Well known as the aquatic evolution of the Eva, this water type fox-squirrel enjoyed a spike in popularity early after the discovery of stone induced evolutions, and today the Vaporita's numbers rival that of their pre-evolution thanks to the old breeding programs and wild parthogensis. Noted particularly for the breed's ability to mimic states of water, some rumors state that this pokegirl breed is made up of sentient water, though this has been tested thoroughly and refuted. The rumor still lives on due to the breed's ability to use the Dissolve technique to mimic steam, water vapor, or mist. Some well trained Vaporitas are even able to dissolve into a flurry of snowflakes, lending fuel to the rumor. Though not made up of sentient water, this breed does indeed have a special connection to the rivers, lakes, and oceans.

While Vaporitas run the bell curve of appearance from odd colored women with animal ears and a tail to the very anthromorphic, they are also divided into two sub-groups of appearances. Mammalian members of the breed are often furred when anthromorphic, and have small vulpine ears along with tails with flukes that are flattened laterally. Typical swimming style is usually with an 'up-down' motion of the tail sometimes aided by the feet. Pseudo-reptilian members of the breed are sometimes covered in scales that are typically small enough to go unnoticed until closely inspected, large fin-like ears, and tails with flukes that are flattened dorsally. Dorsal ridges are also common in pseudo-reptilian members. Typical swimming style with pseudo-reptilian is a 'left-right' motion with the tail, often with the feet used mainly for steering.

Universal to the breed is the commonality of counter coloration (be it skin tones or fur/scales) as well as webbing between the toes and fingers. Commonly this webbing ends at the second joint of the fingers and thumb; occasionally it ends at the second finger joint of the fingers (though the thumb lacks this second joint and the webbing remains on the first joint); and rarely fully webbed hands are noted). Blues, whites, and blacks are common colors to encounter, even in hair color should a member have hair. Rarely, some members of the breed have a 'mix and match' appearance in regards to mammalian and pseudo-reptilian styles, creating confusion as to if these sub-appearances are truly distinct or simply a common catalog of similar traits.

While personalities of the breed are often listed as 'calm' or 'mild' this is by no means standard for the breed. Stories have abounded about 'wild child' members of the breed that seemed to be more Tavernmaid than Eva evolution. Some tamers have described their Vaporitas as 'brooding' or 'philosophical' or site that 'still waters run deep' in regards to their pokegirl's personality, causing some researchers to question if it's simply the breed's water typing that causes them to be described so, or if it is the water typing that causes the breed to act in a similar manner. Research is still ongoing.

If you battle a Vaporita, expect to get wet. This breed's abilities are centered around the control and use of water as a weapon. The breed excels at utilizing hydrokinesis to control the water around them, and many opposing pokegirls have been surprised by the breed pulling water out of the surrounding plant life or from ground water reserves to pull off techniques that some water types wouldn't be able to away from large bodies of water. Rumors persist of some well trained Vaporitas learning a water-based variant of Shadow Possession, where the water fox-squirrel was able to use their hydrokinesis to control the water inherent to the bodies of their opponent and control them like puppets. Researchers have yet to see any reliable proof of this.

Like the breed's personality basis, taming preferences vary. Though a preference for immersed tamings has been noted, this breed does not require it (nor do they require immersion to stay healthy, unlike some aquatic breeds). Similar to other pokegirl breeds, these water types tend to mold their preferences toward their tamer's favorites. Some trends in breed taming habits have been noted. Vaporita, like their pre-evolved form, seem to enjoy gentle stroking or scratching at the base of the ears. The base of the tail has also frequently been noted to be an erogenous zone.

While this breed does not require immersions in water to stay healthy, ferals of the breed frequently make their homes around the water. This is usually is to facilitate escapes from predators, though electric types sometimes use this escape method against the breed. Normally content to get most of their food from vegetation and fishing, Vaporitas are able to bring down large mammalian prey, and are a danger to unwary humans. It is interesting to note that feral behavior of the breed is similar despite the differences in appearance.

Threshold into a Vaporita directly is only slightly more uncommon than threshold into an Eva. This process is traumatic, as the thresholder suffers from low body temperatures and often seems to melt as they unconsciously use the Dissolve Technique. It is currently unknown what causes the expression of the mammalian or pseudo-reptilian variants, as both variations have been noted to arise seemingly at random from the same family tree. Threshold Vaporita are typically placed into the industrial setting, most often in the maintenance of the water supply.
