Created early on in the war, these sculpting serpents were often seen both on and off the battlefield. Off the battlefield gorgons were often teamed up with other construction based girls like the Wurmira and the Ahzi Dahaka. Using their knowledge of sculpting, Gorgons often were sent in behind these pokegirls to finish the finer details of what they were building. In combat, Gorgons were designed to be masters of incapacitating and delaying human troops while more offensive pokegirls got into position. It wasn't until 230 AS when a prominent researcher, a few years after the discovery of the Quetzalcuntl, discovered that a venom stone was a viable evolution catalyst for the Garter, in addition to their, then already known, Naga pre-evolutionary form. Today these pokegirls are often seen in the harems of wandering tamers as well as tradesmen and artisans that require their sculpting abilities.

Upon evolving, gorgons take on a decidedly less human appearance. Regardless of ancestry, all Gorgons have numerous snakes in place of their hair. These snakes, while unable to grow any longer than they already are, can range in lengths from a quarter of a meter long to almost a full meter in length. If cut in battle the head snakes of a gorgon show a remarkable regeneration power not seen in the rest of their bodies, taking as little as one to two week to fully regrow. Having their own eyes, these snakes give the sculpting serpent pokegirl full three-hundred and sixty degree vision. In addition to this, Gorgons have the ability to inject their prey from not only the fangs in their mouths but from the numerous serpents on their head. This change sometimes results in some newly evolved and threshold members of this breed being disappointed at first over the loss of their hair. Studies have shown that the degree of anthropomorphism found in this breed is often related to the individual's ancestry. Those Gorgons that either evolved from a Garter or have heavy ancestry of that breed are generally much more human in appearance, typically having upper bodies and faces similar to that of a human woman and generally lacking the full body scales that are so prominent on other members of this breed. On the other hand, Naga evolved Gorgons typically are much more animalistic, often sporting full or partial muzzles. The snake-like bodies of this breed often range from four and a half to seven and a half meters (15-25 feet) and end in rattles, which are sometimes used as a distraction before a battle begins. These lower bodies start just under their vagina, which, while similar in appearance to that of a human's, is completely forward facing and in the area of a human woman's mons pubis. Beyond that, these Pokegirls can vary wildly in their eye color and breast size. Like most semi human looking pokegirls, these parameters run the gamut of human appearances; though scale and eye colors for this breed can be almost any color in the visible spectrum. Build and skin tone likewise vary within human norms.

Gorgons have and affinity for sculpting. Utilizing their geokinesis abilities, these pokegirls are known by artisans and art buffs around the world for creating some of the greatest post-Sukebe statues across the leagues. Even while traveling with an active tamer, many enjoy practicing their skills, although most often on a smaller scale than professional sculptors, while on the road. Some ingenious tamers have even been known to make a couple of extra credits by selling their gorgon's works of art. While primarily interested in working with stone, some gorgons have been known to use techniques such as ice wall to create the materials with which to create ice sculptures during the winter time.

While most gorgons prefer to spend their time working with stone, these pokegirls make for excellent combat pokegirls in the harems of wandering tamers. In combat, these stoneworker serpents are experts at trapping and incapacitating their foes. While the venom glands of a gorgon are capable of manufacturing most venoms besides hyper venom, these pokegirl prefer using their abilities encase their opponents in either stone or ice. Using stone gaze and temporary crystal prison to capture their enemies alive, these pokegirls will often encase their prey then smash their incapacitated foes only to repeat the process over and over again until their opponents tire. Overall, these Pokegirls often do extremely well against elemental types that they are strong against and poorly against those elements they are weak to.

In a life or death situations, and only when these tactics fail, most will fall back on their most potent and fatal attack, statue gaze. In order to use this ability eye contact has to be made. Only very strong willed pokegirls are capable of resisting this effect. Within 30 seconds to one minute the ethereal beam of energy these pokegirls can radiate from their eyes transforms the gorgon's opponent into solid stone. Any interruption leads to a failure of this technique to be fatal, as the petrification process starts at the feet and works its way up. Due to this, it is possible to interrupt the petrification process allowing the victim to escape alive but partially petrified. The damage done to these affected limbs is permanent, generally requiring amputation and regeneration. The stronger the Gorgon the less time it will take for their attacker to be turned into solid stone. The shortest time recorded has been 20 seconds to reach their opponent's waist and 35 seconds for a fatality. Much to the disappointment of the teams and other criminal elements, most of this breed don't take this move lightly and will only think using it if they or their master are in mortal danger.

Many Gorgons often have a fetish relating to statues, particularly those made of stone. As artistic pokegirls, they often like having the rest of their harem and tamer model for them as they create statuettes, and sex toys in the case of male tamers, for fun. If they are particularly close to their models, they have been known to sometimes be given as gifts to others. Otherwise, their personal creations become part their own private collections. This fetish for statues extends towards their tamers as well. If their tamers are willing, some Gorgons like to use stone gaze on their sexual partners, encasing them in stone, and then using their bodies to satisfy their own needs. Researchers have found that this stone shell is porous enough to prevent their lovers from being suffocated while inside. In addition to their stone fetish, many are also fond of bondage. While some enjoy being tied up, most enjoy immobilizing their sexual partners with either ropes or their own coils during sex. This fetish is theorized by researchers to be tied to their role in battle to subdue and immobilize their prey at all costs. Gorgons tend to greatly enjoy sexual partners that not only allow these fetishes but enjoy them in return. After enjoying themselves with their immobilized partners, many greatly enjoy reciprocating the pleasure they attained by giving their partners whatever sexual favors they want in return. Though they have a particular fondness of rewarding their partners with oral sex which, regardless of the sex of their tamer, is an act most tend to enjoy greatly.

In a harem, most Gorgons get along well with other pokegirls. Personalities vary greatly between individuals of this breed and whether or not they can make a good alpha or beta should be decided on a case to case basis. Due to their lack of enhanced strength in their coils, restraints aren't needed. Despite these common fetishes, the taming habits of these pokegirls vary from one individual but in general most have no inhibitions for taming. Intimacy and physical contact are generally important to the breed and like their pre-evolved forms; they are bisexual with no strong preference for one sex over the other. This allows both male and female tamers to keep them satisfied without much extra work.

Ferals of this breed are somewhat rare. They are often very shy and will try to run away rather than fight. If backed into a corner and unable to run away they will defend themselves with their rock and poison based moves until they can find a way to escape. Because their statue gaze attack requires such will and concentration to use, they are unable to use it while feral. Feral Gorgons usually make their homes in heavily forested and mountainous regions away from humans. Most are solitary creatures that carve out their own territory. Threshold is rare; the first sign of threshold is hissing coming from their hair as their head-snakes develop from small bud like protuberances on their scalps. Within the first week, thresholders are usually terrified as their hair falls out and the human skin on their lower bodies is sloughed off in large sheets. Leaving their bodies covered in fine snake-like scales that had grown in underneath. Within the next couple of weeks their legs begin to fuse together and elongate, leaving them with a fully developed tail in the place of their legs.
