The evolution into a Queenler causes the Krabbit to become a darker and slightly duller shade of color, preventing them from standing out as much as the Krabbit does. They grow in size, as well; although the growth in height and breast size is expected with an evolution, what is particularly noticeable is that the claw over their primary hand grows up to three or four times its normal size, allowing it to serve as a wickedly sharp weapon. Their carapace changes as well; long and slightly sharp studs appear across its surface, serving as an extra deterrent to attacks. Unlike as Krabbits, they have a great deal of control over their armor, and can withdraw any part of it at a moments notice; when battle is not around, they often go without, reveling in their ability to show off their body. They are also able to withstand deeper pressures in the ocean, and can be found at extremely low points in the sea—one was even found in the Marianna Trench.

Feral Queenler follow many habits of their pre-evolved forms. While they do come to shore to rest, it isn't a guarantee that they will, as many are so deep into the ocean that it would take days, weeks, or even months to so much as see the beach. They sometimes sleep at the bottom of the ocean since they are confident in their fighting abilities to ward of predators. When they do come to the shore, they really don't take great pains to hide themselves since they are skilled fighters, and their giant claw is a powerful weapon. Usually the best way to capture is a Queenler is to first find a way to restrain the claw. It isn't easy since the Queenler has quicker reflexes and can move the claw without any kind of strain despite its weight.

Taming a Queenler is easier than a Krabbit due to their control over their carapace; however, they rarely ever reveal the hand within their claw. It is a source of pride to them, and it is very rare that any Tamer not Delta bonded to them could convince them to withdraw the claw into their body. Tamers may dislike that their bodies are less sensitive than that of a Krabbit, but they also have very soft and delicate hands; one Tamer who managed to get his Queenler to drop her claw described her handjob as being like more dexterous oral sex.

Queenlers are rarely as calm and mild-mannered as they once were as Krabbits, and are actually rather forwards in presenting their opinions, even if no one wants their opinions.. Still, once they do voice their opinion in a matter then they tend to let others decide; they aren’t actually particularly regal or dominant Pokégirls, which is rare for a Pokégirl described as ‘Royal’. Even so, they have a great deal of pride, and their tendency to bubble at the mouth when unhappy (a holdover of their time as a Krabbit) is of particular embarrassment to them. They enjoy fighting, and will often try to start spars with others in a harem.

Their large claw is typically seen as the key to victory for most Queenler. Their strategies revolve around closing to melee, and the typically use their other abilities only to support their close-range abilities. While this would normally be a dangerous reliance (and indeed, Queenlers who have for some reason become unable to use their claw become demoralized and often lose), their claw is an extraordinarily powerful weapon for the breed, as it is very heavy, strong, and sharp, but one that they can wield as though it were as light as a feather.

Threshold cases into Queenler is rather scarce as most Thresholding descendents of Queenler turn into Krabbits. The rare cases of Queenler threshold usually have significant muscle increase in the arm that will develop the claw, and they will get increased appetites to get enough energy to produce their carapace and muscle growth. The transformation is quick and painless, often lasting less than an hour.
