It's no odd thing when someone views an avian pokégirl near the water. It is slightly more odd, however, to see an avian pokégirl without feathers, of which there are only two known... and one is a legendary. The Asprey is the second, and far more common pokégirl. Unlike the Divette, another water-specialty avian that utilized their speed both above and below water to attack the human navies, this breed was instead utilized to guard Sukebe's holdings on sea ports and nearby oceans. Though the Asprey's also found use in the front lines, the pokégirl's relatively slow flying speed compared to Sukebe's other flying types made her only a mediocre warrior against the human projectile weapons during the war. After the war, the Asprey were hunted and scattered away from the ports of the world, forcing the pokégirls to roost further away from what remained of human civilization along the coastlines of the world. While many other pokégirls were hunted and their numbers dwindled, the Asprey oddly managed to increase in number and avoid being caught or detected by most of the first generations of tamers.

A Feral Asprey, though not especially intelligent, is still quite perceptive. Their shrill cries, reminiscent of those of the Osprey from pre-Sukebe days, are shouted out as a warning to the others of her flock, allowing them to scatter when a predator or human gets too near. It is unknown if this is from their incredible eyesight, or if it is a result of the Asprey's inherent psychic abilities. Most researchers believe it is a mix of both that allows the Asprey to avoid capture by humans, although they are not truly smart enough to detect a trap set to capture them while feral. Often, this breed may be found near cliffs that look over the ocean, protected by their own personally built shelters, often made of rock, tree branches, and any other basic and somewhat loose material they can find. This makes the Asprey one of the few pokégirls known to fully construct their own shelters, rather than simply build a nest or take over an abandoned house (though some Asprey have been known to do these things as well).

As stated above, the Asprey are without feathers anywhere on their body. Instead, the breed has skin that is smooth and perfect for swimming in, which is often a shade of light gray to a bright silver (Asprey of this color are highly prized, often as pets) in coloration. Their arms end in large wings, the ends of which are simply flaps of skin that are used as flippers underwater, give the pokégirl the appearance of having large, wide fingers at the end of the wings. These actually are fingers, with an opposable thumb along the front edge of the large wings, which are each as long as the pokégirl is tall. Each of these 'fingers' are typically of a darker shade than their skin, but the most common color is a deep purple. When flying or swimming, the thumb rests against the flesh of the wing while the fingers are used to assist in controlling the pokégirl's speed, propelling her faster or slower as she wishes. This breed's feet are like a human's, with five total front toes that are clawed, though there is a rear clawed toe on each foot that allows the pokégirl to grip onto whatever surface she needs to. The truly odd thing is the pokégirl's large tail, equal in size to one of her legs and tapering off to a thin tip at the end of it from where it emerges from just above the pokégirl's posterior. Along the Asprey's back and tail, in three pairs each, are little projections of flesh no more than five inches in length and perhaps half that in width, which can fold up and down against the pokégirl's back. These odd projections are most often the same color as the pokégirl's 'fingers'. Research has shown that this is what allows the Asprey such agility with their bodies even while flying at high speeds, able to brake up to 40% faster than most other pokégirls. These pokégirls typically stand at up to six feet in height at the most (average height being about five and a half feet tall) and rarely do they have breasts larger than a slight B-cup in size without modifications such as bloom powder.

In a harem setting, an Asprey often stands guard for her tamer and harem sisters, her eyes and psychic senses attuned to the slightest bit of movement within the immediate vicinity. Though this may be appreciated by some, her innate attention to detail makes her a pain for others to deal with. Many of this breed are considered perfectionists, insisting on their tamer and the harem bettering themselves and becoming more efficient with their movements so as not to waste their energy in meaningless ways. The Asprey are otherwise considered useful as an Alpha or Beta, but are most often passed up due to their issues when it comes to the details on just about anything. The breed do seem to enjoy being in a position of some sort of authority and most do strive to become their tamer's Alpha, often exploiting any weakness that the current Alpha or Beta may exhibit in order to gain what they believe to be the most efficient position within the harem. During a taming, the Asprey prefer to let the tamer do as he or she wishes and reciprocate, willing to go along with just about any gender or pokégirl in a session... but dislike foreplay as a whole. Some individuals do appreciate it as an art, however, and may willingly agree to foreplay, though these particular Asprey seem to be in the minority.

In a battle, Asprey are conservative battlers, willing to wait and counter attack when the time is right. Using Agility at the beginning of the battle to assist with her evasion of incoming attacks and following up with Fade to further confuse her opponent, these pokégirls are known for utilizing both Feel the Burn and Draining Rain to weaken the target's defenses before launching Water Spears to finish them off. Ferals oddly seem to follow the same attack pattern, an unusual thing amongst feral pokégirls of any kind throughout the world. Rarely do the Asprey bother using their Psychic technique, and no Ferals have ever been noted as utilizing it, suggesting that perhaps it is only that one technique that the breed cannot use while in a feral state.
