The Maid Yvette pokegirl breed was originally developed alongside the Nurse Joy and Officer Jenny breeds for public services. But where the Joys were excellent healers and the Jennies were excellent law enforcement, the Yvettes proved a dismal failure at cleaning and maintainance, not able to perform their slated task any more efficiently than any other pokegirl taught to do housework, and their aversion to blood only made them less desireable. Unwilling to give up on the project, some owners trained their Maid Yvettes relentlessly to look harder for stains to clean, to sniff for foul odors, and above all to overcome their squeamishness at blood stains. The training projects eventually paid off as the Yvettes began to evolve into a pokegirl with truly superior cleaning abilities and considerably less aversion to blood... indeed, if her master is in danger, the Guard Maid might even be willing to shed some blood herself.

Guard Maids run the gamut of human norm and are considered Very Near Humans. Hair colors tend towards brown, auburn, and red, but other colors are not unknown. Given the option, they will actively choose maid or servant attire appropriate to the culture of the League they belong to. Some specimens have shortened leg tendons; this has little or no effect on their other abilities beyond the need to wear high-heeled shoes for support.

Guard Maids are fiercely territorial and tend not to get along with other pokegirls unless specifically trained or ordered to do so, making them generally unsuited for Tamers. The natural exceptions to this rule are the other Maid Yvette forms: Guard Maids gossip with one another, coach Maid Yvettes to better themselves, appreciate air support from Angel Maids, and cannot stand Moon Maids under any circumstances, abandoning all duties to bicker and pick fights with one another. Do not try to force this issue with either party.

Guard Maids live up to their name, and after a little basic training will readily use weapons and weapon-based attacks to defend their master, though not quite as effectively as weapon specialist pokegirls can. Time spent scrubbing tough stains has increased their strength beyond human norm, and built a tolerance to cleaner fumes that allows them to resist most poisons. They prefer not to fight unless it is deemed necessary, either by a threat to their master or by their master’s orders. Even in combat situations, a Guard Maid will first try to Dominate and Capture targets rather than kill them outright. They do poorly at sex combat, having a low pleasure threshold and a susceptibility to both hallucinogens and aphrodesiacs.

Taming a Guard Maid is fairly easy. They regard getting Tamed as one of their “services” alongside cleaning and guarding, and will aggressively court their master into Taming them if it is necessary to do so, though they prefer to be submissive in bed. Feral Guard Maids enter a rather trigger-happy state of distraction, percieving almost anything as a threat to their domicile that needs to be subdued immediately.

As with Maid Yvettes, no cases of Threshold are known.
