During the Revenge War, Jurumi were frequently seen either paired with their pre-evolutions, the Sonica, and thus lessening the amount of soldiers the Sonica would have to run through and/or attack at one time or, alternatively, work as mountain scouts. At first, researchers believed the two breeds had no real connection, save for working with each other often. This all changed in 66AS when the good Dr. Nick Eggrobut had a nasty spill, due to a playful Sonica, while holding a tray of evolution stones. While he and the Sonica, who was reprimanded for her actions, collected the fallen stones, said Sonica had her own trip and slipped, falling onto a fallen Fire Stone and promptly evolved upon contact in the Jurumi.

The evolution and overall traits of a Jurumi are marked by some notable key traits. The large oval and lines on a Sonica will change shape and size, as well as location. The lines shrink from their arms and legs to the large oval that morphs in size to a small white crescent mark just above the breasts, which do not grow much, maybe jumping half a cup size at most. In addition to the crescent mark, red circles appear on top of and in the palm of both the Jurumi's hands; lines come down from these marks to the wrist and make a red band. Natural Jurumi will have a hair color and fur color(if applicable) that will run the gamut of reds and purples. Evolved Jurumi will have their fur color as a Sonica darkened and/or gain a slight reddish tint. Speaking of the hair, the Jurumi's hair is no longer spiked. But instead, it flattens and grows a great length, stopping at about her knees, though some have hair that grows to their ankles. Besides the change of markings, hair and fur color change, and the growth of hair there are very few changes. An important physical and mental change all Jurumi who evolved from Sonica eventually must get over is the loss of maximum speed. However, once they get accept the change and losses they find the evolution has it's own set of advantages.

One of the advantages that most Jurumi enjoy is the boost in strength, due to her torso and arms gaining an increase in muscle mass, while still managing to keep her looking sexy. The new markings on her fists are her main source of her abilities with fire, though this could be looked at as a curse and a blessing; Jurumi are only able to produce flames from her hands, save for heating up her internal temperature when needed. Luckily for Tamers, they only increase their internal temperature when in the throes of battle. A major oddity that left researchers pondering was the Jurumi's ability to use chi, which is typically seen as something only fighting types are best at manipulating. Later tests found that fighting types are still the best at manipulating chi. Jurumi's main use for the energy is manipulating her long hair into a makeshift glider: she can float through the air, descending at a slow pace. This trait alone made people question if the Jurumi were able to do more besides strengthening their hair, quite possibly linking her to the Godiva. Tests have successfully proven that the Jurumi and Godiva are in no ways related, though like the Godiva, the Jurumi takes high offense to the idea of her hair being cut. The second ability of the Jurumi is to use her chi to make spike like protrusions from her fists. These spikes grant her an amazing ability to climb vertical surfaces.

Jurumi share the same love of exercise as the Sonica does, but have a preference for martial arts, specifically styles that favor use of the hands and fists. Sadly, they share the universal trait for most fire types of being prone to anger, but usually, most Jurumi are calm and centered. Oddly enough, Jurumi (at least those evolved from Sonica) seem to build a rivalry with Sonicas, wanting to prove that their strength is better than the Sonica's speed. As well as having an interest in martial arts, most like fist weapons, even a pair of weighted gloves or, simple pair of brass knuckles. Granted, said weapons or gloves should be enhanced to withstand intense heat of course.

Jurumi make better trainers then Sonica, specifically in melee combat. They are decent across the board for enhancements, along with having several styles under their belt, should their tamer permit.  Her temper at time does not make her the best for an Alpha position in the harem, but they do make wonderful Betas. Jurumi usually keep the same taming habits they had as Sonica, though natural Jurumi have a thing for having their hands bound, making them unusable by her.

During battles, Jurumi are hard and fast, getting close to their oppnent quickly and wailing on them with quick jabs and hard punches, usually coated in flames for a Fire Punch or pulsing with Chi, which signals her Spiked Fist attack. When pressed, they access the move Power Drive, enhancing their speed and strength, by half of their usual strength. Jurumi are incredibly dangerous when driven into a fury; the rage she feels will likely set off Power Drive, making her even more stronger but more prone to mistakes. Despite being a mostly physical attacker, the Jurumi does have access to some short-mid range moves so they aren't entirely defenseless for an opponent that is out of their reach.

When feral, Jurumi will usually head to higher ground, like a mountain, and claim part of it as her own territory, keeping outsiders out. While feral, they retain the ability to manipulate their chi, but not being able to use it for attacks, only for climbing and gliding. Thresholding into a Jurumi is rarer occurrence then a Sonica threshold, but comes from females who have both Sonica DNA and a history of fire types as ancestors. A major sign of a girl thresholding into a Jurumi can be a rapid increase in hair length as well as changing colors.
