Early on sukebe found that capitalizing in on the fear and dislike of snakes found in most of western culture could lead to a powerful means of psychological warfare. According to records found after the revenge war, due to the success of the Ulupi and her evolutions, Sukebe had chosen to experiment with a new serpent based breed that would become the base form for many evolutions to come. Despite being named after creatures from the mythology of the pre-sukebe white lotus league which most often were depicted as serpents with human-like faces, Nagas are snake-human hybrids that have the upper body of a human woman and the lower body of a large serpent. These pokegirls were used during the war to sneak up unsuspecting enemies while stronger, front-line forces did most of the work. They would then pick off stragglers and those trying to escape without much effort.

Nagas are a long pokegirl, often ranging between ten and fifteen feet long with three to four feet of this length coming from their human torso. Having a mild metamorphic talent, but not as great as those of their evolutions, they can create a human waist, butt, and human-like vagina but not true legs. These pokegirls do not have a standard hair color, eye color, scale color, or bust size. The majority of Naga have pupils that are round but there is a minority in the population have eyes that are more cat-like in nature. They can emit toxins from both their canines and their fingernails and can change their venom to one of five different types (poison, paralyzation, sleep, heat, and lust) but there may be lingering traces of their previous venom for upwards of a week.

Nagas are stealthy by nature. Using this to their advantage, hit and run tactics are their main strategy. Using the various toxins their bodies normally produce they can bring down much larger and stronger foes than they normally would be able to. Sleep venom is their usual attack, this allows them time to wrap around their foes to finish them off at their leisure. Nagas have a partially cartilaginous skeleton. Only their skull, mandible, ribcage with collar bone, scapula, and spine are made of true bones. This severely limits their strength when lifting but they are good at crushing things with their strong coils. Due to this lack a full skeleton made of true bone matter they have an impressive level of flexibility allowing them to curl up into tight coils and even lick their own lower backs without relying on their extraordinarily long tongues. There are also other considerations to take into account when owning a Naga. The breed, while warm blooded, is often sensitive to cold weather and doubly so to ice attacks. Tamers should take this into consideration not only during battles but during travel as well. The breed tends to become lethargic and sleepy in cold weather. It was perhaps this fact that lead to the common misconception that the Naga and her evolutions were ectothermic.

Snake type pokegirls aren't always popular due to the type of animal they are based on but they do have their admirers. People tend to think of Nagas as being purely lesbian in orientation but even this varies between individuals with most being bisexual with lesbian leanings. These pokegirls tend to do best in the harems of wandering tamers and tradesmen due to the size of their lower bodies and do to fact that, unlike some of their evolutions, they can't assume a bipedal shape. Taming habits tend to vary between individuals but most like the full body contact of wrapping themselves around their partner during and after intercourse.

Nagas become totally animalistic when feral, losing almost all capability of higher thought. They are common to almost every league and found in almost any warm to temperate habitat. Making their homes in caves and burrows, they tend to be skittish of intruders, preferring to run away rather than fight. Threshold is fairly common in those with poison and snake ancestry. Threshold into a Naga is a very painful and frightening process that most often lasts from a week to two weeks. During this time their legs fuse together and elongate. Eventually the skin that covered their former legs is shed, leaving them with a fully developed snake-like tail.
