Discovered by accident in 47AS, this evolution of the Growltit was rather fortunate, as the first discovered Huskie was rescued from being lost in the Icemaiden Preserve. The Icemaiden who found the pokegirl happened to be wearing an Ice Crystal pendant which touched the unconscious Growltit, causing the pokegirl's evolution into the first recorded Huskie. Later records show that this breed may have been utilized during the War of Revenge, though in such small numbers that they were undiscovered until well after their discovery. In modern times, the Huskie is used in any cool climate to run deliveries or transport via wagon or sled, as these pokegirls are known for their ability to navigate in many varying conditions, thanks in part to their immunity to snow blindness.

Huskies are fairly strong, tough Pokégirls. They are tall, usually six-feet tall or above, with the lithe muscles of a runner. Bearing the normal range of near human, most Huskies sport full body fur with slight muzzles and digigrade feet. Their fur color ranges, whites, grays, rust, and some black, with white on their stomachs usually. Eye color ranges, but usually leans toward ice blue or golden, with the occasional darker blues and browns. Their ears are triangular in shape, and they have long tails that tend to curl when not being used for balance. Some Huskies lean toward the more human range of appearance, with only tails and ears, though they still retain their immunity to the cold. The breed's bust is usually on the smallish side, running from modest B to C cups, though busty D cups have been noted on the breed.

Like many canine types, Huskies share a strong sense of loyalty to their masters, though this is coupled by a strong sense of justice. They will never willingly work for a wicked Tamer, and because of this Huskies have been undergoing a steady rise in popularity. In addition to their loyalty and honor, these canine pokegirls have a overall friendly demeanor, and many are utilized in the postal service even in warmer climates. They work well in groups, and are well suited to any position within a harem or even in within pet ownership. The breed as a whole is slightly codependent, and dislikes being alone for long stretches of time.

Huskies do well in battle, utilizing their Ice techniques to great effect, though the breed often plays towards defense first before attacking. Unfortunately, the breed looses their fire type attacks upon evolution, trading them instead for a number of Ice techniques. They tend to fare badly against fire attacks, able to use Ice Walls and Ice Armor to block very little of the flames, but have a particular weakness to fighting type techniques.  In sex battles, the breed fares decently, as they have the ability to learn sex attacks, and their naturally low libido keeps them from becoming aroused quickly unless faced with a fire type. While they don't become highly aroused in heat, they do become more sensitive to touch, which is why their libido raises to average during the warmer months. If found in a tropical zone, their libido is essentially Average, though furred Huskies also have the danger of overheating in extremely hot temperatures, since their fur may shed but remains fairly thick, and furred members of the breed only have sweat glands where they naturally do not have fur.

Huskies are very affectionate towards their tamers, and are an Ice type that enjoys cuddling. Many aim to please their masters often adopting their preferences. No salves or other precautions are needed to tame this cold canine, since the breed remains a human level temperature and doesn't have the heat draining effects of some Ice types. They don't have any breed standard likes or dislikes in the taming room and are even one canine breed who don't share a universal like of doggy style.

One of the most famous Huskies belonged to a Tamer named Galford D. Weiler, who was born in the Indigo Continent but received training in ninjutsu in the Edo Continent, where he earned his living. His Huskie's name was Poppy, and she was just as skilled a warrior as Galford himself, Galford viewing her as an equal, a partner, rather than a piece of property. The two confronted many criminals and were responsible for a lot of Team Rocket-style groups in the area being defeated, including the dreaded Team Shogun and their leader, Zankuro Minazuki. Galford and Poppy retired after Team Shogun's defeat and had four children together.

When feral, these canine pokegirls tend to find other canine types to form packs with, though due to their preference in climate, this often means other Huskies and occasionally Lupinas. They are consummate carnivores, but tend to attack from ambush due to their speeds being relatively low. They attack to wound first, then use their enhanced stamina and sense of smell to run their wounded prey to exhaustion. Once the Kattle or prey pokegirl is too tired to fight back effectively, the pack moves in for the kill. Tamers should approach with caution, as there lone Huskies are extremely rare, and it is best to use a Fighting types to counter this pokegirl's duel typing.

Thresholding into a Huskie is very rare, but not unheard of, mainly occurring in areas near the Icemaiden Preserve and other cold climates. Threshold is very fast, with the human girl experiencing rapid and severe flu like symptoms accompanied with hives and body aches as their bodies change almost literally all at once.  Thresholders are split as to this form of thresholding being a good or bad thing, as the threshold is over quickly, but is an intense and unpleasant experience.
