The Vespae are the newest, and only unique, creation of Colonial Science. After extensive study in their efforts with the Vanguardia and Vanguardia B-type, as well as studying the data from the pokegirls captured during the war especially the Veno-Miss, the Colonists were sure they could produce a new pokegirl that was unrelated to any others in their possession, and could fill a necessary gap in their manpower particularly in the area of construction and manufacturing. Taking data from the Veno-Miss in their ranks, and combining it with data from several types of 'building' insects focusing mainly on the Mason Wasp, their efforts created the Vespae.

Standing roughly 6ft in height, the Vespae wouldn't be mistaken for a human in any light. Her body is humanoid in shape possessing a midrange B cup, but she also possesses some distinguishing characteristics. Firstly is the advanced compound eye design, which is slightly larger than the average human eye and generally either red, yellow or a copper-green in colour. Her body is covered in light, flexible armour usually black and yellow in color with varying patterns for each individual, that protects her biological body from the rigours of construction and space, but can be dismissed when not working or for taming. Her hands and fingers are very slender, the tips of the fingers being changeable at will between the normal blunt fingertips for general use, or a fine cutting tips for cutting materials on the job site, or for any of her melee attacks. She possess a full head of hair, which is normally kept short for safety reasons, which comes in a range of colours from black, to copper, yellow/gold or even a silver/white. She even has a pair of short antennae on her head, allowing her to communicate seamlessly with over Vespae allowing a group of them to operate in unison to maximize the work placed into a project. Located just at the top of the forehead, these antennae can be folded back into the hair of the Vespae making it invisible to the casual observer. On an interesting side note, there is a degree of sensitivity to the Antennae, though it tends to vary greatly between Vespae. The other detail of note for the Vespae is the pack attached to her back, complete with a suitcase sized pod attached to the bottom of it allowing the pod to be lifted up against the pack or to hang below the back. The need for this articulation stems from the fact that the pack itself contains a set of thrusters 'wings' somewhat reminiscent of insect wings save for thrusters located long the trailing edge to provide flight/thrust rather than the movement of normal insect wings. The pod itself it modular and, along with the pack, be removed for comfort. Inside the pod are a variety of tools for whatever the current job is and in some cases includes extra limbs for lifting or using tools like a welding torch. One pilot program actually has the pod fitted for medical and emergency equipment, allowing the Vespae to operate as a medic in the field or in hospitals. Scientists and the Colonial Council are currently studying other such applications such as firefighting and farming.

Vespae are, by nature, not very strong fighters. The entire effort of the breed is directed towards construction and manufacture, and as such combat is not common practiced for the breed. Of note that is that most of her attacks are adaptations of abilities used to aid in construction, though it takes a little more time to learn them as effective attacks. As such, they tend to use their speed and agility to move them in and out of combat quickly utilizing pass-by attacks. They are far more deadly in swarms where they can communicate with their sisters for mass assaults against their opponents.

Individually the Vespae is extreme intelligent, her near perfect memory and ability to memorize and apply information puts her on a genius level and with their data sharing capability any new skills or information is quickly disseminated throughout the work force, in addition to their Advanced Multitasking, allows them to work on one project managing their own bodies and any additional limbs from their pod, and consult on several others over the link. They have a tendency to be highly analytical, placing emotions aside to concentrate on factual information but despite this trait, they lack any sort of tactical, strategic or leadership sense for a reason that escapes most scientists. When assigned to a particular foremen through, they adapt to his personality and sometimes this includes becoming more expressive in their emotions on a individual level, some being able to adapt this way easier than others. But an interesting note is that this 'emotional information' cannot be shared over the link, preventing other Vespae from learning from their sisters on how to deal with emotions. Taming is pretty mundane when it comes to Vespae, with their packs being removable, they can assume any position they desire and most preferences are personal rather than breed based. Their feral state is surprisingly light, mostly defined by a sense of absentmindedness and being easily distracted by multitasking.
