One of the most vicious fighters during the Revenge War, even amongst the pokegirl legions that included Demon-Goddess', Neo-Iczels, Sphinx, and Demoness, the Gunvalkyrie was feared on the battlefield... by both sides. Deadly to human and pokegirl alike, they were often the first pokegirls sighted when human armies still employed armored vehicles and slow-flying aerial combat machines. Unfortunately for the humans, the Gunvalkyrie was an excellent creation when it came to fighting larger targets, and they were even used to devastate human cities and towns, toppling skyscrapers and destroying anything in her path. However, the breed was also known for being loose cannons, often leading the advance of her pokegirl forces so much that they would overexert the pokegirls' line of support in her charge. This often left the Gunvalkyrie at the mercy of human snipers, who quickly learned to aim for the heads of the pokegirls at the beginning of the war. Though it might take many shots, a concerted effort by several snipers lying in wait often resulted in a dead body. By the end of it, the Gunvalkyrie numbers had dwindled to less than a hundred world-wide, according to data retrieved from Sukebe's base.

Physically, the breed is typically around 6ft tall, and rarely any taller. Although ferals often have skin color that is a dull matte in color, those that are domestic-born often have their own much more human-like skin coloration. Most of the Gunvalkyrie have black hair, but domestics can have a range of color that is the same as the human norm. One thing that no Gunvalkyrie have is hair below her shoulders- even the hair that grows from the top of her head does not reach any further than the pokegirl's shoulders. Though the true reasoning for this is unknown, researchers suggest that this is a part of the pokegirl's genetic make-up to make certain that hair does not obscure her eyesight when in the midst of battle. The Gunvalkyrie are often curvaceous and have a full form, but anyone that has one has noted that they do not radiate heat, and tend to feel as if they are the ambient temperature of the air around them. This can be a good thing, but many tamers have been surprised when attempting to tame her during wintry times.

These pokegirls have two forms- the first is a 'civilian' form, as they call it, where they fore go wearing armor that they are known for. The second form is their 'combat' form, which is when they summon a suit of armor to cover them completely, head to toe, often leaving only a visor that they wear over their eyes to shield their vision and to protect their eyes from bright flashes and gunfire. The armor everywhere is rather heavy, but is weaker on the head, which is confirmed as something as a weakspot for the breed, though of course the head of any pokegirl is most commonly considered a weakspot anyway. Their armor utilizes active camouflaging systems, which allows them to take on the color of their surroundings, but only as a pale imitation and it is a very slow process. Though more or less effective in an urban environment, it does little good for the pokegirl in a wilderness setting. What disturbed even more humans during the war, however, was the way that the armor absorbed radar waves, which made it very difficult to locate one unless there was a number of radar systems in the area to triangulate her position. After the war, use of radar waned, and this particular ability is now merely a footnote. The overall appearance of the armor, however, is the way that one can truly differentiate between the different Gunvalkyrie, as the style of the armor differs between each individual. Commonly, the armor reflects the stylings of the area in which they live or have been raised in. The armor does make the Gunvalkyrie somewhat slow, but does not impede her ground speed very much. These pokegirls prefer to remain in their combat form while training, which makes certain that they are used to the weight of their armor. Pokekits cannot summon their armor until they become pokegirls after their first puberty. All Gunvalkyries, while in their combat form, have an internal mass converter, which takes the food that the pokegirl digests and transforms it into energy for her body and for her various energy weapon techniques. These pokegirls like to be armed with a firearm at all times and can also be found carrying weapons that are not a part of her standard weapon systems, to conserve on her own energy usage.

In battle, Gunvalkyrie prefer to fight from ranges that her opponents cannot match. Their excellent vision even while in their civilian form make them excellent scouts and they are very good judges of distance (typically able to correctly calculate ranges to within an eight of an inch on average). They have excellent reaction speed and can switch from opponent to opponent quickly, but their overall speed does not impress. In their armored form, the pokegirl's armor has various ports that can appear at whim, typically along the pokegirl's back, shoulders, legs and feet, which house a self-controlled and contained personal anti-grav system, which allows them to hover in place up to thirty feet into the air (10 meters on average) and to move while in flight at up to a speed equaling that to the pokegirl's normal running speed on the ground. While in their combat form, the Gunvalkyrie breed typically has access to four weapons systems for use. However, only one can be accessed at any given time, save for when the pokegirl uses a technique that was dubbed "Overkill" during the Revenge War, and the name stuck with the breed ever since when describing/naming the technique. Though the weapons systems can vary, commonly found are dual, tri-, or quad-barreled blasters along the pokegirl's forearms may be extended from the housing within that section of her armor. They rest parallel to and along the length of the arm, and fire bolts of plasma fed by the pokegirl's combat form's internal reactor in single shots or short bursts (of up to six bolts per barrel). The rate of fire for these blasters do vary with the pokegirl's experience and number of barrels. The second system is a sniper weapon, often another summoned energy weapon that can be held in both hands with a scope that is summoned along with it upon the visor of the pokegirl's helmet that tracks with the barrel of the sniper weapon. Some Gunvalkyrie utilize a sniper cannon- a longer ranged, slightly less accurate version of the rifle-like weapon mentioned previously, which is summoned to mount upon her shoulder (which also varies with which hand the pokegirl may favor). The third weapon system is a pair of heavy artillery cannons that launches a powerful plasma blast up to a maximum range of half a mile, and affects a 10ft (3 meter) diameter from where it strikes with searing heat and explosive damage that affects anyone and anything hit by it. Although once thought to be an indirect weapon, it has been discovered that the breed can fire it off while aiming, which many tamers prefer to have them do when they can. The last weapon system is an energy blade that can be emitted from either the forearm, parallel and just above the pokegirl's hands, or from the pokegirl's palms directly. These blades have a length of merely two or three feet (less than a meter, typically), and are the pokegirl's last ditch defense against close combat.

Despite all of her abilities at long range, the Gunvalkyrie has two major weaknesses. Sex battles are one- for all their vaunted firepower and amazing eyesight, their combat form is illegal in any battle contended within a sex battle tournament. Though this is a setback, this is as nothing compared to the second weakness. Due to the weight of their armor and their lack of speed, Gunvalkyrie are notoriously horrid close combat pokegirls when they are in their combat forms. Some tamers have reportedly attempted training their Gunvalkyrie to try battling in their civilian form, though results are mixed at best. Many have attempted to train in martial arts or how to use their energy blades to fend off opponents in close quarters, which leads to greater success for the breed in general.

Within a harem, the Gunvalkyrie is not an outstanding member. Often, they are quiet, stoic individual who enjoy pokegirl battles and training more than anything, though they often do trade 'war' stories from time to time with others of the harem. They do not take well to being dominated, instead prefering to give respect to her harem sisters whom she battles with. On average, they do not do well in positions of leadership, though this does vary per individual. As a result of seeing others in the harem as their equals during a battle, she gets along well with her battle companions, while remaining cordial at best to those untested. With those who attempt to exert dominance over her, other than the tamer she is bonded to, they react badly, which can result in fatal injuries at worst. Tamings go the same way- though members of the breed normally understand that Tamers cannot be her battle companion, the orders given to her can be telling enough to allow her to extend to her tamer that respect. Until that, or an alpha bond, is established, taming a Gunvalkyrie can be a hazardous and potentially fatal act.

Feral Gunvalkyrie are quite dangerous, and when found are often blasting just about anything that moves within her visual vicinity. A Gunvalkyrie typically has enough power for a good 45 minutes, sometimes an hour, for using her combat form, and that is most often what feral Gunvalkyrie are found in. Exhausting a Gunvalkyrie (feral or otherwise) is a sound tactic that leaves the pokegirl in her civilian form and unable to utilize her numerous energy weapon systems, which merely makes her as dangerous as any other feral may be. Thresholds are very rare and are very painful for the girl as she transforms over the course of a week.

NOTE: Even more rare than the standard Gunvalkyrie is the kind that evolves from the Guntit via the Bird E-Medal. The main differences to this type of Gunvalkyrie is the fact that along with their armor, they can summon armored wings and have access to only three of the four weapon systems as described above (the exact ones vary per individual, however). These wings also provided the Gunvalkyrie the ability to fly via the additional Anti-Grav thrusters found within, and can be used to create Steel-type varieties of what are typically Flying-type techniques. A Pokedex will not pick up the differences until after the Gunvalkyrie's wings are deployed, however. Some of this breed, upon evolution, may find that their armor gains subtle aerodynamic changes as a result. This flying variety of the Gunvalkyrie may also be obtained by using a Bird E-medal on a normal Gunvalkyrie. Threshold cases of this version of the Gunvalkyrie have never been recorded and is considered to be impossible due to the e-medal required for the evolution to occur in the first place..
