The time it takes for a Tarot to complete their deck of cards varies greatly, some taking months while others take years, but eventually, the breed completes their deck of bound spirits and evolves. This process is largely internal, and much like the evolution into the Blessed Template, this evolution frequently happens when the pokegirl is alone and at rest. Some members of the breed have mentioned a quest or test which they must first pass before evolving, though the details of this remain largely contested among the breed. Researchers posit that this quest is a mental or spiritual one, perhaps given a semblance of realism through the same process of magic that captures the spirits for the breed. Regardless of the method, the result of this transformation is the Mystic.

Mystics are known by many names, depending on the area that the breed is from as well as individual preferences of tamers and individuals of the breed. Some common names are CardMaster, CardMistress, CardMystic, and ClowMystic, most variations seem to be plays on the word card and either mystic or master/mistress. Despite the large assortment of names for the breed, they change little from their previous form. Still unmistakable from human women, the breed's height averages out to be 4 and a half feet, though this is the top of the bell curve. Likewise, the breed does not seem to age, remaining on average 16, though individuals appearing as young as 12 and as old as 20 have been recorded. As with the Tarot, simple recall into a standard pokeball will satisfy law enforcement that the pokegirl is of legal taming age.

Reliance on their cards has become common place for the Mystic breed, though now any other magical talent they once had is replaced by the ability to create cards. Due to the absence of a need to battle and capture ghost pokegirls, this evolved card wielder is often noted to turn towards research, though like their pre-evolved form, this breed's personality is highly dependent on the individual. Creating cards does not require research, though it does speed the creation process. Card creation takes at least a month, with more powerful cards requiring more time and energy in the creation process. Rarely, extreme battle stress causes a Mystic to spontaneously create a new card, though after the stressor is over, the pokegirl usually collapses and must recover from the vast expenditure of energy. Like the Tarot, these created cards can have three powers, though the cards' wills are entirely subservient to the Mystic, making them more artifacts of power than actual bound spirits. However, these cards will not work for other magic users, including other Mystics (though individuals of the breed have been known to copy each others' work).

Pinning down one battle preference for this breed is impossible, as the variations in personality combined with the variability of the spirits/cards in the pokegirl's possession means that any fight with a Mystic should be taken on an individual basis. It should be noted that while this breed, like the Tarot before them, have very few listed standard techniques, Draw activates any one of their cards, making this technique have a wider range of effects than Metronome. When the Mystic wants to use their magic a card appears in their hands, exactly what effect occurs depends on the card is used, for example a fire card might result in a flamethrower attack, whilst a heal card might heal the injuries of a harem sister. The breed is known to carry a staff which can act as an emergency weapon or sometimes used in their magic, such as using a sword card to turn it into a sword.

Whatever the breed's apparent age, Mystics are as enthusiastic about taming as any other pokegirl. Like personalities, preferences vary according to individuals, as does their attitudes about the act itself. Many tamers avoid the breed, as most have the reputation of being 'permanently chibi', and it should be noted that very young appearing members of the breed have difficulty birthing, much like Chibi templated pokegirls. Oddly, when any of the breed undergo parthogenesis, their offspring do not always stop their aging at the same apparent age of the mother, resulting in an equal chance for very young or older appearing members of the breed.

The feral state of this magic using breed is very light, though this state makes them unable to use their cards in any fashion, and any attempt to do so produces a random effect, even if the desired card is selected. Cards activate by themselves at random times as well, making this breed dangerous depending on the cards in an individual's possession. While the breed has human level intelligence, their sense of time is often skewed, and the individual uses of their cards are often hard to recall.

While the Tarot breed is more common for pokegirls of mixed magical heritage, human girls who threshold directly into a Mystic usually have a stronger ancestry of the breed line. Threshold is extremely hard to notice in this breed, as they virtually remain unchanged unless they threshold at a very late age (at which point age regression makes them a threshold suspect). As the only evidence of threshold is an easily hidden staff that is summoned upon threshold, there have been many cases of Mystics masquerading as human women until caught.
