No one is quite sure what to make of the Tick-Tock.
Mysterious Pokégirls that first appeared during the latter part of the Revenge War, they showed up to aid the last few units under Sukebe’s control, using their abilities to manipulate time to the advantage of the forces they aided. Such tactics included rewinding bullets and plasma blasts back along their paths, driving soldiers to madness by altering their perception of time. After the Revenge War ended, they vanished completely, not appearing again for over one hundred years, shortly after the first Widow attack. Since then they have been sighted in various places around the world, although so far the only reliable way to catch one has been to evolve them from a Witch.
Tick-Tocks are an interesting breed. Their appearance runs the gamut of human standards (with the exception of their hair, which is usually an unusual color), as do their personality types.  One thing that all have in common is a constant slight depression, one that is tempered by a love of comedy and jokes. Many have been known to enjoy pre-Sukebe slapstick comedy, such as that of the Three Stooges, although this is generally seen only in younger Tick-Tocks. This depression is believed to be caused by the fact that they can see into the future. This ability is very limited, however, visions coming to them in vague moments, sometimes showing multiple paths. While limited in effectiveness and not totally reliable, many skilled Tamers have been able to use these visions to help them get past certain obstacles.  It’s been noted that a Tick-Tock’s visions are more accurate if they focus them on small things, such as the possible result of traversing through an area. It’s believed that stronger Tick-Tocks can see further into the future, which has led many members of the breed to develop a tendency to be more frustratingly cryptic than Megamis at times.
In terms of combat, Tick-Tocks tend to be tricky fighters, using their time manipulation abilities to help them avoid attacks, using magic spells for direct attacks when possible. They tend to favor teleporting around the field (usually with some thematic effect, such as vanishing into a doorway in midair), reappearing elsewhere to fire off a magical burst or one of their time energy attacks. Their overall combat strength is less than most magical Pokégirls, but that isn’t to say that they don’t have the potential to be extraordinarily powerful.
Higher level Tick-Tocks have several dangerous abilities.  Two of the most notable is their Future Sight ability. By locking on to an opponent’s aura, they can ‘learn’ certain attacks the Pokégirl knows, and the instance they even begin to use them, counteract them with a massive blast of energy. But the most infamous ability of Tick-Tocks is their ability to stop time for brief periods of time. It can only be done by more experienced Tick-Tocks, and can only be done for a few seconds by their perception, but as the Tick-Tock grows stronger, their ability to stop time grows stronger as well, allowing for longer stops. This is frightening, although a discovery by noted Pokégirl Researcher Joseph Joestar has tempered the fear of this ability.  As it turns out, there must be a brief ‘cooldown’ period between time stops, allowing the Tick-Tock to recover stamina lost from using this ability. This ‘cooldown’ period matches the amount of time used to freeze time. A further discovery shows that stopping time puts stress on the Pokégirl’s heart, which further limits the amount of time they can keep time frozen.
There’s a strong rumor going around that when a Tick-Tock’s abilities are maxed out, they will be able to travel through time itself. This rumor has mainly perpetuated because of historical records suggesting a strong connection to Sexebi (some even suggesting that they worked for her or even were CREATED by her), who DOES have the ability to travel through time at will. So far there is no real confirmation of Tick-Tocks being able to time travel, and several Tick-Tocks have been worked to death because of ambitious tamers wanting this ability.
[CLASSIFIED] There may be at least one Tick-Tock that’s capable of travelling through time. Reports persist of a Tick-Tock in a silver suit wielding an unusual, clock-themed sword on a chain, the sword having a working clock in it. This Tick-Tock supposedly identifies herself as ‘Aeon, daughter of St. Germain,’ and has supposedly been sighted for decades, never growing older, around the former Transylvania region of the world. Little is known about her except that she has the same sadly playful demeanor most Tick-Tocks are known to have. Investigations into Aeon’s existence are ongoing. Until further notice, however, the official story is that she doesn’t exist. We don’t want to encourage Tamers to work any more Pokégirls to death, or even worse, to start messing with history should they get their Tick-Tocks to actually travel through time. [CLASSIFIED]
There are a few reports of Thresholds resulting in Tick-Tocks, although they only seem to occur in families with heavy magic-type ancestry. The change is relatively painless, although the ‘girl may suffer from dementia during the process of Threshold as her perception of time and how it works expands alters.
Ferality amongst Tick-Tocks is generally unpleasant, despite the fact that their Feral state’s psyche is about the same as any human-type. The dangerous part is that they lose control over their abilities and may accidentally alter people’s perceptions of time or how time flows around an individual without even realizing it. Tamers that allow their Tick-Tocks to go feral are heavily fined.
