One of the offshoots of Sukebe's genetic templates for various pokégirl breeds he constructed at first was the creation of the Gel Belle, though at the time they were simply called Googals. As perhaps the first of the ghost types that the madman created (research is unclear as to this point of origin), they were used to spread confusion and fear amongst the human armies before the pokégirl forces marched upon the demoralized troops and decimated them. After the war, many were destroyed upon sight by various pokégirl hunter squads, dwindling their numbers until by 70 AS, they were thought to be completely extinct by many researchers and leagues. However, around 150AS a number of these pokégirls were found 'haunting' the ruins of cities and towns that were destroyed by the war. Researchers have discovered that sometimes in such ruins, that the Gel Belle might be found in places of worship, such as temples or churches.

Physically, the pokégirl is somewhat transparent, much like the Glass. Their bodies are typically a light blue in coloration, though with a central nerve system that is a shade or even some other color darker than the 'skin' of the pokégirl itself. The color of their bodies do change, however, as a result of their surroundings to match them when she is not wearing clothing (which most Gel Belles do not). There are two round objects within the pokégirl that can be seen, the centers from which the nerves of the pokégirl extend, which have been found to be where the pokégirl's most vital organs are retained, though exactly how this is fact is still a mystery, despite many autopsies and disections done at the expense of the life of the pokégirl herself. This research was mostly done in anti-pokégirl rights leagues. The oddity of the pokégirl, other than her transparent physical appearance, is the fact that they do not seem to have eyes and yet they claim to be able to see. It appears that her gelatinous nature makes the breed sensitive to light, heat, and sound, the variations of such allowing the breed to approximate distance, appearance, and depth of all her other perceptions. Typically small pokégirls at perhaps five feet tall, there have been those that are actually larger and smaller recorded. Their form is distinctly female, with b-cup sized breasts on average and a slim build when not resting (at which point they look more like a puddle of bluish ooze while asleep).

Something that can annoy some tamers is the way that a Gel Belle's skin, when she's hot, becomes sticky rather than smooth and soft. Gel Belles hate getting too warm, and some have even refused a taming when a fire-type is present. This is often the case when the Gel Belle's tamer is allergic to the slightly more acidic nature of her skin as a result, opting instead to wait until she is cool or until the fire-type is no longer around. Using an Anti-Burn cream or having her 'wear' an Ice Crystal will alleviate this danger, and render the acidic skin to a state where it will not bother tamers. The cream is absorbed harmlessly into the Gel Belle and will remain present in her system for a week on average, usually keeping her skin safe from abbharming her tamer for that length of time. Wearing an Ice Crystal, however, will keep her safe to tame for as long as she's wearing the evolution stone.

In a harem setting, the pokégirl gets along quite well with most pokégirls. However, Dominas dislike the breed because they are so difficult to actually harm and their gelatinous bodies ensure that unless struck directly upon their obvious nerve endings nearest their twin organ spheres, that they may not feel any pain. For that matter, the Gel Belle gets along well with Damsels, often pairing with them when possible and when allowed to. Though not necessarily great at sex battles or standard battles, the breed as a whole is known for using Takedown in a normal battle... a technique known for being quite devastating at times. The Gel Belle's body is quite malleable, and she is capable of elongating limbs at the expense of her body's overall size in order to strike her opponent. Some experienced Gel Belles have even been known to grow more than one pair of arms or even tentacles to overwhelm an opponent her size or smaller during a sex battle. Along with her possibly sticky skin, this unusual pokégirl becomes a unique counter for fairy type pokégirls. Using Phase to easily escape physical harm, and Soul Fists to strike at range before getting close enough to launch her Takedown technique, the Gel Belle also uses Drain to maintain her own energy during any type of pokégirl battle.

Thresholds into this breed are rather rare and almost never documented. Families should be on the lookout for a change of skin coloration, which is gradual, and the thresholding girl's almost continual need to sleep. It is recommended that the resulting Gel Belle (the transformation finishes after about a week or so, and is relatively painless compared to many other pokégirl thresholds) be sent to a ranch, as some threshold cases cannot easily handle the new lack of sensations or her malleable body. Ferals are difficult to handle but often congregate near large number of pokégirls, such as on farms. Though they are not especially intelligent, they are known to drain energy from large numbers of pokégirls rather than kill them, making them a nuisance but not enough to be considered a menace. Tamers are on occassion called to areas that are believed to be haunted in such manners, only to find that a Gel Belle has been preying upon the pokégirls in the area.
