Perhaps the oddest of the odd in the Chichi line is the Sapphron, as not only does this pokegirl change her rodent species when evolved, she also becomes a ground type with the uncommon Leaf Stone. It seems that the line reacts to the uncommon stones, making some researchers speculate that these were the first stones produced by Sukebe, though it is still unknown how he produced them. Regardless, this ground type pokegirl is evolved from a stone commonly seen to evolve plants, giving the earthy prairie dog pokegirl the status of strangest Chichi evolution.

Ranging in height from four to six feet, Sapphrons are a highly variable breed. Not only do they have the normal range of close to human ears and tail or close to not very near human anthromorphic features, their bust size and even their body mass varies greatly. Cup sizes range all the way from a very small A cup into busty D cups and breast size has not been conclusively proven to be linked to body mass size. These prairie dog pokegirls vary from slender and well muscled, to rubenesque that may or may not be more muscled than their slender counterparts, and everything in between. The breed's hair ranges from sandy blonds to dark brown and tends to side with earthen tones, as well as eye colors ranging from browns to greens. These earthy rodents are about evenly distributed between human looking and animalistic members, with the more animalistic of the breed usualy being feral born. Small rounded ears are a breed constant, and at times, due to the hair of the breed, the ears look non-existant. They have short tails, usually ranging in length from one to two feet, most often brown and somewhat laterally bushy, with the occasional black tip. Furred members of the breed have very slight muzzles, and body fur that ranges from dark to light brown with the occasional mottling.

Sapphrons are hardworking pokegirls, almost as busy as Beavers, though they know how to relax, and the two breeds projects usually run in two different directions, one mining and the other building dams. The breed as a whole have trouble swimming, since their ground type natures are at odds with the water, and prairie dog pokegirls have almost a feline dislike of being wet. They do take their hygeine seriously, though, but most insist on using cleaning cycles through their pokeballs, but if pressed they take showers or baths. This dislike of the water is less prevailant in non-furred members of the breed, but a rare few of all members of the breed suffer from aquaphobia (a fear of water).

This rodent breed takes readily to combat training, and quickly become skilled in pokebattles. Many tamers assume that the breed is weak, but the Sapphron breed overall make decent combatants and are dedicated to improving themselves. They tend to use dig for an odd hit and run manuver, called Prairie Dogging, where they dive into the ground and come out at another vantage point to strike their opponent. This tactic works well until this ground pokegirl faces types her element is weak to, or obviously powerful pokegirls. Overall, the breed is found in harems as much as in mines, making them a fairly well known pokegirl so this tactic is sometimes planned for.

Despite being a ground type, Sapphron are not hard bodied pokegirls, and need no softening techniques in order to be tamed. Their preferences are highly variable, with no real set pattern besides a slight leaning towards group sessions and that they are the most bisexual of all the Chichi evolutions, with a preference for female partners. This favoring for more than one partner at a time is speculated to be due to the breed's natural gregariousness, which is more prevaliant in feralborn members. Like many pokegirls, these rodent types tend to take on the preferences of their tamers, making them fit easily into a harem setting.

Feral Sapphron make their homes in dry areas, usually in plains were grasses are abundant. They form colonies of multiple individuals, usually lead by a single female and ranging in number from around 5 to 25 Sapphrons. These pokegirls are generally non-invasive and not very threatening, but can move into areas of human habitation and cause trouble with their tunnels and damage to grain crops. Water types are able to run them off easily, and 'Drowning the Sapphron' is a popular expression in some areas about getting rid of unwanted pests.

When human girls happen to threshold into Sapphron, it's usually quite a surprise. Not that threshold into this breed is unheard of, but it is rare enough that there needs to be a good mixture of rodent pokegirl and ground types in the family history of the thresholder. Most often, this happens to girls in the mining industry, where Sapphrons and other ground type pokegirls are frequently used. Most often, this is where the thresholder winds up, being owned by a miner rather than a tamer.
