Chapter 3

 “Master what will we be doing today?” Lilith’s question broke Jack’s silent reverie. Outside the Viridick pokecenter rain was falling in sheets and he had always been more contemplative when he watched the rainfall.

“I’m scheduled to meet the SEELE representative pretty soon and the Shadow League an hour after that. Unfortunately that doesn’t give us enough time to really doing anything prior. After that though I’m unsure what we’ll do. If the rain lets up we’ll probably head into Viridick Forest and see about catching a few ferals.” Jack said watching as a Squirtitty ran dancing through the rain, her tamer only a few seconds behind. “We need to expand the harem but unfortunately anything we can catch around here will be nearly useless in battle. As I see it our only options are to either hope we get lucky and run into a rare girl.” He grimaced at the thought of depending on luck. “Or we can capture a number of ferals and trade them in for a more powerful girl that would suit our needs.”

“Is there any girl in particular you are looking for Master?” Lilith asked trying but unable to hide her jealousy.

Turning away from the window for the first time he looked at her. “Come here and sit with me.” Already nearby she quickly deposited herself into his lap and he wrapped his arms around her. “Now there is no need to be jealous after all you’ll get to play with those that join the harem as well.” He chuckled as a look of hunger came over her face.

“I’m glad to see you’re here already Mr. Rivers.” Rick Sanchez had walked up to Jack while he was talking to Lilith.

“If you’re not early, you’re late as the matron used to say.” He rose to shake hands with Sanchez.

“I’ll tell you our offer over lunch, there is an excellent place up the street that serves the best KATTLE in the league.”

Much to his irritation Sanchez put a hand on his shoulder and began to guide him out the door. Gritting his teeth and straining not to do something that would end with him arrested he jerked away from Sanchez and followed him out the door.

                Sanchez must really be trying to impress me Jack thought as they walked through the door of Iliad. Named for a piece of pre-Sukebe literature, the Iliad was the place to be seen for upper class Viridick citizens and was priced as such.

                “Why don’t I tell you a bit about SEELE first and then I can tell you our offer and let you decide.” Sanchez said as they took a seat in the corner at a table made of a dark cherry wood. “Pokegirls are not human, no matter what some people might think they are not and wanting them to be won’t change that fact. Pokegirls are physically dependent on a human in order to maintain a stable mental state and they are tied to that person from then on. Their mental state changes to reflect their tamer and their choices and decisions reflect that. Now all of this doesn’t mean you can’t treat them well, after all you don’t break a shovel when you are unable to dig something do you. No, here at SEELE we are dedicated towards helping not just humans but pokegirls as well."

“You organization certainly sounds interesting Mr. Sanchez but I’m not sure what you want with me. I have the Rebel blood curse and joining SEELE isn’t really a possibility.” I’m glad there is so much misinformation about Rebel out there, as long as I wanted to join I could but it’s a great way to decline in a way that won’t make enemies.

“Ah yes we are aware of your condition, lamentable as it is. However we don’t require everyone to join the organization, some work for us as independent contractors. That is for sometime in the future however, right now you are still to fresh as a tamer to really help us. We believe that you will become a fine tamer in time however and would like you to remember us fondly when that time comes.”

“So you pretty much just wanted to tell me you exist and that if I agree in the future you’ll send me a job offer?”

“Correct, we may contact you every once in awhile with a job offer that you can accept or deny at your discretion. Most of the jobs are just information gathering, walk around the city and learn the general attitude towards SEELE that sort of thing.”

 The meal arrived and conversation stopped as the two began to eat.

“I have to ask why are you so interested in me. I was number 4 at Ridgeville but that ‘s hardly enough to make it worth your while to personally see me and give me so much lee way in joining.” Jack finally asked the question that had been nagging him since he saw Sanchez show up in person to meet him.

                “You’re right normally one of our recruiters would have met with you and most of the others from your class will meet with them. Most of the jobs offered to you will be out of the league and a number of them will be in more remote areas where the strength of a Tamer’s harem matters a lot. With your affinity for some of the more powerful pokegirls you are a perfect candidate for those jobs. With your Rebel curse there was almost no chance of you agreeing to join, however I can be quite persuasive when I want to be so I came instead.”

                “If all it means is I get job offers in the future then I agree to your offer Mr. Sanchez.” Jack said seeing no downside in the deal.

                “Excellent Mr. Rivers now I believe I said that you would receive a gift just for showing up and a better one if you agreed to my offer. I’ll have an account made in your name at the Bittatits ranch here in Viridick. Since you agreed to my offer you’ll be set up with a credit for one of the uncommon pokegirls, rather than the common one you would have received had you refused our offer.” Smiling brightly Sanchez left a credit chip to cover the meal on the table and walked out of the restaurant.

Established in 290 AS the Bittatits Trade Center in Viridick city was one of the most popular destinations for visiting tamers. Three floors dedicated to facilitating the exchange of pokegirls. The ground floor was made with direct trade between tamers in mind. A tamer could post what pokegirls he was looking for and what he wanted to trade. A computer worked to match potential traders and bring them together face to face so they could see exactly what they were trading . The second floor offered a selection of item to help a Tamer with a new pokegirl. From TM’s to restraints to evolution stones the widest selection available in western Indigo was there.

                The third and final floor though was where the Bittatits Ranch office was located. Based out of a single location near Celaboner city the ranch had several offices open throughout Indigo from which they sell pokegirls. Information on exactly what was available and for what price could be found either through a pokedex or through one of the computers on site. If a potential buyer decided they wanted a more personal inspection of his prospective purchase the girls were sent via transporter to where he was.

                “I still can’t believe Jerome never showed up to meet us.” Lilith huffed as she and Jack walked through the rain to the Bittatits Trade Center.

                “It works out for me I didn’t want to meet him in the first place.” Jack replied calmly. “What’s far more annoying is that it started raining again after we were already headed for Bittatits.” Jack tried to wipe the water from his face only to give up as he was instantly soaked again. At least the rain is good for one thing Jack thought with an eye on Lilith’s rear as her microskirt clung enough more to her figure then it normally did.

                Lilith put a little more sway in her step much to Jack enjoyment. “You still would have gone even if it had been raining when we started, you’re just excited to add a new girl.”

                Jack playfully smacked her ass “I seem to remember someone almost as excited as I was to get another girl.” He said with a leer. Lilith merely grinned and walked through the entrance to the Trade Center followed shortly by Jack.

                “Hello sir and welcome to Bittatits Trade Center where happiness is just a bit of a trade away.” A Catgirl by the front door greeted. “Do you need any help today.”

                “I’m looking for the ranch office.”

                “It’s the third floor stairs are on your left.” The Catgirl turned to help the tamer coming in after Jack and he walked up to the third floor.

                The lobby of the third floor was fairly small in order to dedicate more space to the room where the actual buying would take place. Two computers sat in a corner with the ranch’s website already up and a potted plant in another corner were all the ornamentation the room had. The wall opposite the stairs had a small window cut out next to a door with an Ingenue behind it.

                “My name is Jack Rivers and I’m here to see about purchasing a pokegirl.” Jack said brusquely handing his pokedex over the counter. “I would like to take a look at your Dark Elves specifically.”

                The Ingenue typed his information into a computer before nodding and handing back his pokedex. “We have 3 Dark Elves available right now and all 3 of them qualify for the credit you have on your account. If you’ll step through the door Amy will show you to a private room.” A buzz could be heard and the door slowly began to open to reveal a Catgirl with a nametag that said Amy on it.

                “If you’ll follow me sir I’ll show you to where you can wait while your selection is brought to you.” She began to lead Jack and Lilith down a branching hallway with windowed rooms placed every 10 feet.

                “Here we are sir, please wait here and I will be back shortly. I must remind you that while you may inspect the girls as you want taming the prospective girls is strictly not allowed.” The room was the one at the very end of the hallway and only had a single chair and a painting in it.

                “They really aren’t into ambience around here are they.” Jack slowly walked into the room and sat in the chair. Lilith followed and delicately lowered herself onto his lap to await Amy’s return.

                Amy returned 15 minutes later with 3 Dark Elves in tow only to find Lilith had grown bored with waiting and decided to spend the time in a more productive manner. Blinking at the Succubus going reverse cowgirl she said “The Dark Elves are here for your inspection sir, whenever you are ready.”

                With a sigh of reluctance Lilith stopped riding Jack and began to reposition her clothes. A rueful grin was all Jack gave as he stepped up to inspect the girls alongside Lilith. Two of them held no pull for him and were quickly dismissed as an option. The last Dark Elf though was a true gem, while not infernals in the strictest sense they were the pre-evolution to one and as a result his affinity would work on those that showed a mindset similar to their evolution.

                “I’ve already made my decision.” He walked up to the girl he felt the pull from and smiled warmly. She grinned back ferally baring her teeth. He lightly cupped her chin “Yes she will do perfectly.”

“Alright Lilith you can have Alpha’s prerogative on this, do you want to stay and watch with the possibility of joining in?” Jack said downing a can of Stamina XXX in preparation for meeting the Dark Elf. 

“I would like that, master.” Lilith said removing the corset holding back her breasts from view.

Lilith took a seat on a chair in the corner and Jack took a deep breath and released the Dark Elf into the world again.

An ebony goddess was the best description for her. Just under 5’6” tall, with pitch black skin that seemed to almost blend in with the dimly lit room.                 “Lilith come over here and clean us up.” Jack ordered.

                “Our next destination is Pewtit city and to get there we’ll have to go through Viridick Forest. The trip can take awhile so we’ll need to stock up on some supplies before we go.” Jack said to Lilith as they walked up the stairs in the Bittatits Trade Center to the second floor. “The store at Bittatits should have everything we need but I’m also looking for some books on magic so the two of you can at least learn the Fire spell and hopefully a water spell. Almost everything we’ll come across will be weak to fire so it will be extremely useful.”

                “Where will we get the books  on magic master.” Lilith asked.

                “Well Fire and Water are both very common spells so might be able to find them along with the T2’s at Bittatits. If that doesn’t pan out then we’ll check out some pawn shops since there a popular dumping ground for magic books.”

                Bittatits Shop prided itself on its vast selection of goods a Tamer might need. A counter ran the entire length of a wall with every kind of evolution stone as well as a number of T2s behind it. The opposite wall was covered in gear that would prove useful to a traveling Tamer tents, sleeping bags, compass’s of all different sizes and models. The back wall opposite the stairs leading into the store held their selection of books. Books on taming, and caring of pokegirls predominated but a few books on magic were occasionally to be found. The center was devoted to clothing for a tamer and all of it was made to resist a great deal of damage. The wall containing the stairway offered pmeds and camp food.

                Jack entered the shop and immediately headed for the wall containing the books in search of their books on magic. Searching through the selection he eventually found a book detailing how to cast Fire and another on casting Lightning. Having found the books he needed he picked up some pokeballs and pmeds before ending up at the evolution stone counter.

                “Do you have any dusk stones or moon stones in stock?” Jack asked the Ingenue standing behind the counter.

                “I’m sorry sir we are actually out of dusk stones, we do have several moon stones available for 6,000 SLC though.”The Ingenue replied bringing down a box and opening it to reveal the glowing white stone within.

                “I’ll take it.” Jack said after calculating how much SLC he had available. The day’s shopping trip would wipe out almost all of his funds but a feral hunting trip would hopefully fix that.

                “Do you intend to evolve Chandra right now master?” Lilith asked seeing the moon stone Jack bought.

                “It’s only 100 miles from here to Pewtit, however the route leading there is a winding one through Viridick forest. If we pushed directly there we could make it in 3 days, a more sedate pace will get us there in a week. Since we are in no real hurry we’ll take a more sedate pace through Viridick in order to train the two of you in the hope of taking on the Pewtit gym. We’ll also be capturing all the ferals we can find in order to make some SLC as we are now almost broke.” Jack marked off their expected path on a map he had bought for that purpose.

                “The rest of today will be spent working on learning the two spells I managed to find. We set out at first light tomorrow whether you know the spells or not but the faster you learn the spells the sooner we can get to tonight’s taming session.” Seeing a much greater interest in the two tomes he held than before Jack filed away that motivation for another time. “Alright let’s get ready to go.”
