them as taming aids. Some enterprising tamers have had used their Mimica's ESS as a safe place to sleep while out in the wilderness, often moving camping gear into the breed's pocket dimension. Luckily, the air in the dimension is recycled through what is likely a process of the subspace pocket itself. Most members of the breed have no way of creating running water or other facilities, though some tamers have gotten creative and often use their pokegirl's ESS as a mobile home.

Related to the breed's object possession ability, Mimicas sometimes become attached to their items as closely as a Slicer is to their weapon. If the object is about to be destroyed, the breed sometimes chooses to stay in their beloved item and perish, though many individual's survival instincts kick in and cause them to abandon the item and mourn it afterward. Other members of the breed have no compunctions about jumping from item to item. The breed also has the ability to designate an object to open up to their ESS for their tamer or harem sisters to use. When this is done various symbols appear around the opening of the object, though they can remove the objects connection to their when ever they want.

Ferals of the breed tend to be aggressive unless possessing an object. Once possessing an object, the breed tends to have extreme kleptomaniac tendencies, looking for items to place in their ESS. They also become much less confrontational, preferring to flee instead of fighting. If they do fight, it's often with launched objects, either through their container openings/mouths or through gates, depending on how experienced the individual pokegirl is. This ghost breed is known to be difficult to capture when feral, though many tamers have claimed success with various methods, usually baiting the pokegirl out into the open with various items.

Threshold directly into a Mimica is extremely rare, as most families don't have enough of the breed in their ancestry to affect a thresholder's chance. Threshold is usually a fast affair, with the skin changing color and the thresholder finding an extreme attraction for hording objects near or in containers. Threshold usually completes when the new pokegirl possesses one of the containers or other objects in her horde. This is also why hording as a mental disorder is often referred to as 'Mimica Touched'.
