The Tengal is a strange evolution of the Cameragirl, and many say an extremely useful one. With the addition of superb speed, flight, and decent combat ability, the Tengal is almost perfect as a scout, particularly since she maintains her expertise with and ability to summon cameras. And, with her flight speed as it is, she is often cited as the fastest of all Pokégirls, a fact which many the Skarmoress or Cheetit has attempted to dispute, with varying results. During the war, they acted as scouts for Sukebe's legions and were often viewed as portends of doom, as seeing them often meant an attack would follow. This, in combination with their later use, when tamed, by war correspondents and other newspaper reporters, who were not viewed in a particularly positive light due to all the grave news, earned them the derogatory nickname "Murkunt" in many western regions, whilst 'Tengal' remained more popular in the east, where tengu had already been seen as harbingers of war. In the modern day, they're most often used as scouts by tamers or employed by newspapers as expert photographers.
Physically, the change from Cameragirl to Tengal is certainly noticeable; her hands lose the mechanical look from before, and large, dark crow's wings grow from her back ranging from brown to raven's wing black, at least as wide as she is tall, though in most cases they're the extent of her animalistic attributes. Also, the bodies of Tengals tend to become sleeker when evolving, although it's not generally to a huge degree unless they were noticeably large in build prior to evolution. Breasts tend to be a mid C or smaller, however. In some cases, there is a lengthening of the nose as well, though very rarely to a hugely noticeable extent, and although many tend to prefer oriental attire, it's not anywhere near strong enough that they will not simply wear what their tamers wish, although it is very rare to see one about without a notebook or camera, usually both.
Mentally, there're some fairly strong changes as well, though not enough to completely change the existent personality by any means. The primary aspect of this is a strong sense of curiosity, although there is a considerable amount of pride introduced in most cases. The curiosity aspect leads them to be fairly prone to gossiping, as one would imagine from their title, although it can be channeled more productively into scouting duties, and with a notebook and camera on hand, Tengals are very good at investigation, and most will endeavor to discover every secret of her tamer and harem sisters. This has led to some newspapers actually letting them write the articles in more liberal leagues, though it's suspected that most of these credit the writing to humans as allowing Pokégirls, especially ones known to be gossips, write articles tends to negatively affect the papers' reputations. This does conflict with the Tengals' pride, but most can be placated by praise and credit for their skilled and often breathtaking photography.
Aside from this, though, the pride of the breed is in regards to their speed; it's rare to meet a Tengal who doesn't think, even if only lightly, that she's the fastest, and this makes them usually hesitant to use teleport, though a way around this is to let them fly to the desired spot themselves and setup a spot to teleport to, which allows ease of transport, safer teleporting, and the Tengal a chance to show off her speed. And, of course, unless expressly forbidden to by their tamers, Tengals will accept almost any challenge to a race.
Combat-wise, however, they aren't particularly strong. As one would expect from scouts and their set of enhancements, Tengals are focused on speed, not power, although they can still do a decent amount of damage with their speed-based and aerokinetic abilities. That aerokinesis generally allows for both more speed in the air and great maneuverability, despite the lack of enhanced agility, as well as unconsciously creating a buffer to protect their bodies from the friction of moving at the speeds they do. However, when they must fight, it can also be used to send bursts of wind at high speeds or even create tornadoes, and they are very well equipped to use Mach Breaker, all of this whilst circling and avoiding any hits with their great speed. Needless to say, the best way to beat one is to get her into an enclosed space, especially since pride often prevents attempts to teleport out. Once they're hit, though, Tengals fall very easily, with no more durability or strength than a normal human.
Sexually, pride tends to weaken the voyeuristic tendencies of the Cameragirl, although erotic photography, both of herself and her tamer or harem sisters, is still quite a turn-on. Speed does take some of a role as well, as they're more prone to fast taming sessions than many, but it hardly precludes slower, more romantic ones, and they will perhaps have a tendency to tease using the secrets they've gleaned, though in turn, teasing them can be very effective due to their pride. Like many flying-types, a lot of Tengals find the idea of aerial taming very appealing, but it rarely becomes a reality for them due to their lack of enhanced strength.
Feral Tengals generally let their curiosity and pride take over, meaning they will tend to race around wherever they live, spying on the inhabitants and learning everything there is to know about them. However, despite their speed, they're easily lured in by a novelty and trapped, since they will never teleport when fully feral, preferring to be caught than cheat that way. Catching a Tengal around ones hometown is not recommended, though, as learning all that she knows will often make you quite a few enemies. Thresholding is possible, but exceedingly rare.
