It is unknown just what the design was initially meant for, when the existence of this breed came to light. They were rarely seen in battle, though a few records mention that some had been spotted in the air at a safe distance from human armies, roughly a day before a battle took place. From the few records of their involvement in battle, they also seemed to be susceptible to human weaponry of many calibres, not just those of the more powerful ilk. After the war, the Keinaris (as captured documents mention the breed being called) were difficult to find for two reasons in particular, one being that the breed was never produced in great numbers. The other reason being that most individuals of the breed simply did not want to be found for fear of death upon being captured. Eventually, the breed became more popular as humankind rebuilt societies throughout the world, and the breed's qualities became more well known. In modern times, it is somewhat common to find a Keinaris in a part of a band or an actress in various shows produced these days, or even as music teachers.

Physically, the breed stands between 4.5 to 6.5ft (1.37-1.98m) tall, from head to claw. It should be mentioned that the neck of a Keinaris typically a fair amount longer than any equivalent pokegirl's, or humans. Most have a slender neck that is longer than the height of their head (but rarely ever approaching .3meters in length) Their wingspan tend to reach between two and a half and three times their height in total width (so roughly 11.25-19.5ft, or 3.45-5.93m), but can be tucked tightly behind their bodies to only extend behind themselves to a quarter of such width. The wings themselves are reminiscent of those that the Swanmaid possess, but are not metamorphic. This can make maneuvering in enclosed areas difficult for the Keinaris, and claustrophobia has been noted in some individuals of the breed. Another detail about the wing that may be of interest is the location of where the wings connect to the pokegirl's back. Instead of connecting near the shoulder blades, the wings of the Keinaris breed attach near the spine along the pokegirl's mid-to-lower back. This leaves the breed's human arms completely unrestricted in movement as a result, even while in flight. Finally, Keinaris appear to stop aging and retain a youthful appearance after a certain point, leaving their overall human-like physical appearance roughly equivalent to a late-teens human girl.

Though the breed's body structure is generally similar to that of a human's, the Keinaris is still a bit different overall. Not counting the length of the neck, which has already been mentioned, their skeletal structure is roughly half the weight as humans and pokegirls of similar build. This feature appears to be rather common among the pokegirls that are based off avians, or at least those that can fly in general. Tamers must be wary of this fact- a powerful enough physical strike from a far heavier opponent can leave a Keinaris injured rather easily. It is assumed to be the main reason why the breed was susceptible to human weapons during the war as well. Moving on, their lower legs from the knees down are feather-covered and end in five-toes, though with only four to the front and a fifth behind, giving the breed a unique 'footprint' overall. This also provides them a good grip upon what they which to clutch onto (such as a branch, fence, or a pole). Their feathered features include their wings, an array of tail feathers that is commonly sorted by size and shape by those that keep the breed as pets or for display purposes on ranches, and their outer thighs down to their knees.

The pokegirl's skin color as well as feather coloration is typically the same, however, while the brightness and luster of their feathers oft depend upon the temperature of their surroundings. In higher temperatures, their feathers almost appear to glow during the day, and in lower temperatures, such luster fades. And in Summer, their feathers can even glow softly at night. This even happens after molting, so old feathers are often used to create nightlights during summertime, or even as decorations at night-time parties. Commonly, their skin and feathers vary in the bronze or crimson hues, though their hair is commonly more human-like in coloration, with black or blonde being most prevalent. Some have markings upon their body that are a different color, sometimes black, white, or golden-brown, with the most common being a shape that covers the pokegirl's chest, such as a circle, oval, or heart-shaped. Such features are not limited to only the chest region however, and many are symmetrically found on legs, arms, and even the neck. Redheads, oddly enough, are unknown for this breed. Their eyes are most commonly golden in color, but red, amber, and purple are also documented as well.

It should be noted that the breed was not genetically designed especially for combat, so tamers looking for their next powerhouse pokegirl that can fly would be wise to consider finding a more combat-oriented pokegirl instead. Their lack of combat finess, along with the breed's high libido, can make the breed difficult to incorporate into a harem as well, and as such are more commonly found with pet owners and humans in other occupations. That said, there have been individuals that have been noted to be excellent Alphas of a harem. This is due to the synergy that the pokegirl can create, both for herself and for her harem sisters, that comes as a result of her intelligence, her flying ability, and the techniques that the breed is capable of learning. Though not as specialized as the Diva or the Bardess, the Keinaris are nonetheless capable of utilizing songs, instruments, and dances to support herself and others during a battle. While utilizing her song techniques, like Duet or Symphony, the pokegirl often has trouble keeping them going when stuck in a one-on-one confrontation. Allowing the song to continue in this fashion, a Keinaris' typical strategy for one-on-one battles is to simply strike from afar and not get close enough to be struck in return, until it is safe to do so. The breed's above-average intelligence allows for the breed to determine a course of action faster than the average pokegirl can, which makes such tactics viable with are higher degree of success than one may think.

However, getting a Keinaris to take responsibility as an Alpha can be a chore in and of itself. The breed is fairly asocial, save around those they are familiar with, which makes them difficult to work with at times. With a preference for balance in all things, a Keinaris often tries to keep herself occupied with various exercises of the mind and body, as well as meditation to feel at peace with herself and others close to her. Singing, dancing, and music in general are ideal ice-breakers (and typically rouse the breed from meditation with the greatest of ease), and this does include conversations that involve such topics as well. Most show interest in certain stringed instruments, such as harps, lyres, and guitars, while few show any interest in percussion instruments. It is uncertain why this is, and there are no known studies ever done to discover why this bias exists. Tamers and pet owners have noticed that jam sessions can be expected when a Keinaris with an instrument, along with others with an interest in music, get together at an opportune time. And when an instrument is not available, a Keinaris is just as likely to start dancing as well. The breed seems to get along with most other pokegirls, although many are wary when around serpent or snake-based pokegirls.

Taming a Keinaris is a relatively simple affair, though most of the breed have a quirk of referring to a 'taming' as 'mithuna.' Interestingly, the history behind that particular word is as good a explanation as any for how taming actually works, according to the breed, though researchers tend to denounce such remarks and continue to try and determine a more scientific reasoning for it on their own. This is not the only oddity, as the breed also seems to have a natural knowledge of old religion such as yoga and tantra, which often makes the breed rather popular among those that adhere to those practices. Many also are goal-oriented, commonly going along with their tamer's wishes and decisions to better the pokegirl, and as a result are perhaps one of the easiest pokegirls to train or educate. They take to learning new languages rather quickly as well, and can sometimes be seen in various league official's harem as a translator for their tamer/owner. To the breed's credit, as documented Fire-types, the Keinaris do not require any aids to allow a tamer to handle them. And although this is not a breed-wide detail, the neck is often a very sensitive spot for a Keinaris, and not solely by pleasant actions. They are also a frequent target by pokegirls looking to degrade a Keinaris... or to hurt them. The breed is also adverse to harm during taming just for the sake of causing harm, and will respond to defend themselves when possible. This fact often leads to the Keinaris being at odds with any sadistic individuals.

Feral Keinaris are difficult to find in the wild. However, around urban areas, they are somewhat easier to discover. They often sing while bathing or flying in the air, usually a song that has the effect of keeping possible predators at bay, and sleep near human settlements in order to remain relatively safe at night. When their territory is being encroached upon, whether by humans or other ferals, the breed has been known to mimic human sounds and voices, which can often lead a predator or tamer astray long enough for the pokegirl to escape. Though typically a solitary breed when feral, those that live away from civilized areas form flocks with other feral avian breeds such as Harpies, Racks, and Hooters for safety in numbers. Most Keinaris build simple traps to keep themselves safe at night, from humans and other pokegirls, and will usually try to escape rather than defend themselves when possible.

Threshold cases typically take up to two weeks to grow their wings, though the transformation of the feet into claws are the first to fully manifest within several days. It is a painful process, but not exceptionally so, and the growing of feathers upon their legs is a simple affair. The wings, on the other hand, grow so quickly at times that medication is sometimes recommended by certain researchers. However, medication taken during the thresholding period often stunts the growth of wings and tail feathers, which are the last to emerge from above the backside of the soon-to-be pokegirl. Those that evolve from a Nymph rarely seem to change much in personality, though they do often retain many of the physical features that they once possessed. The Keinaris that evolve from Maid Yvettes (a rather odd evolution to say the least, it is assumed the Yvette breed was designed by using some Nymph genetics and this potential evolution was discovered long after such information could be readily confirmed) gain a sense of awareness like any other pokegirl does, and will respond to an actual name, much as most other pokegirls and any human would. The first Maid Yvette discovered in this fashion was evolved on an airship flight- subsequent testing, however, proved that that was not a requirement for the evolution.
