The Polar Lass was once believed to be just a variation of the Ursine, one that was better suited for warfare in the more frozen climates. It wasn't until the discovery of Evolution Stones that the Ice Crystal, when given to the Ursine, was responsible for this evolution. The Polar Lass stays roughly the same as her previous form, with the only major difference being that her fur (or hair for those that are more human in appearance) turns white. An odd factor that bears mentioning is that the skin of the more bestial looking members of the breed turns completely black. Heights and breast size might increase, but they are usually unnoticed.

An interesting turn about from other Ice types is that the Polar Lass is the warmest of any who share the Ice typing. Like the polar bear, the Polar Lass's body is intended to trap heat. The black skin of the girl absorbs heat better, and the white fur acts as a heavy coat against blizzards. While the more human looking members of the breed aren't as warm as their fuzzy sisters, they do manage to stay quite warm with even the modest of clothing. Tamers in more tropical regions are advised to be careful. Those that evolve from the more bestial Ursines tend to do so with fur. And while their fur is shorter, they can still be at risk of over heating.

Far from the stubbornness that the Ursine as a breed seem to share, the Polar Lass seems almost mellow in comparison. While there are some that keep some of their hardheadedness from when they were Ursines, those that are much more relaxed. They can make for excellent Alphas. Supportive and caring of their harem sisters, the Polar Lass will push the members as far as she believes they're able to go. The only time this isn't true is when they're rescuing someone. Because of their abilities, the Polar Lass is a favored girl for those that lead Search and Rescue operations in tundras.

Like the Ursine, the Polar Lass is a slow and deliberate brawler. While they are capable of learning how to use the more ranged based Ice techniques, most of them feel more comfortable using their Icy powers to augment their Fighting techniques. Aurora Punch and Ice Punch seem to be the bread and butter of ferals. Tamers are advised to try hit and run tactics if possible. Wearing her down without allowing her to get in close enough is the safest method, although most Polar Lasses will stop perusing intruders once they're far enough from her territory.

While thresholding into a Polar Lass is still not a common occurrence, girls in the colder climates have a better chance than the rest at becoming a Polar Lass. Threshold is usually marked by severe growing pains as the girl's body grows and puts on more muscle. The ears are probably the most terrifying aspect. The girl's human ears loose their ability to hear as they slowly melt back into her head. Her new ears will form from the top of her head, and it isn't until they are fully formed does the girl regain the ability to hear. Headaches are a common occurrence when the ears start changing. The process usually takes around four to five weeks, with those thresholding into a more bestial form start growing fur within the first few days.
