Chapter 9

(January 8th, 296AS, 1530)
Geno took a seat on a fallen tree, and watched Helaine battling a feral pidgette, and was holding her own well against the unusually aggressive bird pokégirl. She had not evolved yet, unlike Sara, who had evolved after a battle against a feral kitten, the pokégirl that Asheer had seen. The feral had been strangely powerful, nearly defeating his Charamanda because Sara had let her get close to better use her fire attacks. An ember to the face of the kitten had managed to stunt the feral’s aggressive tendencies enough to get out from underneath her. He grinned, remembering the almost painful taming session with Sara in her new body, being much warmer than before.
A gust attacked that should have been easily dodged knocked her backwards, and the pidgette used the attack to try and flee, quickly soaring into the sky, but a quick water gun catch the fleeing feral in her wing, knocking her from the sky and into a branch, before landing in a heap on the ground. Geno tossed the pokéball, and grinned as it chimed a successful capture, glad at how well they were doing. Letting out Tiria, he said, “Helaine just got knocked about by a feral, and you have guard duty until the next feral.”
Letting Tiria heal up the grumbling Titodile, he turned to her, and asked, “Something wrong?”
Helaine nodded, and said, “I should have evolved already.”
Geno grinned at Helaine, and said, “Since you are getting tamed tonight, perhaps you will evolve then. Don’t lose hope; you will evolve when you are ready. And I am not going to simply discard you because everyone but you has evolved.”
Helaine nodded, and then sighed, before saying, “So, how do you think I did?”
Geno grinned, and said, “I recorded the entire fight, and everyone will be watching all of the fights at camp tonight. We will all do critics for every fight then. So, back in your ball, you get to rest for the while.”
Helaine gave him a quick kiss and then let herself be returned. Geno sighed, and answered the look Tiria gave him, “I hate having to put them up like this. Once we get closer to Violet Town, I can let everyone back out, but right now, a large group won’t let us hunt ferals, except the territorial ones. And hunting ferals is what we need now, before we start Gym battling. I have Plans, and a strong harem will allow me to complete those plans.”
Tiria looked at him, amused that he had Plans, with a capital ‘p’, and said, “And will you grace your unworthy healer with your ‘Plans’, my lord?”
Giving her a look that spoke volumes about his plans, but instead said, “Well, if my healer is unworthy, then I guess I should not tell her, should I?”
Grinning as Tiria stuck her tongue out at him, he simply replied, “If you are going to do that, at least make it enjoyable for us both.”
Tiria immediately withdrew her tongue, blushing at the mental image that came with his suggestion, before walking next to him, still trying to control her blushes. Geno simply grinned, and looked around, wondering about what he should try and get first. The kitten and pidgette would not get them much for their collection, enough to replace the pokéballs and some food, but he really needed…
Something flickered to the left, toward them and Geno tackled Tiria, pinning his Nursejoy">Nursejoy beneath him, and hissing in pain at the sudden flash of pain along his left wing, from the middle of the thin flesh that made the wing to the bone that allowed it to move. Shoving himself up, he turned, and hissed in pain as something flickered out, and ripped the skin of his shoulder, something on the whip biting deep. Following it back to the source, he growled at the pokégirl, and shook his head as the poison on the whip hit him, making him feel weak and tired. Growling in anger, he reached for his belt, and pulled Asheer out, tossing her pokéball. She appeared as the feral’s whip hit his leg, cutting deep and making the leg collapse underneath him. Cursing softly under his breath, he said, “Tiria, if you are awake, a little help please. Asheer, feel free to beat the feral to a pulp.”
Tiria rolled over and moved quickly to her tamer, and said, “Why did you do that? I can take a hit and get healed easier than you can.”
Geno shook his head, as his vision blurred, trying to clear it, and said, “If you go down, we are in big trouble. If I go down, as long as it is not permanent, the harem just has to defend a location. Not that hard against a feral. Complain later about protective instincts toward those I care about, heal now.”
Tiria felt her mouth curl in amusement at his order to complain later, but made a note to talk to the harem about his lack of self-preservation instincts later. Pouring healing energy into him, she turned to watch Asheer fight the feral. And the first thing she noticed was that the Pyrona had taken the attack on her tamer personally, and was being very careful to not disable the feral, but instead cause the most amount of pain in the least amount of time, while keeping the feral both mobile and conscious. The feral screamed in frustration as attack after attack at the Pyrona missed, and revealed that she was a Domina. Tiria grabbed the pokédex, and then called up the information about the Domina breed, reading as fast as she could, shifting for the relevant data. Looking up, she yelled, “Asheer, Domina’s are plant types. Burn her!”
Asheer snorted, but did not take her attention off of the Domina, as she danced out of the way of the Domina’s next attack, and then hit the bitch in the chest with a flamethrower. Glancing backwards, she asked Geno as the Domina rolled around, trying to put out her leather outfit, “Are you wanting to capture her, Geno?”
He sighed in relief as Tiria started the healing magics again, before saying, his voice thick with pain, “Yes, catch her.”
Pulling the pokédex out, he pulled up the Domina file, focusing on evolutions, and said, “Asheer, catch her, yes, but let try to keep her from evolving. A Dragon Queen would be much more useful than a Dominatrix. And more likely to not challenge your every decision. WARE!”
Asheer threw herself backwards as the whip slashed through the air where the Pyrona had been standing seconds before. She turned her attention back to the Domina, angry that she had been distracted enough for the attack to nearly hit her. Reorienting on the Domina, Asheer purred, “You are going to pay for that, bitch.”
She flung an ember attack at the feral, making the Domina dive to the side, and right into another flamethrower, which threw the feral backwards into a tree, before dropping her onto the ground. Geno pulled out an empty pokéball, and handed it to Tiria, asking her, “Would you do the honors please?”
Tiria gave him a bland look, and then threw the pokéball at the still smoldering Domina, pegging her on the leg. Geno sighed and said, “You need to work on your aim.”
Tiria gave him a prim look, and pertly responded, “And you need to learn how to let us take a hit. We heal easier than you do.”
Asheer voiced her agreement as she picked up the pokéball containing the Domina and asked, “Is he able to move, Tiria, without hurting himself?”
Geno started to force himself to his feet, ignoring the pain from the cuts the whip had given him, but found Tiria holding him down with her hand. She said, “He will be fine after a few days of rest, as he still has some of the poison in his system, and his body is fighting my magic again. I wish it would stop that, it makes my job that much harder.”
Asheer nodded, and said, “Alright, lets find a place to camp and we can train, you can heal, and maybe even learn that we don’t break after a single hit.”
Geno glared at his alpha, who responded with a glare of her own, before she continued, “Damn it Geno, if you get too hurt to tame us, we are all in trouble. For the sake of the thousand gods, curb your instincts.”
Geno nearly snarled at being ordered by his alpha, but instead sneered and replied, “Alright, but when do I stop curbing my instincts? When you take a hit I could have prevented and then dodged? When it would be moderately inconvenient for me to do so? When I am the one hitting you? I do it because I care about you, not because I don’t care what happens to me. Do you want me to stop caring?”
Asheer closed her eyes, and sighed in vexation, before responding as if to a little child, “No, I don’t want you to stop caring, but it would be nice to not have to worry about my Tamer earning an early grave because he could not keep himself out of a fight. Please, Geno, we are meant to fight for you, so let us do so.”
Geno frowned, and the closed his eyes, before giving up. “Fine, find us a camping spot for a few days. We will be clearing ferals out from around it, and moving on after a few days. Take Mayuan with you in case you get attacked.”
Sighing, knowing that Geno never really agreed with her, Asheer nodded, and made a note to continue the argument later. He released Mayuan, and explained what was happening, and added, as he saw the look she gave him, “I have already had a lecture from Asheer and Tiria. The next person that gives me one gets punished. I don’t need the same lecture three times, as I think I have it down pretty good now. Just find a spot for the injured tamer, and behave!”
His temper was flaring erratically and he knew he could not control it for long, and something must have shown, because Tiria said, “He is right, enough. Leave him be. Just because he is overly protective of us does not give us the right to criticize him.”
Asheer gave Tiria a flat look that turned puzzled as the Nursejoy">Nursejoy desperately shook her head, and indicated that they should just go. Asheer looked at Tiria oddly for a moment, before disappearing into the forest with Mayuan, heading for a nearby clearing that she thought she had seen nearby. The Drow Zee looked at both of the other pokégirls strangely, before following Asheer.
Geno forced himself to his feet, and released Sara, and said, “No, lecture, just keep us from getting attacked.”
The Charmelons looked around, and then back at Geno, about to say something when she spotted his wounds. Taking the damage and his disgusted tone in, she simply nodded, and picked him up, before releasing Helaine herself. Geno muttered about not being helpless, as Tiria briefed both Helaine and Sara, before the group headed out after Asheer and Mayuan. Geno took the time to rest his head against Sara’s fuller breasts, making her shift slightly to rest his head against them more comfortably, and a soft purr radiated from her chest, too soft for the other two to hear, but enough for her tamer to feel, and know that she was not angry with him. He licked her tit, making her shudder and bite her lip to keep from moaning pleasure, before whispering, “If you don’t stop that, you are going to end up taming me right here. Injured or not.”
One more lick, before Geno simply rested his head against her full breasts, and finally succumbed to the poison, which was a simple sleep poison.

(January 8th, 296AS, 1930)
Geno woke with Helaine licking the back of his neck, and murred a sleepy protest, until Helaine moaned, waking him up completely. He looked at the Titodile, a bit dazed, and asked, “Helaine? Is something wrong?”
Helaine shuddered at the sound of her tamer’s voice, and gasped as he rolled over to get a better look at her and pull her to him. She ground her body against his, and moaned, “Master, please…”
Her chest rose and fell quickly, and her nipples where hard against his bare chest. She moaned again, and purred, “Please…”
Geno did not hesitate, but as he stripped his pants off, he wondered why Helaine was acting like she was falling into a feral state. She cooed in pleasure as he stripped down, and licked his member, making him tense up, and his cock finish hardening. The Titodile purred as she licked, and rubbed herself against him, before grabbing her breasts, and sliding them along his cock, while taking the tip in her mouth, careful to slide her tongue around the head of the cock. His hand drifted down to rub the back of Helaine’s head, and he asked, shuddering at another forceful sucking of his cock, her breasts rubbing against his manhood, “What caused this, little one?”
Helaine did not respond, only speeding up, before she shuddered, and suddenly surged upward, pinning him down beneath her and desperately impaling herself on him, moaning in pleasure as her already heated body eagerly accepted him. She groaned as her frantic pace increased, and panted as he moved with her, making her shudder as he alternated the rhythm, forcing her to move with him, trying to extend her pleasure. She was riding him, her hips rolling and grinding against his as her small, pert breasts bouncing with each thrust. Her face was ecstatic as they coupled, and her body seemed to glow slightly as they coupled. Her back suddenly arched, and she cried out in triumph as she came, and suddenly spasmed as her body began to glow brightly.
Geno stared in shock at his evolving Titodile, but then the light seemed to pulse, and he was forced to close his eyes, his body still claiming her depths, as she shifted around him, still too bright to tell exactly what was changing in his Titodile, no Cuntnaw. Helaine suddenly gasped, and started to grow, her tail lengthening and wrapping about his leg, and her small breasts swelling in his hands, growing out to a beautiful, full size. She finally stopped growing, and after a moment, the light slowly dimmed and died, blinding Geno in the sudden darkness. As his vision came back, he looked up at the new Helaine, who was still impaled, frozen, as she waited for her master to approve of her. Not even bothering to look her over, he pulled her down into a kiss, and rolled his hips, giving his Cuntnaw everything he had for her taming.
An hour later, his Cuntnaw was curled up beside him, snoring lightly and lost in a deep, contented sleep. He admired her, and liked what he saw. Her eyes, hair, and scales where the same as before, but she was taller, looking to stand almost as tall as he was now, if not more so. A pity, he thought, with a grin, she was too big to curl up in his lap, since she measured nearly twice her height. He kissed her again, before curling up against her, enjoying the company.

(January 12th, 296AS, 830)
Geno walked out of his tent and carefully stretched, enjoying being fully healed for the first time in a half week. He looked around, enjoying the sunrise, and glanced back at the sleeping Mayuan, curled up on his sleeping bag, and fast asleep. She had been his partner last night, and she had been in a strange mood, wanting to be dominated, and completely violated. Fun, he thought, but he enjoyed longer, more tender couplings with his girls. The occasional rough was fun, as long as it did not become the normal for her.
Looking around, he did not see anything out of place, and sighed in vexation, for the only thing that had been nearby had been a few feral ChickenLittles and a Titmouse. Barely worth the pokéballs he had used to catch them. Shaking his head, he began his stretches and exercises, warming up his muscles so that he would be able to begin to make up the time they had lost while he had healed. He glanced around, and then began to clean up the campsite, getting ready to go. Mayuan muttered from her spot on the tent and then groaned, “Geno, come back to bed, you were warm.”
Geno grinned feeling almost unnaturally cheerful, and ready to get on the road again. He finished cleaning up most of the campsite, and then said, “Mayuan, you have tamer watch today, so get up. It is time to go.”
Mayuan grumbled something that would probably uncomplimentary if Geno had understood it, but he simply grinned at her, before leaning down, and purred in her ear, his warm breath making her shudder in pleasure as it gently brushed across her ear, “If you get up fast enough, and help me take down the campsite, I might be able to find time to reward you for waking up so early.”
A glare was her initial response, but she did stretch, and gave her body a good shake, which he had the grace to watch. But then again, a dead stick would have had the good grace to watch, for she was quite striking. She then slowly rolled out of bed and grabbed her robe, sensuously sliding it on, and then stretching, before helping him pick up the campsite. In ten minutes they were ready to go, and Geno kissed his Drow Zee as they walked out, enjoying the sounds of the forest.
An hour later, he watched as Mayuan fought a feral Naga, and was doing a good job of it. She was forced to use her minor psychic abilities more than her magic, as she had no effective spells against the poison type, and Geno simply let her fight her own battle. Watching her fight, he mused over the fact that he did not know that she knew the attack confusion. The attack was not very strong, as shown by the fact that after several confusion attacks the Naga was still standing. Or whatever it was that Nagas did. The Naga’s body was, for want of a better word, perfect, and he leaned back, enjoying the two beautiful women almost dancing in front of him. He watched the Drow Zee attempt to hit the Naga with a lightning bolt, and she somehow writhed to the side, easily avoiding the attack, and decided that this could not possibly be a fight, as both females were entirely to graceful and agile for this to be a fight.
Another confusion attack as the Naga lunged forward, and she screamed in pain before she recoiled, this time holding her head and whimpering in pain. The feral looked up as a supercharged lightning bolt spell took her clean in her chest, and Mayuan screamed as it arced back to her. The Naga’s body contorted, and her mouth opened in a silent scream, the electricity ripping through her entire body, making her thrash uncontrollably. Geno stared in horror at the Naga writhing in pure agony on the ground, and quickly threw a pokéball, hoping it caught her. The pokéball rocked twice, and for a second the containment light glowed a bright red, as if the Naga was about to break free, before turning blue, and then fading down, indicating a successful capture. Mayuan collapsed, panting heavily, and Geno ran forward to check on her, and asked, “Are you alright?”
She rested her head against his chest, simply panting heavily, but eventually she replied, “Yes, that feral was tough. I was rapidly tiring and had to finish it then. I did not expect my desperation to overcharge the spell like that though. I nearly killed her.”
Geno smiled at her, and released Tiria, and said, “Well, if that was the cause for the overpowered spell, then I guess I can forgive you. She seems powerful, hopefully she is not a lesbian, and I think she would be a good addition to the harem.”
Tiria started to heal her harem sister, and looked at Geno expectantly, before finally asking, a bit irritated, “Well, do I have to figure out what happened, or is someone going to tell me?”
Geno raised an eyebrow at her demanding tone, but smiled and winked when she started to flush, “Mayuan was fighting an unusually powerful Naga.”
Nodding in understanding, Tiria finished healing Drow Zee, and stood up, saying, “She needs to rest, but she is as healed as I can make her without a pokécenter.”
Her mouth twitched, and then she kissed her harem sister, before saying, “She is as normal as she is going to get, sad though that thought is.”
Mayuan glared at Tiria, but did not say anything, which seemed to amuse the Nursejoy">Nursejoy. When the Drow Zee turned away and began to ignore her, the usually shy Nursejoy">Nursejoy leaned forward, and kissed her fellow harem sister, and whispered something in her ear. Geno did not catch it, but the sudden blush on the Drow Zee’s face made him wonder what had happened between the two of them while he had been injured to let them get that close to each other. Shaking his head at his harem’s antics, he stretched, and said, “Come on, let’s keep moving. You two can tame each other later. I swear, you two are more interested in each other than me. I would get mad if I did not think it was so cute. Will I get to watch next time?”
Tiria turned beet red, and Mayuan giggled, before trying to look superior, but instead looked a bit petulant. He grinned and said, “Alright, who stays out with me?”
Mayuan shook her head and said, “I could do with a nap, Master, so if you would return me please?”
Nodding, he put Mayuan back in her pokéball, and then turned to Tiria, and said, as they continued walking, “So, any choices for company?”

(January 24th, 296AS, 1930)
Cresting the final hill, Geno looked down at Violet City, and grinned, glad that they had finally made it to the city. His poképack was considerably emptier than it was leaving the Academy, but he was glad that they had taken the extra time to get here. Everyone was much more powerful now, and he had a good selection of ferals to sell and keep, if he wanted.
A little more than three and a half weeks of hiking and fighting, but he felt that they had done quite well for themselves. Twelve ferals rested in his poképack and he mused over the fights as he descended toward the city. Several minor fights with Pidgys, Titmice, and Bunnygirls, but two of them would replace all his expenditures during this trip, so he had caught all seven of them. The Naga and Domina he kept on his belt, trying to decide which of the two to keep. The Kitten and Pidgette where with the other ferals in his poképack, not wanting to add too many ferals at once. But the real prize, as far as he had been concerned, was the feral Amazonwu that he had caught two days before. She was a definite keeper, and she was strong too. He shuddered as he remembered that fight, still going toward the city.

He had had Sara out, and turned when he heard a challenging, “AmazonWU!”
Turning to his right, he saw a pokégirl pointing a hand axe at him that had definitely seen better days. The weapon was obviously well cared for by the feral, but the handle looked about to fall apart, despite the feral's best efforts. The feral issued another challenging, "WU!"
He had turned to Sara, and said, "You want to pick this one up, or should I get Asheer and Helaine out to back you up?"
Sara had snorted instead of replying directly, and began to advance on the Amazonwu, her tail fire flaring as she had grinned in anticipation, and said, "Your first mistake was issuing a challenge, Wu~! Your second was challenging me. Lets start this up, shall we?"
Geno rolled his eyes at the display of hubris and bravado, but did not say anything yet, glad that she was no longer as painfully withdrawn as she had been when he had gotten her less than a month ago. Of course, she had evolved in the meantime, and that might have had something to do with the personality change. Shaking his head, Geno returned his attention to the fight, taking a moment to study the opponent.
She stood at about five feet even, had a nice, full bust that did not interfere with her moments in the least, and wore a rotting set of leather armor that was in equal disrepair as the hand axe. Her body had a beautiful, lithe, muscular build that was reflected in her speed and control. Sara's snarl of rage was what stopped him from daydreaming, and he looked at her, before realizing that his jaw had dropped, because his Charmelons was definitely looking the worse for the fight so far. Even as he watched, Sara used a fireball, and felt his jaw fall even further open when the as the Amazonwu deflected the fireball with her weapon to make it detonate harmlessly in air. Not even realizing that could be done, he yelled, "Sara, fireball her feet!"
Sara jumped back to avoid a bonk attack from the feral, and then used another fireball, aiming for the Amazonwu's feet, and Geno joined in Sara's cursing as the Amazonwu managed to dive backwards to land just outside the expanding fireball. Geno's hand darted to his belt, grabbing Asheer's pokéball, and releasing her next to him as the Amazonwu dove at Sara, and missed with her first swing of the hand axe, but managed to catch Sara with the backhand strike, with the added bonus of snapping the handle of the hand axe. The Amazonwu stared at the handle in surprise, anger and shock, until Asheer caught the Amazonwu full in the chest with a flame thrower attack, throwing the Amazonwu back, setting her leather armor on fire, and giving Sara the room to pick herself up. Sara cursed as she shook her head, trying to clear the stars from the final backhand strike of the hand axe, but gave Geno and Asheer a wave of thanks for the assist. Geno glanced at Asheer in mild surprise as Sara advanced on the rolling Amazonwu, who was trying to put out her armor, and asked, "Are you going to help?"
Asheer looked at him in surprise, and answered, shocked at the question, "But Sara is fighting her!"
Geno looked at her levelly for a moment, and then said, "So? This is not a one on one battle; this is an attempt to capture the feral. Anything goes in the wilds. You should know that, so get in there."
The last was said with mild reproach, but he gently traced the aristocratic curve of her chin, and smiled at her, letting her know that he was not really angry or disappointed with her. A wink, and gentle shove to the fight, where the 'Wu was trying to get around Sara to get to a large, nearby branch. Whistling to get his two girl's attentions, he yelled, "Sara, let her get around you. She is going for the branch about ten feet behind you. Both of you hit her fireball when she is about to grab it."
Sara bobbed her head twice, indicating that she heard him, but did not let the Amazonwu around immediately, forcing her to work for the branch, and making sure that Asheer was ready for the plan. After a minute of tearing at the 'Wu, Sara lunged like she was attempting to pin her opponent down, and 'missed' as the 'Wu rolled around the lunge, and dashed for the branch. But Sara wanted to add her own flourish to the plan, and turned, firing a flamethrower at the 'Wu, and catching her square in the back, catapulting the poor feral forward to land practically on the branch, and then both of Geno's fire types hit the 'Wu with a fireball. Not waiting to see if the 'Wu was down, Geno through a pokéball, wanting to capture her if she survived the punishment. The pokéball disappeared into the expanding balls of fire, and Geno heard it hit and capture the 'Wu, and then waited as the fireballs vanished, showing him the rocking pokéball. It rocked for nearly a minute, and Geno was impressed at the feral's desire to not get captured, and said, as the capture tune sounded, "Well, I think she will have a place in the harem. Powerful and skilled. Wonder why she was allowed to go feral?"
He released Tiria, and turned to Sara as she asked, "Why do you think she was not feralborn?"
"Tiria, heal Sara please, she just took a beating from a very powerful feral. As for why I don't think she was feralborn, she wore leather armor, badly rotted, but still worked leather. And she wielded a real weapon."
He pulled out his pokédex, and brought up the information on the Amazonwu, and then said, "Plus, she only evolves from a single pokégirl, and then only if she has extensively trained with weapons. Out here, in the wilds, she would not have done so since real weapons are so scarce."

Shaking his head, Geno returned to the present, and glanced at the setting sun, before hurrying down the trail, wanting to get to town before the sun set. It was already touching the horizon, and still a half mile off, so he began to move faster, knowing he had maybe ten minutes to get a half-mile. Not that hard, but the ground around the town was a bit rocky, as he was approaching just north of the Dark Cave, as opposed to forested from the east, south and west. Jumping from one boulder to the next, he really hoped he did not run into any rock type pokégirls, as he would be well and truly up the creek without a fighting type at the moment. He moved quickly, hoping that his luck would not go pear shaped again any time soon, and after three minutes of jumping from rock to rock, he landed in the clearing around the town, and took off at a dead run for the town, enjoying the feeling of the wind moving past him, his body almost flying across the ground. As the sun disappeared behind the horizon, he slowed, entering the city limits, and considered his options for a moment, and then released Tiria, being the only non-combatant and one that was not likely to get him challenged at the moment, he wanted to just find the pokécenter and rest for now. Tomorrow he would be glad to start fleecing the local tamers.
Waving to a passing Officer Jenny, he jogged to her, wanting to ask her for directions, rather than wander the town looking for the pokécenter. He smiled as she turned toward him, and missed her hand moving to her radio, and said, “Evening Officer.”
She nodded to him, and looked him over once, her eyes resting on his wings for a moment, which in the darkness looked more like a cloak than a pair of wings, before asking, “Evening, can I help you, citizen?”
“Yes, ma’am, I was hoping you could point me in the direction of the local pokécenter with rooms for traveling tamers.”
She looked at him for a moment, and then said, “Of course, can I see your pokédex?”
Geno’s head tilted to the side slightly, suddenly noticing how tense she was, and asked, “Is there a problem, Officer Jenny?”
“Not if I can see your pokédex.”
Geno stared at her, surprised at how suspicious she was being, and then plucked it from his belt and handed it over, saying, “So, might I ask why you are so tense?”
The Jenny ignored his question as she flipped the pokédex open, and punched some keys, and said, “Name?”
“Geno Rathin. Just graduated from the Johto Academy about three and a half weeks ago. This is Tiria, my non-com. So, what is wrong?”
She read the information, and then looked up at him, back at the pokédex, and then sighed, before rubbing her eyes, and handing the pokédex back to him. She nodded to him and said, “Sorry about that, but I needed to confirm you were who your pokédex said you were. As for why I am so tense, there was a bomb threat to the town about a week back, and tomorrow is the deadline to give them some fifty million credits, every pokégirl in the pokécenter, and release one of their people we have in custody, or they would bomb a few locations tomorrow. Obviously, we are not going to give into their demands, so we are just out and being present, hoping to keep the team for completing the threat.”
Geno felt his eyes widen, and said, “Well, don’t let me keep you officer, and I guess you would be appreciative if I promised to report anything suspicious? So, about those directions?”
After getting the directions, he went on, wondering about the sudden shudder that coursed down his spine. Shaking his head, he went on to the pokécenter, and got a room. Giving the Nursejoy">Nursejoy on duty his pokégirls, he asked her to put his harem through a healing and cleaning cycle, and if she would point him to the computer for uploading ferals that had been caught but were unwanted. She politely pointed him to one of the computers in the corner, and then turned to put his harem through the requested cycles.
Sitting down, he powered up the computer, and put in his name and the requested password that he had set up when he had traded the Hounds away. As he hit the enter key, he was surprised to see that he had five messages on the trade account. He pulled the tray out that would upload the ferals that he had caught to the traders, but stopped, staring at the three pokégirls that he had caught and wanted to keep, but he could only keep two. Staring at the three pokéballs, he immediately picked up the Amazonwu’s pokéball, but hesitated as his hand drifted between the Naga’s and Domina’s pokéball, before sighing, and picking up the Naga, not feeling up to dealing with all the issues that the Domina would bring.
Pushing the tray in, he checked the messages, and saw that three of them were trades for the Hounds, and checking the date set it back nearly seven months back, immediately after he had received Mayuan. Deleting the messages, he felt a bit guilty for not checking his trading account more often, and brought up the other two. One was from Selene, and she had routed the messages from the others at the Academy to him through her message. He smiled as he watched the messages, before uploading them to his pokédex, so he could watch them again with Sara, Tiria, and Mayuan later, as Masaki had mentioned that she missed her sparring partners, and he thought that they might want to watch it.
The last message was from a very well known conservatory, The Meek Conservatory, and it appeared to be part of a bulk message that had been sent to every graduate at the Academy, as he saw nearly two hundred names on the forwarding address lines. Reading over the message, he was a bit surprised about its contents, and had to read it again.

To Johto League Academy Graduates;
We congratulate you upon the successful completion of the courses at the Academy, and would like to assist in making your tamer career easier. We can do so by buying all the unwanted ferals that you catch during you journeys, and will buy them, unseen, at a standard price that will be decided upon your calling the Meek Conservatory. You can also exchange ferals for credit at the Conservatory, and then use that credit to purchase you dream pokégirl.
From: The Meek Conservatory President, Kevin Baldwin

Geno looked at the message, and tried to guess what the catch was, before shrugging, and punching in the comm code into his pokédex, and saving it, intending to call tomorrow, when he would be rested and could think more clearly. He then saved the message over to his pokédex, and deleted the message in the trade computer account, before uploading all ten of the captured pokégirls that he did not want to the computer account.
Standing up, he stretched his wings out, wincing at a particularly loud pop, and then walked over to the counter, and smiled to the Nursejoy">Nursejoy, asking, “My apologies, ma’am, but I completely forgot to ask what your name was.”
The Nursejoy">Nursejoy looked up in surprise for a moment at his question, he curiosity at what he was doing showing, as she knew he already had a Nursejoy">Nursejoy, so he could not be coming on to her. She shook her head, and said, “My name is Patricia.”
Geno bowed to her, and said, “My apologies for bothering you again, Patricia, but I forgot to give you two of my new caught girls when I handed you the rest of the harem. I don’t suppose I could possibly get you to put them through the same cycles?”
Patricia nodded, and said, “Not a problem, sir. Your girls should be done in a few minutes and I will put the rest through then.”
Geno smiled at her, and said, “My name is Geno, and thank you.”
He rested against the counter for a moment, before asking her, “Patricia, do you know anything about the Meek Conservatory?”
She looked thoughtful for a moment, and said, “They are the oldest conservatory and ranch complex in the Johto, Indigo, and Capital Leagues, and are supposed to have a very good and honest reputation. Why?”
Geno shook his head, saying, “I was uploading my feral catches to the trading computer server, and found a message from them. I was just wondering if I should accept their offer to be a buyer for all my catches that I cannot use.”
Patricia looked as if she was about to answer him, when the PHU beeped, indicating that the cleaning and healing cycles had completed, and she turned to get them out. Returning to the counter she said, “I have never heard anything bad about them, other then that they used to be run by two unbounded Alaka-Whams. I think they were called ‘The Twins’, but I never heard anything about actual names.”
She continued to talk for a while, as the PHU started the C&H cycles on the two ferals that Geno had decided keep. But he was unaware of all of it, as a sudden surge of memory floated up.

He was in a blank room, with a single bed, a table, one chair, and a computer on the table. It was a bit chilly, but he ignored it, as it felt ‘normal’ at the moment. He sat at the table, as a powerful and familiar voice suddenly reverberated through his mind, [Solve all the puzzles on the computer, subject 34b, as fast as possible, and you will be allowed out of the room if your results are acceptable.]

Shaking his head slightly at the unfamiliar but strangely familiar memory, he turned his attention back to now, and glanced at the chrono on the wall, and as shocked to notice that he had lost nearly twelve minutes in the brief memory. Patricia looked at him, and said, “Oh, I am sorry, here I am babbling while you fall asleep on your feet. Here are your last two pokégirls. You room is 108; it is the closest door down that hallway on the right. Have a nice night, Geno, and thanks for keeping me company.”
Geno took the key she offered him, and said, “It was not a problem, and I never have a problem keeping a pretty woman company.”
He gave her a wink as he collected the two ferals in their pokéballs, and went to his room, wondering what the hell was wrong with him. He knew that memory was his, it felt like him, but why could he not remember anything else, and why did that mental voice make him want to shudder in fear?”

(January 25th, 296AS, 1145)
Geno sat with his non-feral harem members at one of the better restaurants that also served pokégirls, and was using his pokédex to do a bit of research on the Meek Conservatory. He liked what he had found so far, and was considering their offer more favorably now, especially when he learned that they really were the premier ranch and conservatory in the Johto League. He glanced at his harem, and was glad that all of them had decided he was good enough for them to be their tamer, despite his considerable shortcomings. Wondering where that thought had come from, he shook his head before he said, “Asheer, your thoughts on the team with our two new additions?”
Asheer took another bite of her meal, and carefully chewed as she considered her question. Geno took a bite of his food, and glanced at the police station that was just down the street from the restaurant, on the other side of the street. He started to turn his attention back to the table, when he spotted a person standing on the corner of the nearby intersection, smoking a cigarette, wearing a leather jacket, and a shiny girl standing nearby him. Wondering about the pokégirl, he pulled out his pokédex, and scanned her before turning his attention to the screen.

GunValkyrie, the Gunnermech Pokégirl
Element: Steel
Frequency: Very Rare
Diet: Organics processed into a type of fuel oil
Role: Snipers, Long-range combat, anti-air fighting

Impressed, he looked back up at the pokégirl, and said, “Damn, surprised that guy has such a rare type out in the open like that. Of course, I am hardly any better.”
Asheer glared at him, and said, “You didn’t hear a word of what I just said, did you?”
Geno stared at the GunValkyrie, and then at the information that popped, unease flickering through his mind. A bomb threat, she had said. Well, does a missile count as a bomb? He stared at the tamer, the unease increasing, especially when he looked around, and noticed another person near the restaurant they sat in, wearing an identical leather jacket, and smoking a cigarette as well. This one wore glasses, and had a Bunny standing nearby, with something wrapped up on her back. He idly scanned the bunny, and frowned at what he saw.

Gun Bunny, the Horny Crack Shot Pokégirl
Element: Steel/Normal/Magic
Frequency: Very Rare
Diet: berries, fruits, grains, most human foods
Role: Bodyguard, hit woman
Geno stared at the pokédex, and flipped on the recording option of the pokédex, and was reaching for his communicator, when a familiar but extremely hated voice said, “Dear gods, why is it that everywhere I go, there you are?”
Turning, Geno bared his fangs at James Smith, and snarled, “Don’t you have so poor soul to go inflict your supposed pure-blood status on? Someone who would actually care.”
He noticed that James was wearing a leather jacket as well, and he had a strange looking pokégirl beside him. She had red eyes, blonde hair, full breasts, dark green skin, and only one ear. She was also missing her left arm, and she looked at Geno with a small grin, as if finding something amusing about him. In the spot where her second ear would be was a small pin and lever, and Geno felt his heart stop, as he recognized the pokégirl as a Bombshell. Beautiful, in her own way, but exceedingly dangerous. Something was screaming in the back of his mind, but he could not place it, so he instead said, “A Bombshell, James Smith? Very cute. I am surprised you actually have the good taste to get an attractive pokégirl. Or did your dad give her to you, just like all the others?”
James smiled evilly at him, and said, “Stick around, and you just might get to see the rest of my new harem. Or maybe not.”
An evil snicker, and the ‘pure-blood’ leaned over to insultingly pat him on the head, before turning to walk down the sidewalk, away from the police station. James walked about a half block before turning into an alley. Geno flicked his comm out, and dialed the emergency number, and froze when he got a busy signal. He idly asked, “Question. When you dial the emergency response number, and get a busy signal, is that a good sign?”
Geno looked up at his harem members, who were looking at him in confusion, before Sara said, “I… don’t know, but who was that?”
Geno shook his head, and glanced at is clock, noticing that it was three minutes till noon, before he said, “Asheer, pay for the meal please, I am heading over to the station. I ho…”
The world shattered, as the police station was enveloped in smoke and fire, the entire station blasting outwards as the bomb went off. Geno was picked up and thrown backwards into the side of the restaurant, but his harem was merely knocked down, the barrier between the patio and the road catching most of the force of the explosion for them, but Geno had been standing up, so more of the force hit him.
He lay on his side, wondering why he could neither hear nor feel anything, before the pain hit. Taking a moment to force the pain aside, he glanced at his left wing, and nearly puked when he saw bone shards glistening through the left wing. Moving the wing brought instant, pure and undiluted agony, but he forced himself to fold it up, and since the shatter was past the wing joint, it was doable, just extremely painful. He glanced at the brick support column for the patio roof, and shuddered, knowing that if he had been two more feet to the right, he would not have shattered his wing, but his skull and spine instead. Forcing himself to his feet, he glanced about trying to figure out what had happened while he had been out. The first thing he noticed was that he had not been out that long, as the Leather Jackets were still running to the destroyed police station, all of them pulling out what looked like overly bulky rifles.
Wondering what those rifles were, he shook his head, and instantly regretted it as his world spun, and he checked on his harem. Asheer’s mouth was moving, but he could not hear anything, so he shook his head, and pointed to the police station. She turned toward the station and froze, as his hearing started to return, even if all he could hear was the blood sloshing in his ears. Asheer turned back to him, horror in her eyes, and he said, “Get everyone up, we are going to help.”
As he helped Sara to her feet, he could not help but wonder if those were going to be his famous last words. Wondering at why he was not being completely incapacitated by the pain in his wing, he shoved the extra thought away, figuring it must be shock. He glanced around as the rest of his harem got up, he said, “LETS GO LADIES! We have to help.”
As they moved toward the station, stiffly at first, but quickly loosening up as bruised muscles were forced to work, they watched the Leather Jackets disappear into the burning building. Wondering what the hell James and his cronies were doing, he shoved the pokédex into the holder on his left shoulder, not remembering that it was still recording. They arrived at the building, and he peeked inside, and gawked at what he saw.
There were barely any bodies anywhere, but there were pieces everywhere, and a single path completely devoid of flames that went toward the stairs in the back. He could hear a child screaming in pain and fear coming from the other side of the room, opposite of the stairs, and said, “Sara, get the kid out of here. Asheer, Helaine, on me, Mayuan, Tiria, try to find those still alive, and get them out of here.”
Sara nodded and dashed off into the burning building, toward the screams, as Mayuan used her Water spell, putting out fires while Tiria, her face completely devoid of blood, began to search for survivors. He was glad that none of them had seen his wing yet; else his harem would not allow him to move deeper after James. He let the two girls go first, and then followed, telling Helaine, “Put out the larger fires, but save your strength for the guys in leather jackets, they are the ones that blew up the station, and we are going after them.”
They moved to the stairs, and Helaine checked them, before slowly moving down, keeping an ear out for company. The basement would be where the jail cells were, he figured, ignoring the pain in his wing from every step he took. They reached the landing at the basement, and they found a trio of badly hurt Officer Jennies, all of them unconscious and badly burned. Which was strange, as the stairs and landing were undamaged from the explosion, but fresh burn marks could be seen on the walls, too randomly placed to be from the explosion, which would have marked all the walls equally. His foot brushed something, and he looked down at the shell casings that were on the ground, and said, “Lets get these women out of here.”
He carefully grabbed one of the pistols on the ground, and Helaine gasped in horror as she finally noticed the bone shards. “Why the hell are you down here, Geno, with you wing shattered like that?”
“Because you need the help. Get the Jennies topside, NOW! Argue with me later after we have saved them. I can’t carry them without moving my wing, and that might make me drop them, so Helaine, you grab two, Asheer, grab the other, and I will follow you up.”
Growling in unhappiness, Helaine did what he asked, but Asheer balked, saying, “You go before me.”
“Don’t be stupid, what if someone comes up behind you while you are lugging her up? Don’t argue with me now! Just do it, I am not going to do anything stupid.”
Asheer growled in anger as Helaine hoisted the two Officer Jennies to he shoulder, and started up the stairs. Asheer grabbed the other, and started up after her, while Geno muttered, “Right, not stupid, just insanely suicidal.”
He stalked off down the only hall that had a light on, and stopped at the corner before carefully peeking around, and coincidentally letting the recording lens on his pokédex view the gather. A Sorceress, a Gun bunny, a GunValkyrie, a KA-D-Bra, a Bombshell, and a woman with a disk port or something similar on her back, made up the pokégirls down the hall, and the two Leather Jackets from the street and James were there as well. Another Leather Jacket stood with the others, and said, “Glad you finally could show. Got my girls?”
The Leather Jacket that wore glasses slugged the new Leather, and snarled, “YOU FUCKING BIMBO BITCH! DO YOU REALIZE THAT IF THEY HAD SCANNED YOU THEY COULD HAVE LEARNED EVERYTHING! THEY ALREADY KNOW TOO MUCH ABOUT US!”
The other unnamed Leather Jacket said, “Enough, Osex, get us out of here…What?”
Geno suddenly realized the psychic pokégirl was looking right at him, as she sent, [We have a visitor and his pokédex is recording everything.]
Geno cursed as he turned and bolted, one of the Leather Jacket’s screaming, “KILL HIM BEFORE HE GETS TOPSIDE!”
James said, “No, I will. Tia, kill him, now.”
“Yes master.”
Suddenly the Sorceress was standing at the staircase landing, and turned back toward the hallway, and said, “Naughty boy, spying on your betters. You must be punished. Lets start with a nice fire, shall we?”
Holding out her hands, she ignite her left hand, then her right hand, before clapping them together, and saying, “One Firaga coming up. Enjoy!”
She spread her hands, and a massive bolt of fie leapt down the hall, aiming to strike the ground immediately in front of him. He threw himself into a nearby room, and screamed in pain as fire lashed his legs, but it did not burn as much as he thought it would. Must be my dragon blood, he thought, as he scrambled forward, and flipped the desk in the room over, and crouched behind it, before checking his borrowed pistol. And discovered to his horror that it was empty.
Looking down at the pistol, he said, “Crap, this is not good. Taken out by a good-looking woman. Guess there are worse ways to go.”
A slightly insane giggle from outside the room, and the Sorceress said, “Thank you for the compliment, and in return, I will kill you quickly. Just move from behind the desk, and this will be much less painful. I promise.”
Geno refrained from snorting his disbelief, and said, “Thank you, but I am staying right here.”
James screamed, “Tia, quit playing around, finish him off, and grab his pokédex. We are leaving, with or without you.”
Tia sighed, and said, “Yes master, right away master.”
In a quieter voice, so that only Geno heard her, though he was sure she did not mean for him too, “Would you like a blowjob after ass fucking me, master? What, you want me to wipe your ass as well, yes, master. Anything you desire, master.”
Grumbling as she began casting Firaga again, when a flamethrower attack hit her from the side, making her scream in pain. James yelled, “Tia, finish now or be left behind!”
Tia whirled but hesitated, torn between defending herself and finishing her master’s command, but when a second flamethrower missed Tia by a narrow margin, it also helped in deciding her. Turning toward her attacker, she released the Firaga, and Geno heard Sara scream in fear, before the sound of something collapsing cut off the scream.
Tia turned and ran for where James had been before. Geno waited a moment, before he heard a peculiar noise of air rushing in to fill in sudden hole. Dashing out, he glanced toward the corner toward the jail cell, and then turned back to the stairs. And cursed at what he saw.
The ceiling had been cement reinforced with wood, and it had collapsed under the force of the Firaga spell, blocking the hallway almost completely. But what he swore at was the clawed hand that extended from the rubble, with a small scar on the back of it, and he recognized the marking it as Sara. The entire pile of rubble was aflame, and he screamed her name, before throwing himself at it, tearing at the rubble, and flinging chunks of it aside in his attempt to reach her. He paused after a moment of digging, and jumped back as something dripped onto the fire, making it hiss and flare, before looking up.
What he saw made him roll his eyes in frustration, before he threw himself back toward freeing Sara. The collapsing ceiling had ripped a pipe in the floor/ceiling, and it dripped a thick, black liquid. A thick, black liquid that was flammable, and was dripping down faster than he could free Sara. He fought to clear the rubble before the flaming liquid could get to her, but he had a strange feeling that he would have had more luck trying to stop the tide. The liquid also put off a thick, black smoke, and soon he was forced back, with a hacking cough as he stumbled backwards, far enough that he could only watch in horror as the liquid finally landed on Sara. The only blessing, Geno thought, was that she is already unconscious, so she will not feel anything. I hope.
Reaching up, he turned off the recording device of the pokédex, and then dropped it to the ground from suddenly numb hands, as he felt tears fall, mourning the loss of his friend because he could not hang back. The smoke was too thick to see anything of Sara now, and he could only wait to be rescued, and hope that the information on the recording was worth Sara’s life.

(January 25th, 296AS, 1520)
Geno looked up as the rubble shifted, and wondered why he felt so… dead. He had left his pokéballs in the poképack at the restaurant, and more than a dozen times he had cursed himself for not bringing them with them. He shook his head, blood loss, shock, mental stress and fatigue; all of them were making him unfocused. The pile had stopped burning about an hour ago, and while he had tried to shift the pile to discover what was… to see if Sara had somehow survived the fire and being crushed under the collapsed ceiling, the pile had just been too hot. Still was, for him, but apparently not for who ever was digging on the other side. He sighed, and grabbed the pokédex, and then shouted, “I don’t suppose I can get something to drink, could I?”
His wing had a tourniquet on it to stop the bleeding, and while it had worked, he was worried about how it would heal. And what had happened to the rest of his harem. And what he was going to tell them about Sara. The digging stopped for a moment, before he heard someone say, “Dear gods, did you just say someone is on the other side?”
Geno yelled, “Yes, my name is Geno Rathin, I am injured and would like to know what happened to the rest of my harem.”
“Geno?”
“Asheer, is that you? Are you alright?”
“We are fine, but what about you and Sara?”
Geno stopped knowing he should say something, but he could not bring himself to say it. Asheer called, “Geno? GENO? Please hurry, he was injured when we entered, badly, he might have…”
A new voice said, powerful but calm, “Ma’am I understand your concern for your tamer, but right now, I have twenty two dead Jennies, twelve more critically injured, and four very badly hurt tamers, two of whom are not likely to live to see morning. And your tamer was on the scene first that I know of. That makes him a suspect. We will get him out, but who is the other one you asked about, this Sara?”
Geno said, “My Charmelons. She is under that rubble you are digging through. The people that attacked all wore leather jackets, and one of them had a Bombshell that was missing an arm. I have everything recorded on my pokédex. I…”
His voice broke, and he had to stop for moment, before he said, “Just hurry up, I am about to pass out over here.”
He sat back down, and waited, as they continued to dig through the collapsed section of ceiling, before eventually Asheer managed to wiggle through the small opening that they created, and threw herself into his arms with a muffled sob. Geno tried to not crack, but his Pyrona sobbing openly in his arms was too much, and he rested his head against hers, his tears coming anew. He cried for a few minutes, before asking, “Did you go back for the poképack at the restaurant?”
Asheer nodded, and said, “Tiria, toss me the poképack please.”
A voice on the other side protested, but Tiria made a few suggestions on what the other person could do, and tossed the poképack through, and said, “Geno, consider yourself in trouble with your harem starting now.”
Muttering on the other side of the pile made Geno wince, which prompted Asheer’s comment, “What is wrong? She is not strong enough to tear anything off that is not important.”
Geno gave her a long look as he pulled out the pokéball that had belonged to Sara, and said, “A wise pokégirl once told me, ‘Never irritate a healer. They know how you are put together, so, consequently, they also know how to take you apart.’ I really don’t want to find out how irritated Tiria needs to be to find out if that saying is true or not.”
Reaching toward the still smoking pile, he stopped and pulled his hand back, and said, “Asheer, would you mind pulling the rubble out? I know it is doubtful Sara is still alive, but, I have to try.”
Asheer nodded, and then began to clear the rubble off of the pile, trying to clear some part of Sara, as Geno stood back, and could only hope. The work did not take long, not after Sara had been stuff under the pile of rubble for more than three hours. Still, every one of the five minutes that it took for Asheer to clear enough rubble to show him Sara’s hand felt like it was taking entirely too long. But when she finally cleared enough so that they could see her hand, the way her shoulders stiffened and then sagged told him everything. But he moved up anyway, needing to see what he could of his official starter. He knelt down, and stared at the clawed hand that extended from the rubble, jet-black from the fire and still smoldering rubble. He reached down, and stroked her hand, marveling at how soft she still was, and whispered, “Sara, I am sorry for not being a better tamer, for not listening.”
He sighed, and looked down at her hand, so lost in his memories that he barely even registered her hand twitching in his own until her claws dug into his palm. He froze, and then stared at her in shock for a moment, before activating the pokéball saying, “Sara return!”
Asheer sighed, and said, “Geno, she is…”
She stopped as the hand vanished as the red beam from the pokéball touched it, and nearly dropped it when Geno pushed it into her hands, saying, “Get her to the pokécenter, she needs to be healed. I am not going anywhere, and this has given me a damn good reason to be a proper tamer, and let you girls lead from now on. You heal easier.”
He gave his Pyrona a weak smile, and watched her climb back to the other side. Wondering what the hell had happened with Sara, and how she was alive after being buried in flaming and then smoldering rubble, he settled back down against the wall, and closed his eyes, intending to just rest them for a minute, suddenly feeling tired beyond belief. He had barely closed his eyes when sleep ambushed him, and dragged him into its deep, black depths, and his last thought was that he was glad that his harem was safe, regardless of what happened to him.
