In all known attempts to kill a Widow, there are almost no survivors once struck by the deadly Hyper Venom that makes that pokegirl most feared. Human and pokegirl alike, despite any sort of affinity or elemental advantage one might think existed to try and resist Hyper Venom (which the name itself suggests a poison) all are for naught- eventually, unless the infected area is amputated, the person or pokegirl struck will die. Struck in the torso or anywhere other than a limb, a pokegirl or human will die from Hyper Venom. It has been an undeniable fact of life, ever since Widows were discovered. So, the question is this: How does this particular breed manage to do what was once seemingly impossible? There does not seem to be any logical method to the abilities of the breed, which has resulted in researchers collectively agreeing that it must be a result of magic. In particular, a magic-type pokegirl. Tamers and Breeders alike seem to agree: as if like magic, the Venom Mistress does the impossible. It is unknown what exactly their role was during the Revenge War, but it is highly likely that this breed was actually created to be the healers of the pokegirl armies, along with several other pokegirl breeds. However, according to records discovered after the Revenge War, the Venom Mistress were a late addition to their armies and few were created before the humans won the war.

The Venom Mistress' skills are impressive. Simply by touching a liquid, they can within minutes identify it. If she touches blood, the Venom Mistress can determine any illnesses and even the general health of the person, pokegirl, or animal that had lost the blood, though the results of this type of analysis are more accurate if the blood is fresh. It is in this manner that the Venom Mistress can actually cleanse blood of what infects it, by generating an anti-venom or antidote to any known poison short of Hyper Venom. For the Hyper Venom, however, the Venom Mistress has what has been called Infinity Antidote. Originally designed, it seems, to be a wide-spread antibiotic, anaesthetic, and anti-venom all in one technique, it has been observed that the pokegirl can actually purge a human or pokegirl's body of the Hyper Venom cells with the technique. However, the technique requires the blood to go somewhere, and as even exposure to Hyper Venom itself is deadly, the only real target to use is the infected person's limb, either an arm or leg (or more than one, depending on how bad the infection is) and then to amputate that limb before regenerating a new one from the victim's body. The pokegirl can only use Infinity Antidote a handful of times before becoming exhausted.

It was once said that the first Venom Mistress was evolved from a Dominatrix as a result of a pact between her and a particular legendary pokegirl. However, such an instance has never been recorded and is merely a legend or myth at best as of current day. These days, it is widely recognized that the Venom Mistress is not evolved into- the breed has no evolutions, nor pre-evolutionary phases. Appearance-wise, however, may be where the pokegirl got that evolutionary myth. They are very similar to the Dominatrix, even down to the leather that that breed prefers to wear. The Venom Mistress is a haughty breed as well, with a forceful and dominating personality- another reason as to why the breed is still found in only few numbers even today, despite their usefulness as healers. When combined with Nurse Joys or Atemi breeds, the three breeds are extraordinarily effective at healing just about any physical ailment or injury. Unlike the Nurse Joy, however, they are not above what they call 'pranking' others: giving someone a cold or a minor case of the flu is something that the breed finds hilarious. For the few tamers who have a Venom Mistress, they quickly learn not to piss her off unless they know they can get away with it.

As a result of the breed's capabilities with poison, few pokegirls will willingly battle one unless there are no other options. Just having a Venom Mistress can make a tamer forfeit because his or her pokegirl refuses to battle her, which is quite a psychological advantage. Human tamers should be warned that the Venom Mistress can, and have been known to, create new diseases and poisons as often as they wish. It typically takes another Venom Mistress to be able to counter such things, however, before the newly created disease or poison becomes fatal to the one inflicted. Something else that tamers should be aware of is the fact that when the breed sweats, they actually secrete a small amount of a liquid form of Buttsprout, Bloom, or Exhausting Venom (these seem to differ per each individual). As a result, Venom Mistress tend to administer an antidote to their tamer or partner before a taming is begun. Venom Mistress' cannot actually create airborne illnesses, which is perhaps the one thing regarding poisons that they cannot create. Most pokegirls other than fellow poison-types tend to stay away from her, including those of the Domina-breed: which further decreases the validity of the aforementioned myth.

There have been very few known instances of feral Venom Mistress', but they have been found. They seem to gravitate towards heavily polluted areas and trap prey there while cultivating poisonous plants. Often, they control other pokegirls in the area that thrive in such locations. They are not very territorial save for their den, which they will defend with their lives from any intruders. There have been no threshold cases recorded, but this does not mean it is impossible.
