(July 6th, 296 AS, 1025, Violet City pokécenter)

Geno sat in his room at the pokécenter, enjoying the moment of quiet, the room a complete bastion of lacking in activity, even the lights off. He tested his injured leg, now healed enough that he could fight on it if he wanted too, before slowly standing. Stripping off his shirt, he tossed it on the nearby table, and then hit the lights, bringing them up to dim, enough to see what he was doing. As he began to do his cool down stretches, he reflected on his day so far, muscle memory guiding him through his exercises. Beating Troopa to a pulp had been fun, but his gut was screaming at him that something was still wrong.

Shaking his head, he tried to banish the feeling, and continued his stretches, unaware of the drama unfolding in the city. He finished the stretching exercises a bit more than an hour later, pleased that his injured leg had held steady throughout the careful movements, and at the fact that his body was getting a little more flexible each day. Still smiling, he shook himself as he reached for his shirt, noting that he was still sweating even though he had taken care not to move to quickly through the cool down, and then remembered that he had held the poses longer than he normally did.

He headed to the attached bathroom, intent on taking a quick shower. That done, he stepped out of the shower, and noted that it was nearly eleven hundred. Snorting at how long he had taken to get clean, he dressed quickly, and pulled out the mana crystal. He shifted the pink stone around in his hands, before setting it down on the table. He grinned as the crystal began to glow red, sensing the magic type pokégirl inside the pokéball in his other hand. He activated the pokéball, letting Mayuan appear next to him. She looked about, and then melded herself to him, her hands gliding across his back and her lips almost desperately sealed against his own. She ground her overly-luscious body against his own for a moment, before leaning back enough to break the kiss. She smiled demurely at him, before kissing his neck once. “I am so glad to finally get some quality alone time with you master. It has been too long since the last time we were alone.”

She stepped back from him, her hands running through her hair, before she began to strip off her leather bodice and skirt combination, putting on a show for him. She had barely gotten her shoulder straps off before he grabbed her hands, stopping her for a moment. “First off, we had some alone time four days ago. In the forest, at that lovely clearing with the stream running through it. A taming, a bath, another taming in the river with a second bath, and then a third one against a nearby tree. Second, I have a gift before we tame again, a gift I think you will like.”

She looked at him, pouting at not being able tease her tamer, and now curious as to what was so important that he did not want to tame. He let go of her arms, and stepped toward the table. Mayuan held her bodice up, barely covering her nipples, and smiled as Geno watched her breasts softly bounce as she walked toward him. She slipped the bodice off completely, and then snuggled against her tamer and lover. She laughed softly as she felt his body react to hers, and gently stroked his rapidly hardening cock, before seeing the mana crystal on the table. She froze, and then looked at Geno, before turning back to him, her eyes uncertain and hopeful. She stepped back as he nodded and removed her everstone necklace, and let him watch her slowly remove her leather skirt and panties. Done undressing, she knelt before him, and bowed her head, a slight smile gracing her lips as she spoke. “At your leisure master, I am yours to command.”

She bowed her head slightly, knowing her master well enough to know he would not understand what she meant. And when he simply nodded before grabbing the mana crystal, she had to fight off her grin. She loved her master with all her being, but he was so dense sometimes…

Geno looked at Mayuan as he turned back to his suddenly submissive harem member, wondering what she was planning. She was never that willing to submit, preferring to make him ‘work’ for that pleasure. Pushing the thought out his mind, he reached down with one hand, and gently lifted her chin, before pressing the evolution stone against her chest, over her heart. He smiled at her as the stone began to glow, resisting the urge to say something. He watched the stone suddenly merge into Mayuan, who began glowing herself.

He knew that she would be much more of an attention hog with her evolution into an Enchantress, but hopefully the improvement to her support abilities would be more than enough to compensate for her changes. His thoughts stopped as Mayuan finished glowing and he grinned at her, knowing her immediately. She was the exact same as she had been before the evolution, something that she seemed to find disappointing as she looked herself over. Geno laughed, and picked up Mayuan before kissing her on her cheek, and carrying her to the bed. He set her down on the bed, and then began to explore her ‘new’ form with his lips, grinning as she gasped in pleasure after the first kiss, her body trembling. This will be fun, she is as sensitive as the pokédex claimed.

He continued to explore Mayuan with his mouth, enjoying the coos and moans of pleasure she made as she discovered how delightfully sensitive her body was. His lightest touch had her shivering in pleasure, and he had yet to do more than kiss her neck and rub her sides. This is going to be far too easy now. I wonder if she can dull her sense of touch, let us play longer. I did not expect her to be this vulnerable to touch, which means it was probably right about pain as we…

Both of them looked up at the sound of someone pounding on the door. Mayuan immediately wrapped her arms and legs around him, her beautiful face in a snarl of fury at the interruption. He pried his way free of his harem member, finding he had somehow removed his shirt at some point, but had no recollection of removing it. He arrived at the door, grinning at the sound of Mayuan pulling the covers over her body, and opened the door to find the Nurse Joy from the center standing on the other side. He allowed his irritation to show as he looked at the time. 1135, wonder why I am being bothered now. “Look, I am a little… distracted at the moment. Can this wait…”

His irritation deepened as she interrupted him. “I am sorry, but you have a call from a Hunter and he says it is important. You need to take the call now.”

She turned and ran off, as he shut the door, irritation now warring with curiosity. What the hell does a Hunter want with me now? I hope it is not about that crap that happened in Cherry Grove Town; that would not be worth a social call.

A glance at that computer in the room showed that there was, in fact, a call holding for him. Mayuan glanced at the computer, before allowing the sheet to fall a bit, revealing her ebony curves but nothing that would not be considered immodest by any but the most prudish. “Come back to bed, Master, surely it can wait an hour. I don’t know if I can though, or want to…”

He gave her a roguish grin at the sultry tone, but sat down any way, his smile widening at her indignant huff. The sound of sheets sliding across silken flesh announced her approach as he turned on the computer. She slid into his lap wearing the bed sheet, turning toward her tamer as the call came up, but out of the way so that Geno could still talk. The person on the other line was wearing combat fatigues in the traditional Hunter dark grays, browns, and black. He started to say something, but stopped, the silver leaf on his collar flashing in the light, a building behind him. He took in the nude female, before looking back at Geno with a deadpan expression. “Catch you at a bad time?”

“Yes, actually, but the attendant said it was important. And if it is merely a Hunter finding out why I was being a bit rude to a fellow hunter in Cherry Grove Town…”

The Hunter snorted a denial, before continuing. “Hardly, that one means well, but has no people skills. But we have a need for you at a developing situation at the local bank, and since the Team Apocalypse members have specifically asked for you, we thought you might be interested.”

The Hunter tapped a button to the side, and a male wearing a half face mask appeared in the upper right corner in a smaller screen. Though Geno could not see the bottom half of his face, but his hackles immediately rose as he recognized James. “We are holding thirty two hostages inside the bank, and will not execute any more provided that all our further demands are met. First; that the law enforcement personnel pull back a full half block from the bank. Second; that we be allowed to finish our important work of returning the world to its pristine state where humans are again in charge. Where pokégirls and half breeds are in their rightful place as slaves and tools, to be used and discarded as the rightful rulers of Earth decide. Third; that the half blooded freak who dared to try and thwart us at the police station attack be brought to us for judgment.”

The Hunter paused the video before speaking again. “The video goes on, and he threatened that he would execute a hostage every five minutes after a half hour had passed if we did not meet the demands. Needless to say, we are not willing to meet any of their demands, but there are other considerations. If you come down to meet us near the bank, we can brief you in person.”

Geno nodded, not really paying attention. James had called him out, and that was all that mattered to him. He gently displaced Mayuan, before gathering things up. “I will be there within ten  minutes.”

The Hunter nodded, and switched off the computer, letting Geno continue cleaning up. Mayuan pouted for a moment, before getting dressed. She touched his arm to get his attention. “Master, brief the others, I can finish grabbing everything.”

Geno nodded, and let out almost everyone; Tiamet, Asheer, Lendysa, Aliza, Tiria, Bellezza, Razia, and Sara. Tamara was the only one he left in her pokéball, knowing that she did not want to fight. He quickly explained the situation, and then recalled everyone but Aliza, wanting to be as low profile as possible until he got to the bank. Glancing at the clock, he swore, and grabbed his poképack as he returned Aliza, realizing he had less than five minutes left until he said he would be at the bank. No longer worried about a low profile, he took off at a dead run, slowing only long enough to slam the door to his room with his tail as he kept moving. He released Asheer as he got out of the pokécenter, and briefed her as they ran toward the bank. She gave him a worried look, and voiced her opinion. “Master, are you sure this is wise? After all, if he is specifically calling you out, that means he thinks he has an advantage over you. Perhaps it would be better if the locals dealt with this one?”

He grinned at her, before flippantly replying, “Of course he thinks he has an advantage. He thinks being a pureblood makes him into a demigod, at least. Besides, this time it is not us against the entire team. We will have both the locals and Hunters backing us up. How nasty can it get with that kind of support?”

(July 9th, 296 AS, 950, Violet City Main Hospital)

“Ouch. Wait, what the fuck happened and where am I? Gah!”

Geno tried to lever himself upright bed he found himself in, wondering where the hell he was. He looked around the room, clearly a hospital room, but the last thing he could remember was talking with Asheer as they headed toward the bank to talk with the Hunters. He collapsed back onto the bed, and then sat bolt upright as he realized he was alone in the room. He then doubled over as he half gasped and half screamed in agony, his insides turned to molten lead at the sudden movement. He tore open the hospital gown, and gaped at his stomach, a thick, red gash, nearly two inches wide and ten inches long, ran from his left hip up to the bottom right of his ribcage. He blanched as he gently prodded the wound, and the wondered why he was still alive, the shock alone should have killed him, let alone the blood loss and damage to internal organs.

{That would be because of me. You may be resistant to magic healing, but psychic healing still works to a degree on you. Not as well as it should, but good enough to save your life.}

He looked up at the door, wondering why he had not heard the door open, and then realized that the person had not spoken, but sent her thoughts. He glanced at the new occupant near the window, and realized that she must have teleported into his room. He stared at her for a moment, but for some reason he did not feel the deep fear that he normally felt around the other Alaka-Whams he had met so far. He paused a moment, looking her over, and noticed a few things about her that just seemed odd.

First was that she stood with her weight evenly balanced, a warrior stance that was ready to move in any direction that was required. Second was that her all her muscles he could see seemed to be developed like she worked out. Not that it made her unattractive like most of the body-building pokégirls, but it just seemed out of place on a psychic type. Third was that she looked to be barely over five feet tall, but even across the room she projected a feeling of being in charge and larger than him, something he had never felt before, not even from the Headmistress of the Academy, at least not so strongly.

Several other things about her seemed out of place, but he could not figure it out right then, the pain from both his body and head combining to knock him flat onto his back again. He whimpered softly, before a feeling of ice and numbness enveloped his chest and head, which was nearly as painful. He tried to scream, but his chest muscles would not respond. Then the pain and numbness were gone, as fast as they had appeared. He gasped for breath, and opened his eyes, staring into the Alaka-Wham’s azure colored eyes, which analyzed his sweat covered form carefully. She nodded, and then helped him sit up, his chest and head no longer hurting. He looked down at his chest, still weakly gasping for breath, and noticed that it was no longer such a bright red color.

He looked at the pokégirl, and nodded in thanks, unable to talk for the moment. She simply stepped away, and stared at him as he slowly twisted around, pulling the IV needle from his arm as he got out of the bed. He looked around the room, and noticed his possessions on a nearby table. He limped over to them, showing a set of his clothing, the poképack, and his pokédex aside, before finding his belt without any pokéballs on it. He grabbed the poképack, beginning to panic about where his harem was, and brought up the display screen, scrolling through its contents. He was relieved when he saw he had two pokégirls in storage, Bellezza and Tamara, but he had no idea where any of his other girls were. He started to panic, before trying to logically think of where they might be.

{All of your girls were badly hurt during the attack, and most of them display at least some resistance to healing cycles. They have been set up in a nearby room to finish healing on their own.}

He did not glare at the Alaka-Wham, it was not her fault that she had not volunteered the information. After all, perhaps her tamer did not bother to keep track of where his harem was, relying instead on one of the girls to do it for him. He took a breath, trying to calm down, and then pulled off the ruined gown. Climbing into his clothing was a challenge, his gut wound protesting every movement, but he forced himself to keep moving, concern for all of his missing girls driving him. It took him nearly fifteen minutes to get dressed, instead of his usual three, but he had just finished putting the pokébelt on when an exhausted looking Nursejoy">Nursejoy walked into the room. The Alaka-Wham looked at the female, before teleporting away, before Geno could form his thoughts up enough to ask where his harem was.

He did not comment about the time it had taken the Nursejoy">Nursejoy to come check on him since he had pulled the sensors off, enough time for him to officially and irrevocably die. He simply nodded to her, one hand over his gut wound as he asked about his harem. She looked at him like he was a ghost, before shaking her head. “My apologies sir, but they are downstairs; in the critical care. That you are up and about is a miracle from the Thousand, even if it was you.”

Something about how she talked to him made him start paying attention, and he felt unease at how respectful she was being. He was used to being treated kindly by public service pokégirls, but this was a bit beyond the normal. Now somewhat scared about what the public knew that he did not, he simply nodded, and snagged his poképack. Limping slowly from the room, he took his time, but was still out of breath when he made it to the elevators, not two hundred feet from his room.

Panting, he leaned against the wall, and waited for the elevator, and watched the news on a TV near the elevators. The current story was speculation on how the Team Apocalypse members had known so much about the bank and how the Hunters would respond, as well as what they were after. He smiled tiredly, and then limped into the car as it arrived. Arriving down at the critical care floor, he got directions from an Ingenue working the desk, and headed down the hallway, staying out of the way of the industrious hospital staff, and watched an unconscious Hunter get wheeled by in a bed, his left arm missing at the elbow, and a gaping hole where his jaw should have been. Geno shifted uncomfortably, and moved on as quickly as he could, wanting to get out of the way.

Arriving at the room, he glanced inside, and relaxed when he recognized the hulking form in a bed. He stepped into the room, and checked Tiamet, before looking around the room, and relaxing a bit as he found Asheer, Sara, Mayuan, and Aliza in the other beds. He suddenly frowned, and looked around again, noticing that both Razia and Tiria were missing. He sat down at the only table in the room, and pulled out his pokédex, bringing up the collar tracking program. He punched in the password, and then looked up both Razia and Tiria’s collars. Both of them were still in the city, and he scribbled down the addresses on the map that appeared to correspond with the location on the tracking map. The tracking map did not have any addresses on it, and he made a note to combine the two programs later.

Closing the pokédex, he leaned back, and looked at the TV in one corner of the room, and switched it on with the remote. He grinned as he saw it was another news station, this one covering a local tamer that had gone in with the Hunters like he had. It was a fairly detailed summary about the tamer, and Geno felt some amusement at how thorough the reporting crew had been. His amusement vanished when the announced the time of the tamer’s funeral, and added that a general funeral for the five fallen Hunters would be held immediately afterwards. He snorted, and started to turn off the TV, but froze, finger on the power button, when his picture came up. He stared, shocked, as the reporter began rattling off his information.

“Our next tamer was a wandering tamer, though most of our town will recognize him from the January attack of Team Apocalypse on our main police station. Geno Rathin was adopted in 285 by a couple outside of the small town of Gaia’s Terrace, a few days north of Olivine. He enrolled in the Jhoto Academy at the age of 16, and completed the two year master tamer course last December. He is currently in a critical and unstable condition at the Main Hospital, and is sadly not expected to live. He is the first pokégene level three of a dragoness that Jhoto has ever had. We also have a clip of his rather… unique fighting style, which also includes the footage where he manages to save nearly a dozen Hunters and their harems after they walked into a trap almost by himself.”

He felt his jaw hit the floor in shock, not having expected them to have gotten so much on him so fast. He was even more amazed at the footage that came on after the reporter finished his information. It was a shoulder mounted camera, and the quality was surprising good for a camera at that location. It was on a Hunter about halfway in the group, as he turned, and Geno saw himself, near the rear, letting the Hunters and locals go first. They got to the front of the bank, and one of the Hunters placed a charge on the door, before everyone backed away. The leader murmured softly into his shoulder mike, and then nodded to the Hunter that had placed the explosive. The door was blown open, and the nearest two Hunters stepped to the corner, blindly firing around the corner as the two Hunters behind them stepped out.

All four of the Hunters were thrown backwards as an explosion went off in the doorway, and several bloody holes appeared in them as the claymore mines took those four Hunters out of the fight. The rest of the group paused a moment, before moving up and more carefully inside. The person with the camera looked behind him, and then gestured for the two local tamers to follow, both looking rather pale. The Hunter stepped around the door, and Geno grinned to himself as he realized he was following right behind that Hunter with the camera.

The Hunter stepped around the corner, following the small group going to the left around the entry desk. As the group rounded the corner, they saw the four Team Apocalypse members, a Gun Valkyrie, a Gun Bunny, and a Sorceress. The one member wearing a mask had just gestured toward the other group, and the Sorceress was gesturing toward the group. The image suddenly jerked as the Team members suddenly sped up, moving far faster than a normal person should have been able. The human members pulled plasma rifles from their backs and joined the pokégirls at firing into the groups of slowed attackers. Several girls tried to step in front of their tamers, and take the hits, but the faster moving robbers managed to take several tamers out before the girls managed to cover their tamers with their bodies.

Even as the wounded and dead dropped, chests and faces burned off from the plasma, a blur of blue streaked past the camera Hunter, and jumped on top and then flipped off of a Blastits, several plasma shots streaking past but Geno watched himself deftly avoid two, and appear unaffected by the three shots that hit. He dropped down, claws leading at one team member wearing what looked like plate armor with two large tanks on his back. The member screamed as he unleashed two streams of fire at Geno, who slammed his claws against the neck seam of the armor. The claws bent and then shattered, but his momentum knocked the team down onto his back. He lashed out at blinding speeds, as the team members desperately moved away from the enraged tamer in their midst. Several more pokégirls appeared near the team members, and headed toward the two groups of attackers. He watched several more seconds of himself almost randomly engaging one and then another team member, driving them away from each other so they couldn’t support the others. He dove at James, tackling the Team Leader, and then both of them fell through the floor, before a miss aimed plasma shot took out the camera, ending the clip.

Geno gawked at the TV, which went on about some sort of illegal underground pokégirl fights that had been busted by the police the day before. He numbly turned off the television, and rested in the chair, staring blankly at the wall. He was shocked, at both the ferocity with which he fought all four team members and three of their girls, and that he had survived that kind of suicidal charge into combat. He shivered as his hand rested on his gut wound, and made a note to start having an actual fight with Lendysa at her full abilities as often as he could. He needed to learn to survive fighting someone both stronger and faster than him for at least three minutes. He glanced up at a flash of pale reddish-yellow, and nodded to the Alaka-Wham. “Give my thanks to your tamer, both for saving my life, and healing me further. Is he nearby? I would like to ask him some questions about cross training our harems.”

The Alaka-Wham looked at him for a moment, but did not respond. Sara suddenly whimpered in pain, and tried to move. He stood up, and limped over to his Charred Whorizard. He grabbed her hand with one hand, the other rubbing her cheek, as he murmured softly to her, telling her to relax, she was fine, her harem sisters were alright, and he was still alive. She tensed when he grabbed her arm, and then started to relax when he talked to her. She shifted for a moment, before her eyes opened. She looked at him, and then smiled slightly, before whispering, “You… you’re… alive... We were… so… scared…”

She was fighting to stay conscious, and he kissed her forehead. “Go back to sleep, little flame. I will watch over you until you are ready to watch over me again.”

She smiled tiredly at him before her eyes rolled up into her head, and she silently slipped back into unconsciousness. Geno smiled at his Whorizard, and then stood up to go check on his other girls. As he turned he realized that the Alaka-Wham was still staring at him, and something about her stance seemed unnaturally familiar. After a few moments, he finally felt his patience snap. “Where have I seen you before? I know I have seen you before, and it wasn’t at the bank.”

The Alaka-Wham continued to stare at him for a moment, before she finally replied. {I am in need of a… tamer. You have need of a healer that can heal you, since you cannot be magically healed. We can help each other. Is this acceptable?}

This is not happening again. First Gisela, now this Alaka-Wham. And where the hell did I see her before? I know I have seen her before…

He stared at her in shock for a moment, before looking around at his harem. Asheer and Mayuan both chose that moment to moan in pain, and their need decided him. “You wish to join my harem? Very well, I accept your request, but have a few conditions. First…”

{You want your harem fully healed, your missing harem members found, and to know where you saw me before. I will not reveal the last to you yet, but I can help with your memory problems. The first two I will do and then heal you. After I have been in your harem for two months, and our bond is strong enough that you will not destroy it out of petty anger, then I will reveal why you know me. Is this acceptable?}

He stared at her in a combination of annoyance and amusement. He was annoyed at her dodging what he wanted to know, and amused at how she seemed to treat a lifelong commitment as if it was a business transaction. Not something he had expected to ever end up doing with the pokégirl in question. At least she is nice enough to ask, without trying to nudge my decision with her powers like Gisela had. That alone makes her offer more appealing.

He looked back at her, and then made his decision. “Fine, you may join my harem on the extra condition that you do not attempt influence me with psychic suggestions and that you do not probe into any of the harem member or my mind without our expressed permission. Is that acceptable?”

He grinned as he used her own words back at her, but her face remained as impassive as before, not showing any emotions at all. She considered the request, and he reflected on what he knew about Alaka-Whams. If I remember the pokédex correctly, her lack of emotions means she was born an Alaka-Wham. She has literally no emotions at all. I thought that the pokédex was exaggerating about that little fact about the breed, but I guess not. Serves me right for doubting the ‘dex.

She did not take long to decide, barely letting him finish his reflection before she sent her reply. {Very well, I accept your conditions and will comply with them, until it is against the best interests of the harem and yourself. In which case I will do what I can to put us in an advantageous position relative to the situation. Would you like for me to heal these harem members first, or collect your two missing members first?}

He considered her, and then the condition of his harem, before wincing as his back suddenly began to pulse in pain, indicating he had wounds on his back as well as the one in his gut. He nodded to her, and then said, “Get the two missing girls first, one is…”

{An insecure Nursejoy">Nursejoy, the other a rather obsessive Cheetit that is about to evolve from sheer desire to please you. They are at the main pokécenter on Goldenrod Street. I got that from your mind before I agreed to not pry.}

She teleported away before he could reply, which was probably just as well. He figured she was abiding by their agreement, but he had not realized that she had already gone through his, and probably the rest of his harem’s minds. He settled down in a chair near Aliza’s bed, able to tell at a glance that Aliza had been hurt the worst out of the group. Most of the group simply had bad burns, with a few stab wounds, but nowhere near the severity of his own gut wound. Aliza, however, had a bandage over one eye, and part of her bulb had been cut off, the rest was burned to nearly a crisp. He gently held her hand, his thumb rubbing along the side of her limp hand. Her breathing was swallow and slow, and he was concerned that she was not moving at all, other than the slight rise and fall of her back as she lay on her stomach. All of the other members would move about occasionally, trying to get comfortably around their wounds, but Aliza was limp. He prayed briefly, that he would not lose another of the Boobisaur/Ivywhore/Venuswhore evolutionary tract; that his white blossom would not follow his little flower into death. Depressing, that I cannot properly take care of my plant types. And those are supposedly the easier types to take care of…

He sighed, and continued to hold Aliza’s hand, wondering what was taking the Alaka-Wham so long. Crap, now I have to think of a name for her. Maybe she already has one. Something else to worry about…

(July 11th, 296 AS, 1300, Violet City)

Geno limped along the shops, looking for any items that might be of use for the trip back to the Academy. He had started to remember bits and pieces of the fight the night before, and one of his fragments had him worried about his friends back there. He paused, and reflected on the memory, trying to glean any more possible information from it.

He was fighting James by himself in a small room that they had fallen into, and his wounds were slowing him enough that he was struggling to keep James from scoring any hits. He managed to kick James back, but his left leg gave out on him as he shoved his opponent backwards, sending him sprawling. James righted himself quickly, and laughed at him as Geno struggled to his feet, gasping for air. “What is the matter freak? Lost your steam already? Don’t worry, I promise to kill you slowly, unlike your ‘old friends’.”

He shook his head, knowing it was not much, but he had no other friends that James could be referring to, other than the ones at the Academy. He was surprised that no one was gawking at him, but he had wrapped his wings around him like a cloak and apparently everyone thought he was still in the hospital trying to not die. It was odd, hearing people talking about him, both praising his actions as well as mourning him as if he was dead. If he had not been in so much pain from his back, he would have been laughing the whole time. As it was, he was merely amused. He paused in front of a store, an armory, if the suit of armor and weapons were any indication.

"Well, look what we have here... a dragon being worshiped like a king," A familiar voice snickered behind him before continuing, "So Mr. Drake how have you been?"

Kaigan walked around him, tail waving to and fro, inspecting him, "My, my, my quite healthy you are, and here I was worrying you had gotten all hurt."

Geno looked up from the window at the familiar voice, and turned, wincing only slightly as he did so, his gut wound protesting the sudden movement. He grinned at Kaigan, and then gasped in pain as he shifted his wings. He rolled his shoulder carefully, as Asheer nodded to Kaigan's escort, the Psyvix that had chosen him at the graduation ceremony. "Well, look what wandered into town. Just the man I needed to see. Can I buy you and your girl lunch?"

"Weak, weak, weak, You were, oh so strong at The Academy, I thought the wilds were suppose to strengthen a Tamer, so sad.." he says dramatically, before the prospect of a free lunch crosses his mind. "Hmmm... If I didn't know any better, I say you needed my help. Aren't I wanted..." His grin widens before chuckling, "I'll be nice, you choose where we dine, as long as you pay of course."

Geno nods, and counters, "You help the locals deal with James and three Team Apocalypse members in a bank robbery. I want to see how well you fare without second sight. But I happen to know of a nearby diner, and of course it is on me. I suggested."

Kaigan flicked his tail in disgust at the mention of James. “Oh, well, in that case I promise to not give you too hard of a time about it. Instead of being merciless, I will be simply lacking in compassion and empathy.”

Geno nodded as Kaigan grinned at him, and led the way to the diner, which was not far. "You are SO generous. Anyways, not much, but it serves pokegirls as well as tamers with more obvious blood gifts."

"Aren't I though?"

They stepped inside, and got a table for four. Once at the table, he told Kaigan about what little he could remember about bank robbery, as well as what James had said.

He looked up at Kaigan, and continued. "And the only people I consider family, other than my harem, are the friends I left back at the Academy."

Kaigan sat in the booth, letting his Psyvix go in first towards the booth, ears perking at the story, nodding at proper times, before his eyes flashed open, showing a slight glint of anger, before they closed again, "That's quite a story you have there... Geno...." He sighs softly and looks away, as if thinking on something before looking back with a blazing pupil, "I'm going to assume you’re asking for my help investigating the Academy?"

Rathin gave Kaigan a flat look, as Asheer and he placed their orders, before letting his sense of humor out. "Of course not. I am just broaching the subject to get you all riled up about this, before swiping your harem."

Kaigan blinked once before placing his order, "Yes, I'll have the large order of fries, just salt and pepper please, and a large chocolate milkshake, two straws. A dill pickle, don't forget the dill pickle."

Kaigan turns back to the dragon, "What were you saying again? Dry humor and sarcasm escapes me at times."

He set his hands on the table in front of him, folding his fingers together, "Well, I guess I can come, just to make sure you don't hurt yourself of course..." he chuckles softly before continuing, "Plus, I figure the walk would be a good bit of change to my current life."

Kaigan pulls out a slip of paper almost as an afterthought and scribbles a note down before sliding it to Geno discreetly, pulling back as the food arrived. Geno relaxed when Kaigan accepted his offer, and took a moment to compose a reply. The arrival of the food and the note distracted him, and he looked up, and saw a familiar looking woman at a table nearby. Recognizing Liandra Lithestepper under the dorky glasses and hat, he simply rolled his eyes. "Right, thanks for the help. I want to move fast, but the wounds I still have will prevent that. How about we get together tomorrow, about 0900, to leave?"

Kaigan pulls a handful of fries from the basket, and takes a bite on them, "Yeah, yeah. Don't mention it, let's make it 0800 though, after 0900 I don't bother waking up for a good 3 hours."

Geno laughed, and took a bite of his burger, as Asheer began to eat her steak. She snagged the note before Geno could get rid of it, and a flash of anger crossed her face, before she glared at Liandra. "Whatever, either is good with me. Picked up a new girl, an Alaka-Wham, with the wounds at the bank, and I was going to tame her tonight."

Kaigan laughed as well, chewing his mouthful of fries staring at his fox-girl with an amused grin, "Why do you like dill pickles and chocolate so much?" Kaigan laughs good naturedly before doubling over at the Psyvix’s telepathic reply, laughing harder, "Have fun taming her... hope she's okay..."

He snickers as he bites into a fry, "So I'll see you around 0800, works for me."

Geno nods, and takes another bite, before snagging the note from Asheer. She rolls her eyes, and quickly polishes off her steak, wanting to get Geno back for another healing session with the new harem member. He, however, takes his time, enjoying the company, before paying for the meal. Once they were all done, he stands up, and heads for the door. "Tomorrow then. Got things to be doing before tonight. And Kaigan, thanks again."

Kaigan looks over his shoulder with a grin, and yells, "I'll see you tomorrow, oh and Geno, be careful while waking these streets, you wouldn't want someone deciding they want to jump and ride your bones!"

He laughs loudly and goes back to sharing the milkshake with his Psyvix as Geno leaves with a wave. He was not concerned about being jumped, but the town realizing he was out and about was another matter. After a moment, Liandra orders a third beer, and then heads out after Geno, unaware that her cover is completely blown. Geno’s trip back was completely uneventful, and he soon arrived back at the pokécenter. He gave Asheer a kiss and a hug. “Thanks for helping today, and try not to kill anyone, alright? I know you saw the note about Liandra stalking us.”

Asheer’s mouth twitched, but she leaned around him and ignored his half question/order. “Len! Glad to see you up and about. How do you feel?”

Lendysa raised an eyebrow, but shrugged and then grimaced in pain. She was fully scaled up to her neck, and he let go of Asheer to gently rub her cheek. She shook her head, slowly. “I am fine, just tender and a bit weak, alpha.”

Geno nodded, and then winced. Asheer grinned, and glanced at the door. “Master, go get healed, we can entertain ourselves for a bit.”

Geno nodded, and limped out of the lobby, toward their room. Asheer gestured for Lendysa to follow her to one of the couches in the corner. Asheer lounged on one half, and gestured for Len to take the other half. Lendysa gave her alpha a curious look, but complied, just in time for the door to the pokécenter to open, and a half drunk Liandra and a dark furred feline stepped in. The drunk, shapely female tamer looked about, missing Geno’s tail disappearing around the corner. Asheer watched for a moment, and grinned a bit viciously as the tamer’s shoulders sagged slightly before she headed to the other hallway, her Shadowcat in tow.

Lendysa watched the tamer and pokégirl vanish into their hallway, before turning to her alpha. “And that was about…?”

“She thinks she can get any male with a tail she wants. She was stalking us, and when we met Kaigan, a tamer that Geno met at the Academy, he let us know about her. If she wants some time with Geno, she will have to go through me if she thinks stalking him is how it is done.”

Lendysa stared at Asheer for a moment, before shaking her head slightly. “You are taking this a bit too seriously…”

(July 11th, 296 AS, 1945, Violet City Pokécenter)

Rathin lay on the bed in his room, the feel of the Alaka-Wham’s hands on his back as she softly touched one of his wounds erotic, if slightly painful. The touch, soft though it was, still caused pain to lance down his back, but nowhere near as bad as it had been seven hours earlier, when she had started the healing session. Tiria had helped with the first half or so, before going to take a nap and then heal the rest of the harem enough that they could travel. He had the small vial of lust dust that Helaine had never gotten around to using with him on the nearby bed stand, and hoped it would help with the taming. He shook his head, and then glanced back over his shoulder at her, a movement that would have made him pass out at lunch if he had moved as fast as he just had.

The Alaka-Wham pushed a strand of her sweat heavy, golden-red hair out of her emerald eyes, and nodded at him. {There. That is as much as I can do for now. Too much more healing would make your wounds worse rather than better. You have a further use for me.}

He grinned and rolled over onto his side, carefully stretching before offering her a hand. “Two things actually. First, since you have not bothered to let me know me what you want to be called, I went ahead and picked a name for you. Ia. It belonged to a god or goddess of blind, swift, and impartial judgments, among other things, I think. Is that name acceptable?”

She looked at him for a moment, before nodding. {Yes, I accept your name. And the other thing?}”

He grabbed the vial of lust dust, and sent a silent prayer of thanks to his departed Helaine. “I was thinking a taming to welcome you into the harem would be appropriate.”

Again, she simply looked at him, not responding, trying to think everything through if he had to guess. {And the vial of dust is and for what purpose?}

He gave her a grin, still holding out his left hand for her, and palmed the vial in the other hand. “A vial of lust dust. Aliza said it should have about three doses in it. More than enough for tonight, and to help until you begin to have emotions.”

{What makes you think I need that to help me tame?}

“Since you have not even been aroused once since we met. Plus, emotions play a large part in taming, and the pokédex’s claim about your breed not having emotions if they were born Alaka-Whams is apparently true, since you have been nothing if not professional and emotionless since we met here. Which can be a good thing, but you are taking it a bit far.”

She did not react, which merely proved him right, as he had been trying to bait her. He popped open the vial, and tossed the cap to the side, before placing his thumb over the open end. “You did agree to be a part of my harem, correct?”

She nodded, but did not reply, allowing him to continue. “And right now, I am saying that we are going to use the lust dust.”

She stared at him for a moment, before sitting down on the near side of the bed. He did not enjoy having to go through with having to practically force her into bed with him, but if a psychic like her went feral... He shuddered at the thought, and tossed up the vial, using all the doses of lust dust at once. With any luck, we will not need to do it like this again…

She simply watched him with her eyes half closed, letting the dust settle. Her eyes widened as she inhaled the dust, and then she shuddered slightly, her fingers convulsively grabbing the bed sheets. She gasped and then shuddered again, doubling over to hold her chest and abdomen. She swallowed, and whimpered once, before closing her eyes and trying to sit up. She shivered again, as Geno felt the lust dust begin to affect him. He held himself back, watching Ia with concern, not expecting her to react as she was.

Even as he watched, the Alaka-Wham shuddered, each convulsion getting stronger, before he felt his eyes widen, suddenly realized what the problem might be. If she is trying to contain and analyze the arousal, instead of just letting it run its course or just experiencing it, she might be making it worse.

He stepped forward, and wrapped a wing around her shoulders as a fourth shudder, stronger than the last one, wracked her body. He gently placed a hand under Ia’s chin, and lifted her face up, carefully looking into her eyes. Her eyes did not focus on him, her mind clearly elsewhere. She suddenly jerked back and away from him, her breathing fast and erratic. Her nipples had hardened, the stiffened flesh seeming to beg for his hands. She would not stop rubbing her thighs together, and she gasped as another, more powerful shudder wracked her body.

He placed one hand on her shoulder, and she jerked as if he had struck her. He rubbed her shoulder, and then pulled her toward him to hold her to his chest. She, however, had other ideas, and suddenly twisted around to grab both of his shoulders and shoved. Geno found himself pinned down with Ia on top of him, too surprised to move. She quickly immobilized him by moving her hands from his shoulders to forearms. Her eyes were bright and almost seemed to glow with psychic energy, her hips moving against his. He gasped in pain as he felt her mind slide into his own, her presence uncontrolled, and he cried out again as he felt his mind partially merge with hers.

He/They gasped as Ia managed to impale herself, and he felt/heard her cry out in shock as her body stretch around his cock. Her walls contracted around his shaft she came almost immediately, breaking their psychic bond as she experienced her first orgasm. He tried to roll over, and pin her beneath him, take control of the situation, but discovered she was far stronger than he had expected, even considering that his position had poor leverage. She slowly slid back and forth, her tight pussy almost painful with its contractions around his penis. He rolled his hips, his hands sliding along her powerful thighs, and tried to lean up to kiss her. She firmly pushed himself back down, and then slammed her hips against his own, before sliding back up.

As she slid back down, she arched her back, thrusting her breasts into his face as she lay down on top of him. She tilted her head up, exposing her throat to him as she continued to thrust down onto him. He leaned forward, his tongue flicking across her throat, making her freeze as his lips caressed her soft, silken flesh, and she hissed in pleasure as his tongue brushed her artery. She froze when his fangs rubbed against her throat, and then looked down at him, her eyes flat and extremely hostile as he blushed, embarrassed by not remembering that she wasn’t comfortable with his style of taming yet. He returned to kissing, licking, and nuzzling her neck, silently apologizing as he slowly began to move with her again. It took her a few moments, but she eventually snorted, and continued their taming.

(July 12th, 296 AS, 0730, Violet City)

Geno walked outside of the pokécenter, and looked around, knowing he was about a half hour early for his meeting with Kaigan, but wanting to be gone before the city woke up. He flipped his wings out, enjoying the fact he was mostly healed, and grinned at Aliza, his normal guard when inside of a town. She was limping slightly, but otherwise fine after Tiria had healed her and the others of the harem that had been hurt still. Aliza looked around, before jerking her head at a nearby tamer training in the clearing outside of the pokécenter for just that purpose. “Master, isn’t that the girl that was stalking you yesterday?”

“How do you know about that?”

“Asheer warned us about her.”

He shook his head, and turned toward the indicated tamer, before nodding. As he watched, Liandra’s Shadowcat said something to the female, making her turn toward him. He shook his head slightly, as she stopped training with the Kitten to head toward him. Geno sighed, and then gave her a look before asking, “Any reason you were following me yesterday, or did you just want to fondle my tail again?”

The tamer grinned at him as she stopped in front of him, her sweat stained shirt sticking provocatively to her chest, as she put her jacket on but did not zip-up. The Kitten looked at Aliza, curious, as the Shadowcat glanced behind her at the coffee shop. Liandra looked Geno up and down before raising her arms to hold her hands together behind her head, practically thrusting her breasts at him. “Why, are you offering?”

Geno rolled his eyes, and looked at the coffee shop, noting a few familiar faces in it, but did not react to the Waagh Gang’s presence there, though the leader gave him the finger. “I said only my harem can touch my wings or tail. And you are not part of my harem, though from the way you have been acting, you certainly want to be in it.”

She smiled demurely, before stepping forward to try and put her arms around Rathin’s neck. “Hmmm, I don’t know… Your collar could be fun, though I doubt I would fit in a pokéball.”

She stopped as Aliza grabbed Geno with a vine and pulled him backwards, and firmly but carefully pushed Liandra away with her other vine at the same time.

"Oi, What's going on here?" A voice said to the two, "Damn Geno, Keep your cock in your pants, now you’re going after the human woman too?"

Kaigan grins at the two with a bag in his hands, his Sonica, Tifa behind him holding her own bags. Turning to the female, he gives one of his foxy grins to her, "Why, hello there miss, and you might be?"

Liandra glared at both Aliza, and Kaigan, before nodding somewhat graciously. “I am Liandra Lithestepper. And I was TRYING to get those pants off thank you. Don’t be trying to convince him to run off on me after all that work last night.”

Geno glared at both of the other… marginally normal humans, before trying to do something different and inject a bit of sanity into his life. “Now, hold up. We are leaving, and we are not going to be able to look after you if we do run into trouble. We are making a run toward the Academy, to check up on the people there.”

Raising an eyebrow, he blinks, "What work? Oh, you’re that crazy stalker chick from last night..." he mutters towards the end before nodding at what Geno said, "What the Ryuu said."

Kaigan turned and gave his Sonica a key, the bag, and some instructions. She nodded and dashed off, before Liandra could glare at Kaigan. “My name isn’t Lithestepper for nothing. I live up to the name, as does my harem, and we fight as hard as any harem I have met. And he is not leaving before I get to have some… quality time with him.”

Geno turned back to Aliza before complaining, “Why the hell is my life only getting weirder the longer I am in it? I thought it was supposed to be boring and predictable after the school. Run around, capture ferals, tame the harem, and capture more ferals. No one said anything about fighting Teams, horny females, or insanity at this level.”

Aliza giggled at his complaint, as Liandra patted his cheek from behind him, and smiled sweetly. “If they told the students that, they would all quit.”

Kaigan blinks at the trio, an amused look on his face, "Well Lithy-chan… is Lithy-chan all right? Doesn't matter really. You sure you aren't a pokégirl in disguise, but the levels of horny radiating off your body is utterly drowning" he says walking to the door, "I'll be back Geno."

He walks into the door, as Geno stared at him in shock before quickly dashing after him. “Wait a minute; you are NOT leaving me out here with her alone like this!”

Liandra watched both of the males disappear into the pokécenter, her eyes locked on Geno’s slowly swaying tail, almost drooling with desire. She glanced at the bemused Aliza, and began to slide over toward her, eyes quickly returning to Geno’s tail. Aliza suddenly realized that Geno had dashed inside, and began to jog after her, leaving Liandra standing outside with her amused Shadowcat and confused Kitten. Liandra swallowed, and then grinned at her Shadowcat, before swaying into the pokécenter after the two males.

(July 19th, 296 AS, 1930, Wilderness Camp Site)

Geno looked up from his set up tent, and let the girls head out to do whatever they wanted, as long as they stayed close to the camp. Asheer, Tiamat, and Lendysa nodded, before they left to go bathe at the nearby pond. Ia had vanished several days back, and he had not seen her since, but tonight was her night, so she would hopefully reappear at some point. She would have to be yelled at for a few minutes, but he would explain later what was expected here in this harem.

Liandra’s harem was only halfway done setting up, her Azhi Dahaka alpha, named Tintra, helping Liandra set up her camp. Her Kitten was trying to help with the lighter parts of setting up, but she was not sure of herself and kept setting up parts of Liandra’s tent wrong, even after seven days of hard travelling. Liandra spent as much time watching the Kitten as she did helping set up.

Kaigan had finished a minute or so earlier, and had let Tifa, his Sonica out to collect firewood, while his Psyvix alpha, Shikano kept nearby to keep an eye on him. He gave Geno a half hearted glare, before Liandra got a full force one to her back. He walked over to Geno, and murmured softly as he collected his pack from the pile in the middle, “Do something about her wanting your cock in her. It was amusing at first, now it is annoying as all hell. If she wakes me up in the middle of the night again, because one of your harem members tried to give her flying lessons again…”

Geno shrugged, and picked up his own pack, before heading toward his tent. “Her call, not mine. If she is bothering you, you do something about it. I am not going to screw her so you can sleep well. I prefer lasting relationships, and intelligent ones at that. Sex for the sake of fucking gets old. Fast.”

Kaigan rolled his eyes and pulled a loose strand of hair from his head, a grimace upon his face, "Infernal female... I want my damn sleep!!" he shouted towards the end to no one, before turning and walking towards the fire, just as Tifa arrived with an armful of firewood, taking a few logs and tossing them into the fire before pulling the Sonica in his lap.

Liandra looked up at Geno’s comment, and then grinned evilly at Kaigan’s. “Well, if you want to sleep that badly, Shashta could help with that.”

Kaigan rolled his eyes at the mention of Liandra letting her Warcat knock him out, before countering, “And how well would the kitties swim after a psychic dunks them?”

Geno watched the Psyvix levitate a rock the size of his chest, and realized that the situation was  rapidly devolving. Again. Liandra’s grin widened, as she sweetly asked, “Oh, you like your pussy soaked and dripping wet?”

Geno stepped between the two of them and raised his wings, blocking each other off. “HOLD THE FUCKING PHONES! Both of you calm the hell down and quit antagonizing each other.”

He turned to Kaigan, and said, “You are the one that was supposed to be the calm, collected, and stable member of the group. I don’t know why the hell you are acting so strangely, but it needs to stop. NOW!”

He whirled toward Liandra, and continued his tirade. “Liandra, quit antagonizing. I asked Kaigan to come along. You invited yourself. That means that you are the one that is not going to get to stay if I have to be a moderator and decide between the two of you.”

His wings settled against his back, as he continued in a calmer tone. “I have the longevity blood curse, so I prefer relationships that should last at least a few months. Not a fuck for a night and then move on. If I am not at least a friend, then I don’t oblige. And you are fast on your way to making me try to leave you behind. We are not the freaking Three Mouseketeers.”

Liandra blushed as Geno finally lost his temper, and told her that she had been acting like a bitch in heat. She looked over at her alpha, who simply returned her guilty look with a bland one. Liandra blushed harder, and looked down, before mumbling an apology. Kaigan glared at Geno, "I would be my usual self, if I got some fucking sleep."

He turned his head pointedly toward Liandra before sighing, "I like my sleep. In fact, I enjoy it. It's the one time in my life where I'm not near-deafened or blinded by my senses." He says turning off and going to his tent, his Sonica and Psivyx following him. Geno turned back to Liandra, who turned and vanished into her tent, her alpha letting the Kitten go first, before turning back to him. “She is not trying to be overbearing and stupid. It has just been a few days since she indulged in her fetish.”

Geno rolled his eyes as the dragon disappeared into her tamer’s tent, before heading to his own. Stepping inside, he looked around and realized that it was already set up. Spotting Ia sitting on the bedroll, he gave her a critical look up and down as he realized she must have set it up, before asking, “Well, I am glad you returned, and appear to be in one piece. Now, would you like to explain, or should I just start yelling?”

She simply looked at him, her eyes half closed, and he realized it was going to be a long and probably unpleasant night if he had to have a fight with her. He had been hoping that her ability to take in anything without being unbalanced would make her a good beta so she could help Lendysa, but if she made disappearing for days on end a habit, he would be hard pressed to justify her in the harem, let alone in a position of authority. Not that he had to justify her being in the harem to the other girls in it, but he was not one of those kinds of tamers.

(July 22nd, 296 AS, 1930, Jhoto Academy)

Geno stared down from the top of the hill at the Academy he had left more than seven months back, and then began to curse softly, as he tossed his poképack down onto the ground. Liandra looked at him confused, before turning to Kaigan, and asking, “What is wrong with him? I thought finding this place intact would be a good thing.”

Kaigan merely shrugged, before heading down toward the school with Araka, his Foxx, at his side. Geno stood up a moment later, and angrily grabbed his pack before heading down toward the school as well, recalling Sara back to her pokéball. Liandra shrugged at her Kitten, before heading down after them, but slowed as she drew level with Geno. “You didn’t answer my question. Why is this place being alright a bad thing?”

He gave her a look, but sighed before answering. “Because I got myself all worked up over nothing. Plus, now I am not sure what James meant about not being able to protect my family. My harem and friends here are the only family I have.”

He shook his head, his wings tight against his back and his tail stiff, unconsciously displaying his irritation with his extra limbs. Liandra looked over at him and nodded, but he was relieved when she did not continue talking. He was exceedingly annoyed for believing what James had said, and he was not sure if he could keep his frustration to himself. He growled softly as he headed down the trail after the others, Asheer and Lendysa both worried as well. Well, if they are worried too, at least I am not crazy for doing so. Or if I am, I have damn good company…

Several hours later, he was back in his old room, had just let both Selene and headmistress Dalara out to head back to their own quarters. He nodded to himself, glad that they had both come to catch up on his latest screw ups that he called adventures. Kaito, Taki, and Masagi had left earlier, needing to be ready the next morning for the early classes. He shut the door, and then headed over to the couch, and collapsed on top of it, looking up and smiling as both Asheer and Razia snuggled against him. Razia did not say anything, content to simply fall asleep beside her master, but Asheer had something other than tamings or rest on her mind. “So, Blackthorn next. Any particular reason why, or are we just avoiding the hero worship?”

She smiled as at him as he wrapped his tail around hers. “No particular reason other than to see something new. Not sure if the others are going to want to come with me though. Liandra will probably, but Kaigan is an open question. Is it me, or has he changed since we last saw him? And no smart ass responses, I am being serious.”

Asheer gave him a look as innocent as an Angel could manage but he was not fooled in the least. She shrugged as she finished finding a comfortable spot that was not taken by the lightly dozing Cheetit. “I am not sure, I was not really paying attention to him. I was a bit more interested in my first choice for tamer than someone that was not on my list?”

He looked up, and kissed her forehead, before continuing. “Oh really? And who, other than me was on this list of yours?”

She smiled contentedly at him, before kissing his neck softly. “Only one name was on the list. I had a feeling that he would not turn me down though.”

He smiled, enjoying the ego-stroking, even though he knew she was doing it deliberately. He yelped softly and shifted, making Razia growl irritably as her warm pillow shifted, as Asheer found a ticklish spot. She pulled back from her grazing, and gave him a look of contentment. “Oh, so you do have a weak spot. Be glad Razia wants to sleep, else I would exploit it, unless you agree to my demands…”
He gave her a shifty look, before running his hand through Razia’s hair. “She might not like that.”

Asheer snorted in amusement, as she rested her head against his chest. “Not a taming. Three things actually. First, and this is not negotiable, is that your word that you will stop running off without one of us. I just found you less than a year ago. I am not losing you that quickly. You gave us a promise earlier, but we have been lax about enforcing it.”

He groaned softly, before nodding, knowing that it was for his own good, and that death wasn’t curable. Asheer relaxed, and then helped his strip his shirt off, before rubbing her head against his chest. “Thank you. The other two are more for my own curiosity. Where was and is Ia, and are you heading to Blackthorn out of a desire to pick up a kyn?”

Geno sighed irritably, before replying. “I am not sure where Ia is. She returned on her taming night, and I told her how the harem is supposed to work, i.e. the pokégirls stay near the squishy tamer to keep him alive. She agreed that most pokégirls did, and then pointed out that she was not most. She did not say where she had been, only that she had several things she needed to do before she was willing to stay with me at all times. I am not sure how, but she convinced me to tame her, and then she left again once we were through. I am beginning to think she is not interested in joining the harem, but I am not sure why I am thinking that.”
The last was said with such thick sarcasm that Asheer knew better than to voice her own thoughts on the matter. She simply rested against her lover, and silently asked for the Thousand Gods to have a bit more sense of proportion when throwing things at them. Geno was asking the same thing as well, but knew that with any luck, arriving in Blackthorn in a week and a half or so would let life slow down a bit. Hopefully

(August 3rd, 296 AS, 1100, Outskirts of Blackthorn)

Geno sighed in relief as the group stepped out of the forest, and looked up at the paved path that lead up into Blackthorn City. He glanced back at the group, and grinned at the two others, both of whom were soaking wet. “So, what did we learn about fording moderately deep rivers?”

Liandra glared at Kaigan, who continued to pick his way up the path. “Don’t argue with a fox about the superiority of felines while in possible feral territory?”

Geno snickered, and continued up the path, Sara somewhere above them. “Something about like that. Though the Whoretortle will make a good chunk of profit, and I can easily solve that dilemma right now. Dogs and foxes are good in a fight, cats are great to cuddle, but when the shit hits the fans, a dragon is what you really need. Therefore, dragons trump both.”

The last was said with a beatific grin back at both of his companions, which made both of them glare up at the dragon tamer, but neither decided to debate the point, seeing as he had the high ground and everyone was tired. Geno paused at the top of the trail, and offered the others a hand up, which Kiagan ignored but Liandra used to help pull herself up. She did not, however, try and press herself against him, something he was thankful for. He was slowly starting to get comfortable enough around her to relax a bit, but he was still not ready to call her a friend, not quite yet. He turned back toward the city, and then grinned to himself. “So, is the Band of Three ready to hit the town? I don’t know about you two, but that pokécenter, gym, and a famous local site are calling my name.”

Kaigan shrugged, before starting down toward the town. “Nonliving things are calling your name. Does your Alaka-Wham know about those voices in your head? I would think she would do something about those.”

Liandra grinned as she started down herself. “Band of Three, huh? Is that like the Three Mouseketeers? All for one, and more for sex?”

Geno groaned as both of his travelling companions teamed up against him, and mimed being shot. “A hit, a pair of decent but unwarranted hits! Whatever did I do to deserve that?”

Kaigan shook his head, still heading down the trail even as his called back over his shoulder, “Besides being an annoying, egotistical little Ryuu and pretending to be a mime? Nothing really, I just felt like saying that.”

“HEY! I am not egotistical! And what the hell does Ryuu mean anyway?”

Liandra grinned at him, but neither answered him as they continued downward, toward the pokécenter at the near edge of town. Geno grumbled softly to himself, but stopped when Kaigan added, “Talking to yourself as well? Even worse than just hearing things talking to you. You really need to let Ia know about that.”

Geno gagged as Kaigan got another shot in, but refrained from commenting, realizing that the fox was outmaneuvering him verbally. He waved up to Sara, who had already began to circle down toward him, as another pokégirl flew off toward the northeast part of town, and then beyond it to land in a clearing. He grinned to himself as he dashed after the other two, ready to go and find out what the ‘Jhoto City of Dragons’ had to offer to a tamer like himself. Maybe a nice Draco or a similar, lovely little dragon type. Surely that is not asking for too much, even for someone like myself…

“Hey, scales! You are lagging behind!”

He shook his head as realized he had slowed to think, and Sara was circling low, just above him. He grinned up at her, and waved at her. “So, what was that about?”

She shrugged, and landed gracefully beside him, effortlessly going from flying to running. “Nothing much, just a dragoness wondering what a Whorizard was doing in the area. Once she figured out I was keeping an eye on my tamer, she headed off to do her own thing. Also, here, we both know I am not allowed to carry those in a town.”

She handed him several pokéballs, three of them with feral occupants. He nodded, and stored them in his poképack, as he caught up with the others. He slid to a stop behind Liandra, and poked her in the back. “Hey, who gave you permission to give me a nickname, Lia-chan?”
