Used during the war of Revenge to enter small areas and cause havoc on a localized scale, the Sprite was once thought to be separate distinct evolutionary breeds of the FairyCute. The method of evolution was studied early on, discovering that while an elemental stone was capable of turning a FairyCute into one of the four subtypes, a Dream Stone would result in a pokegirl that changed with the seasons. Tied closely to the seasons, a Sprite is a fairy type who embodies their season, even elementally.

In their normal form, most Sprites stand between 4 and 5.5 feet (1.2 - 1.7 meters) and tend to look like normal (though short in stature) human women. Hair color usually takes on either human standard shades or colors close to the subtype's season, such as whites and blues for winter, or greens or floral colors for spring. Eye colors are typically within the human norm, as are skin tones. Ears may be rounded as a standard humans, or slightly pointed at the top. When summoned, the wings show a wide variety of forms. Mostly appearing insectile, a Sprite's wings may look like a butterfly, dragonfly, leaves, stylized snowflakes, or tangible rainbows or other forms of energy. Wings are usually quite large when compared to the pokegirl, being around as tall as the pokegirl herself in either form, and 1.5 times an individual's height in the width of the wings. The wide variety of wing types and patterns means that these dismissible appendages are almost like fingerprints, rarely do two Sprites have the same wing type and patterns. Shifting Sprites tend to change colors with the seasons, though their appearance doesn't drastically alter.

Upon using their Reduce technique, the breed shrinks down to one-tenth to one-twelfth of their height, making this fairy breed the smallest known pokegirl when in their tiny form. Usually the breed sizes are a minute 4 inches to 6.5 inches (10 - 17 cm). Occasionally, the breed also gains skin tones more vivid and in-line with their season, though this does not change any abilities an individual may possess. Wing patterns (if any) may also become more vivid and the wings may begin to glow. Some instances of illumination are bright enough to make the pokegirl appear as a floating mote of light. This may or may not be able to be controlled by the pokegirl.

Curious, helpful, and energetic are the three most common descriptors of the Sprite, with most tamers listing the breed's curiosity first. Indeed, these fairy pokegirls tend to peek, eavesdrop, and snoop to varying degrees. The breed tends to have a helpful attitude, most pulling their weight in regards to chores and other needed tasks. While some argue that this means the breed would be a good beta in general, harem positions should be taken on an individual basis.

Hit and run tactics are naturally favored by Sprites, which utilizes the breed's small size, speed, and agility to great effect. Oddly, the breed's speed, agility, and durability is the same regardless of size, though most researchers attribute this phenomenon to a Sprite's magic affinity. Other tactics tend to vary based on the Season of this fairy breed (or the fairy's current 'season'), or by individual training and skill. Taming should be taken on an individual basis.

With a reduced feral state, Sprites tend to see a dip in intelligence, difficulty keeping human size, and a skewed sense of time. Ferals will typically form small troupes of 10-15 individuals that are usually related. These pokegirls will choose areas emulating their favored season and nest in areas that are usually hard to reach by full sized pokegirls. If their nest is disturbed, the group swarms the intruder, which can be deadly for humans. Sprites are also notoriously difficult to tame back from feral, as their typical size requires awkward or inventive taming. Should a tamer capture a Sprite who has assumed their full size, it is recommended that paraspray be used to keep the pokegirl from shrinking until she is properly tamed.

The first day of threshold matters the most when a human girl transforms into a Sprite, as the season at that time determines which element the pokegirl will have. Rarely will threshold result in a shifting style Sprite, such instances have been speculated to have more magic type pokegirls in their heritage. Threshold begins as the human girl begins to shrink over the course of several days, her pokegirl traits painlessly coming in at the same time. At then end of a week (on average), the new Sprite subtype is capable of regaining her normal size. Thresholders are typically given up to ranches or sold into accompanying businesses.

Pixie, the Spring Fairy (Thunder Stone, Spring or Rainy)

Element: Electric
Strong Vs: Electric, Flying, Steel, Water
Weak Vs: Dragon, Ground, Plant, Rock
Attacks: Command Plants, Thunder Bolt, Static Barrier, Pleasure Spark, Lightning Body, Zapring, Lightning Strike
Enhancements: Elemental Absorption (Electric), Intuitive Aptitude (Plant Care), Recovery, Fast Healing

Pixie tend towards spring themes that match their season, though it is startling to most to see a petal winged pokegirl fire bolts of electricity. Rarely, if the pokegirl is evolved during a thunderstorm, they have electric themes in their appearance. Pixies excel at plant care, despite their typing, and can command plants around them to grow (not as well as true plant types, though). Occasionally, thunderstorms can produce Pixies despite the season.

Djinni, the Summer Fairy (Fire Stone, Summer or Dry)

Element: Fire
Strong Vs: Bug, Fire, Ice, Plant, Steel
Weak Vs: Ground, Rock, Water
Attacks: Flamethrower, Ignite, Warm Embrace, Shell Shield, Flame Sword, Fireball, Fire Strike
Enhancements: Enhanced Strength (x2), Elemental Absorption (Fire), Heat Aura, Pyrokinesis

Djinni like to remain in their smaller form, but they're also the most pugnacious of the Sprites. This subtype tends to sport fiery themes, and wings that appear flame-like are common. Occasionally, deserts can produce Djinni despite the season. Djinni may use hit and run tactics in their fighting, but as their strength doesn't diminish that much even while small, those hits typically pack quite punch. 'Living Fireball' is a favored battle tactic.

Brownie, the Autumnal Fairy (Leaf Stone, Autumn or Dry)

Element: Ground
Strong Vs: Electric, Fire, Poison, Rock, Steel
Weak Vs: Flying, Ice, Plant, Water
Attacks: Resonate, Soil Armor, Mud Slap, Earthquake, Pratfall, Dig, Eternal Softness
Enhancements: Enhanced Endurance (x2), Intuitive Aptitude (Harvesting and Preserving), Deathsight, Geokinesis

Autumn and harvest themes are common with Brownies. This subtype tends to dislike using their wings, and rarely summons them. Brownies excel at harvesting and preserving food, such as pickling, making jams, jellies, wines, preserves, and generally any type of food. They also use their Deathsight to see fruits or vegetables are ripe. As such, they are often used as assistants to Iron Chefs. Occasionally, farmed fields will result in a Brownie no matter what the season.

Nixie, the Water Fairy (Water Stone, Winter or Rainy)

Element: Water
Strong Vs: Fire, Rock, Water
Weak Vs: Electric, Plant
Attacks: Water Gun, Water Barrier, Slick Stroke, Rime, Rush Splash, Ice Beam, Icicles
Enhancements: Affinity (Ice), Elemental Absorption (Water), Hydrokinesis, Improved Respiration, Sleepless (4/24)

Ice, water, and other cold weather themes are common for a Nixie. These pokegirls can be quite effective in battle as they can lift water from their environment for both water attacks and for freezing into ice attacks. Often, arctic areas produce Nixie no matter what the season. Nixies also tend to enjoy pranking more than other Sprite subtypes.

Changeling, the Seasonal Sprite (Dream Stone, Extremely Rare naturally)

Element: Changes between Electric, Fire, Ground, and Water depending on season.
Strong Vs: Varies
Weak Vs: Varies
Attacks: Reduce, Enlarge, Love N Affection, Daze, Quick Attack, (Varies by Season)
Enhancements: Flight (Wings), Affinity (Magic), Enhanced Speed (x4), Enhanced Agility (x4), Metamorph (Size Alteration, Dismissible Wings), Reduced Feral, Enhanced Durability (x3), Elemental Shift (Seasonal), Enhancement Shift (Seasonal - See above Subtypes).

Changelings tend to have less seasonal themes, often their wings are insectile, though this isn't set in stone. Their skin colors will change with the seasons, along with their element and some of their innate abilities. Rarely, wing color will also change. These changes happen quickly in a swirl of the energy the pokegirl is shifting into. Tamers are warned that traveling quickly via teleport will also cause changes, especially going into areas like deserts or travelling from north to south of the equator or vice-versa. This subtype can be used as a quick way to tell the seasons. Changelings tend to be adaptable, and are often quick-witted.
