Evolves From: Mamaripede (Dream Stone)

Until early in the second century A.S., it was only theorized that the Mamaripede was capable of evolution. After all, the Cutiepede evolved, and many of the parallel evolution paths of Pokégirls possessed a certain symmetry. It was not until a Watcher in the Slot League observed a Mamaripede stumble across a small cache of unrefined evolution stones that the method of achieving this evolution was discovered.

The best word to describe the Milliprisma is “colorful”. They are one of the most brilliantly colored and vibrant (in both attitude and coloration) Pokégirls to exist, and are often placed as displays or ornaments in the social events of the wealthy and influential. In regards to shape, there are few or no differences between Mamaripedes and Milliprisma; at most, the eyes widen slightly, the antennae may lengthen, and there may be an increase of at most an inch in height and bust size. The greatest change is in their coloration. The reflective shell along their back is covered in vivid hues, dozens of colors that constantly shift and change. Their hair is equally colorful, scintillating across the spectrum, and the breed is even more proud of it than they were before evolving. Their eyes are wide and bright, changing colors depending on their mood and reflecting the breed’s love for life.

The appeal of the Milliprisma, apart from their beautiful appearance, can be found in their ability to manipulate light. Milliprisma instinctively manipulate, control, and change light and color in ways unmatched by any other Pokégirl. They can not only bring light to a place, but also take it, returning their surroundings to darkness. By twisting the light and affecting color, they can create purely visual illusions, allowing them to imitate several Psychic-type attacks, such as Flash, Psychic Illusion, and Confusion. It is almost effortless for them to permanently change something’s or someone’s color, and people they dislike may wake up to find their skin is now naturally a repulsive shade of some hideous, unnatural color that defies verbal description and that Researchers have been unable to recreate without the aid of a Milliprisma.

Many Milliprisma can be found as support in the field of entertainment. Their ability to change the coloration of the skin, hair, and clothes of others makes them valuable stage hands, and their ability to affect light is helpful with making truly realistic special effects. They can also often be found as artists. They can change the color on a minute scale, and are considered to be top-notch artists, as their tendency to use illusions means that they are skilled at transferring images from their mind to reality, although they are obviously not as skilled as the Ar-Tits breed is. However, to those who possess the ability, naturally or through magic, to see in ranges of light outside of the spectrum visible to humans find their work in those areas of the spectrum to be absolutely superb. Milliprisma can not only manipulate light, but they are capable in seeing in spectrums far beyond what humans can, capable of seeing not only the “visible” range of light, but can also see ultraviolet and infrared aspects of the electromagnetic spectrum. This is because Milliprisma are the only existing pentachromats; this means that, unlike humans who possess only three types of cones in the eye, they possess five, and thus are capable of perceiving far more colors than any other being possibly could, unless augmented by magic. Not only are the rods in their eyes extremely sensitive, but when exposed to sudden bright light they instinctively darken their eyes, allowing the Milliprisma to see perfectly in anything short of complete darkness and rendering the breed immune to light-based attacks. They are not, however, any more proficient at seeing long distances than a normal human.

Beyond their normal sight abilities, the breed’s Ghost typing allows them to see beyond what normal light or sight could grant. Milliprisma can read people’s auras, viewing different emotions and levels of health as various colors. They do not necessarily know which colors mean which emotions, but it with practice they could determine one’s mental, physical, and emotional state with a brief glance. Due to this Milliprisma often fit in well in a harem environment. They are capable of knowing when others have grievances, and with their vibrant and vivacious personalities are often capable of drawing it into the light and helping correct it. Most Milliprisma dislike conflict, which leads to them doing their best to keeping the harem a cohesive whole. Many Milliprisma lament the loss of their healing ability, so when placed in the Alpha or Beta position often devote themselves to making useful to make up for the lack, although they otherwise lack any special strategizing or planning skill. However, it is rare for the usually lively, energetic, and often flighty Milliprisma to be truly effective at the position, so are best left out of positions of authority.

Milliprisma are skilled combatants, making frequent use of their light manipulating abilities to obtain victory. Their skills in their humanoid form are limited, and Milliprisma are much more effective when in their tauric form, which follows the same pattern of coloration as their shell did before (indeed, it is speculated by Researchers that the increased ability to manipulate light comes from their shell, which is obviously much larger in their Inhumanoid form despite the upper body being covered in human skin rather than being an extension of the shell as it was with the Mamaripede)). The greatest tool the Milliprisma possesses is their ability to control what their enemy sees, and through their blinding and confusing light attacks, Invis, and Psychic Illusion they are almost impossible to find, which is ironic for such a brightly colored Pokégirl. The breed possesses several defensive techniques, including Dark Shield, Shadow, Reflect, and Mirror Coat, which they use to make up for their lack of durability. Many of their offensive attacks affect their enemy in ways other than damage, and most Milliprisma prefer to use these as soon as possible to further weaken their enemy; however, very few of their attacks actually deal a great deal of damage, making the Milliprisma’s battles very long; however, this is rarely a problem, as the breed does have a higher endurance and is not a very active fighter. An injured Milliprisma will generally use Cocoon of Darkness, although this prevents them from affecting the light around them as well. A more combat-effective method of healing for the breed is their Energy Drain attack, which curiously also drains the color of their enemy to gray for several hours.

Despite the obvious upsides to possessing a Milliprisma, not all who have a Mamaripede choose to evolve their Pokégirl. Milliprisma, after all, all vulnerable to more attacks than the Steel-type Mamaripede is, and should the Prismatic Pokégirl ever enter melee combat her loss is assured. They also loose all of their attacks from their previous evolutions, save for Cocoon of Darkness, Dark Shield, and their newly-regained Aura of Cute. Perhaps the biggest reason for not permitting them to evolve can be seen in the loss of their ability to heal others; Milliprisma are unable to produce the healing pills the Mamaripede and Pollita are best known for, and for a harem that depended upon their Mamaripede for healing that could be disastrous.

Milliprisma are enthusiastic partners in the Taming room. Because of their desire to experience new things, they are open to try virtually anything sexual, although most find that they dislike how controlling and constrictive bondage is. They love to Tame in public, where everyone can see them; however, for Tamers who don’t want to be seen, most are willing to turn them invisible while Taming. They prefer positions that display their back and hair, and love to look into their partners eyes while Taming. Curiously for a rather exhibitionist Pokégirl, they prefer solo Taming sessions, enjoying the intimacy of their partner. However, Tamers should make sure to check their appearance after a Taming session, as Milliprisma have been known to change skin, eye, and hair color to shades more pleasing to the eye.

Feral Milliprisma are rather hard to find. Although their mind regresses to animalistic levels, they retain their ability to manipulate light, and as such are fiendishly skilled at hiding, distracting, and avoiding those they consider to be a threat. However, they are not very dangerous Ferals, preferring to run away soon after combat begins. The area a Feral Milliprisma inhabits is often rather bizarre in appearance, as they like to make their surroundings more colorful. Thresholding into a Milliprisma is thankfully rare, as the transformation is as painful as Thresholding into a Pollita. However, due to the more lively, curious, and energetic mindset most Milliprisma possess few desire to be Level Fived, instead preferring to accept it as a new experience, if not one they would like to repeat.
