The Drag King was a very unpopular breed for the first few decades after the Revenge War. Originally created by Sukebe to serve as infiltrators for low-scale operations, the breed has had to greatly expand its niche in order to make it in the post Revenge War world.

The Drag King doesn't differ too greatly in their physical appearance from other Very Near Human breeds, only in how they present themselves if allowed that much freedom. The breed as a whole do not stray far from the Very Near Human norm, with body proportions that can fit a wide range of preferences. They only have 'natural' hair colors for the most part, very rarely will you find a Drag King with more vivid hair colors without the use of dyes. Eye color also remains very close to natural in most cases.

What sets the breed apart, and what makes them unappealing to the average tamer, is their ingrained behaviors. While a Tomboy may have some boyish qualities in her personality, a Drag King has a natural talent for acting the part of a man. They often dress to fit the part as well, creating clothes and applying makeup to hide their feminine features and create the illusion of masculinity. The purpose of the breed was to infiltrate human settlements and collect information after humans started to become justifiably paranoid of strange females entering the community.

Given their original purpose as infiltrators and data collectors, they do have a knack for operating computers and other electronic devices. This knack is nothing remarkable, only that the breed has a keen ability to quickly become familiarized with new operating systems and other programs they've never encountered before. The most profound ability of the breed is in their ability to create costumes. They can magically create costumes, pulling the pieces out of seemingly thin air and assembling the entire disguise around them in a matter of seconds. This change can include wigs, padding, contacts, and a great number of various accessories to change her appearance completely with a flourish. These costumes are only temporary though, and will magically fade within a matter of hours. Still, many Drag Kings from the time of the Revenge War avoided capture because they could readily change their appearance so completely.

After the war Drag Kings were lashed out against by the human populations because of concerns that they'd use their abilities to continue infiltrating human society, become tamers, and then lead their pokegirls in a second war against humanity. Because of this, the breed as a whole has had to adapt. Rather than masquerading as a man, they now are purposely ambiguous as to their nature, and will only come straight when asked directly about it. Although it is toeing the line, this behavior has kept the breed as a whole from being persecuted too harshly by the more conservative leagues. It is not a behavior they can suppress completely, so many have adopted a rather strange sense of humor about it. While disguised as a male, they still often draw the interest of individuals attracted to females, creating an awkward situation for the victim of this attraction. It doesn't help that most Drag Kings will respond by subtly flirting with the person in question rather than reveal themselves. Most are not cruel though and will expose themselves in the end, much to the relief of whoever happened to be attracted to them. Drag Kings also tend to have a love for theater and performance arts. They make excellent stunt doubles for either gender, and also have a natural ability to excel at any 'trouser roles' they'll likely be given. Every so often a Drag King lands a role that will reignite the passions of the breed's fanbase and new blood is indoctrinated as they discover the heart-throb they're infatuated with is actually a pokegirl. Finally, they can still be used as infiltrators, going undercover in small operations provided the risk of being scanned by a pokedex is accounted for.

Drag Kings are generally considered a non-combat breed. They do not learn any combat magic naturally, and few have the capacity to learn enough to surpass the level of a moderately powerful Witch. Their bodily enhancements leave them much weaker than most combat oriented breeds as well.

When it comes to taming, the breed's only true quirk is that they often like to be allowed to be the dominant partner on occasion if their tamer is female. This behavior is typically not present in Drag Kings with a male tamer, but this may be due to the fact that the breed in general isn't popular with the male population.

Like the Tomboy, the Drag King has a feral state that greatly inhibits their survival out in the wild, as higher thought processes become lost to them. Those that have been encountered feral are often in poor physical health.

When it comes to thresholding, a Tomboy is a far more likely result than changing directly into a Drag King. The transformation is only slightly less subtle than those for the other VNH breeds, thanks to the compulsion to mask their gender.
