One of the most common bug-type Pokégirls, as well as the more common and popular breeds in the world, the Ladyba are extremely useful amongst all types of Pokégirl owners. From Pet Owners to Breeders, Tamers to Watchers, the Ladyba are perhaps the most widely used Pokégirl outside of the Catgirl and Ingenue in the world. Social, friendly, and intelligent, these demure Pokégirls have a claim to fame that few other Pokégirls can back up. During the war, they were originally used as assistants to the Pokégirl generals, to which they were uniquely suited thanks to their photographic memory and amazing recall of details. After the war, they were highly sought as well- their analytic minds and overall abilities made the breed very popular in ways that remain even in the present day.

In appearance, Ladyba are slim, almost lanky if not for their overall short height of around 5ft. The breed typically has yellow skin (though dark red, brown, and even black have been noted as well) with a thin chitinous coating over it that acts as armor. Black stripes of varying size along the inside of their forearms and calves, and often a coal-colored face with white markings of various patters. White insect-like eyes and antennae that curl around the top of the head complete her over all insect-like appearance. Feral-born Ladyba rarely have hair, while threshold and domestic Ladyba may have hair in just about any color and length. The feral-born Ladyba have a plate of chitin armor over their heads, which is often used by them in a headbutt attack. A pair of wings are hidden underneath the thin shell of chitin armor that protects the Pokégirl’s back. The other main thing that shows a difference between humans and the Ladyba are the two pairs of arms that they have, fully capable of independent movement.

Battles are another area where Ladyba are capable in. Preferring to fly over the heads of their opponent, this gives the Ladyba the speed and ability to spread her various powder and dust attack techniques to disable and humiliate any Pokégirl she faces before darting in with a Takedown or Headbutt technique. When battling members of the harem while training, the breed seems to enjoy using both Bloom and Buttsprout to both flaunt her abilities and get a reaction from her harem sisters. In sex battles, the Ladyba is little different, often using Bloom or Buttsprout to plant her opponent in place and unable to retaliate until after she can pull off a win. In harems, the Ladyba has a light inferiority complex: they don't believe that they are attractive, and often attempt to seduce her tamer or harem sisters. However, when there are at least three other Pokégirls in the harem, the Pokégirl will at least alternate her attentions between her harem sisters and her tamer. This makes them relatively bad choices as an Alpha, but they do make capable Betas instead.

Feral Ladyba can be found just about anywhere the Cutiepie is, as well as deeper in the forests where stronger Pokégirls tend to populate. This is a strange behavior for the Ladyba, and so researchers believe that the breed either loses a lot of their intelligence while feral or that they retain much of it- opinions vary. They are also one of the more common results of threshold cases amongst human girls that have insect types in their ancestry.
