While an Ariu is more of a domestic pokégirl, when she has battled and trained enough, she will go out and search for a hard and solid stone. When she has found one, she will begin an arduous process of infusing it with her energy while she works to carve it into a sharp, tough durable spearhead which is attached to a wooden stick they create themselves. When she has created a spear that is to her liking (which they may decorate with feathers and the furs of other pokégirls) she'll then evolve into a Lairio. With this evolution, the Lairio will cast their old mask aside and begin creating a full face mask that covers her entire face, using the spearhead to carve it. The new mask will be more decorative then the old one, but will still include the symbol of her tribe and/or harem. The spearhead because it's attuned to her energy signature is able to be summoned to her at will.

Physically, the Lairio will keep her natural skin color she had as an Ariu. She'll grow a few inches in height, and her muscles may gain a bit of definition to them. The sclera of her eyes however, are now slightly tinted with a bit of red, not noticeable unless one is actively looking for the redness. Oddly enough, the iris of her eye stays the same color she had as an Ariu. Her height will increase in size by about two to three inches and her breasts may swell up half a cup size. Other than those changes there are no other significant physical changes from an Ariu. The evolution from a Ariu to a Lairio is more of a behavioral change. Whereas the Ariu is a social pokégirl, the Lairio is a bit more withdrawn in her actions, in a harem (when Tamed) or a tribe (Feral). Lairio are a bit more independent then their pre-evolutions, some Lairio even leave their tribes and band together as a splinter group. In these groups there are very few Ariu and usually there is never an Agrii. The reason for this being is that.. though they left the tribe as a group, they are still a part of the tribe and as such have an Agrii leader. With the calmness and withdrawn nature they get with the evolution they become slightly more insightful on the world around them. With this insight, some are capable of seeing sprits and communing with them, an ability which is a genetic marker for thier possible evolutions to a Huntresse or a Shamama.

For a pokégirl with such a calm demeanor naturally one would assume such a pokégirl would be calm in battle situations where stress is high. A calm Lairio during battle is a Lairio who has a clear upper hand in the altercation. However, a battle where the Lairio is even of at an disadvantage to her attacker, her stress level will skyrocket. They suffer from a form of Acute Stress Disorder that instead of them reacting with fear, they become quickly enraged and attack their opponents ruthlessly, pretty much leaving her as a beserker. When in a full rage however, their eyes fill completely with red and glow slightly, making her mask an incidental psychological tool. Luckily enough, a Lairio is still capable of seperating ally from enemy when in a rage, and a Lairio who has battled along side another pokégirl long enough, they are capable of syncronizing their attacks with the other pokégirl. A very well documented case of this frightening ability was recorded by John Clayton himself. Two unidentified Pokégirls (*Classified: A Sanctuary Goth and her Tyrannodame*) had attacked his expedition group, and the group of Lairio who was escorting the group to their village. The group of four Lairio quickly began to attack the larger of the two pokégirls, each of them going into a full on rage. The four pokégirls destroyed the larger of the two pokégirls causing the other pokégirl to flee.

Unsurpsingly enough, this battle rage works into their taming, however this taming rage they go into is not at all similar to how they are when feral. The taming rage can be dangerous to their tamers if the Lairio loses control of her muscles. The taming preferences from when they were Ariu also apply to the Lairio, so a position which keeps her restricted but still allows for rough sex is enjoyed by the Lairio greatly. As far as most researchers know there has been no documented cases of threshold as they are a rather recent discovery and only pockets of them are found in the other leagues with a climate similar to the Dark Continent's.
