Like many pokegirls, the Jiniri were based off of mythology and Pre-Sukebe pop-culture. Specifically, Jiniri are based on the popular interpretation of genies, spirits who granted the wishes of the person who discovered their lamp. Jiniri were designed to infiltrate human strongholds and treat the occupants inside to their wildest (and often most perverted) desires. Only a few lucky survivors would live long enough to see their dreams crumble around them once Sukebe’s forces had successfully infiltrated. Most victims of the Jiniri would die in their fantasies, killed by the invading pokegirls or poisoned by the Jiniri that had offered them so much pleasure.

Jiniri are metamorphic pokegirls, constantly in a state of shifting to some degree. They can take human forms of various shapes, colors, and sizes, usually picking a standard based on their own, or their tamers, preferences. They can even create their own clothes, most leaning towards the harem girl style like the Enchantress breed. But even in their human forms the thin wisp of smoke that emanate from their body reveal their true nature as beings of gas. Jiniri take the form of livings clouds of gas, whose makeup they may change at will. Most Jiniri rest in a state that is half human and half gaseous, forming a human upper body while turning into gas below the waist.

Returning to a tamable human form is a rather daunting task for a Jiniri who has become completely gaseous. Exposed to the wind, it’s often difficult to coalesce their bodies while being manipulated by every air current around them. To aid them in doing so, most Jiniri will find some kind of vessel that they can stay connected to, usually some form of container with a single opening that protects them from most winds and provides a focal point to form their body on. Jiniri have used jars, chest, broken pokeballs, or more stereotypically, lamps. A Jiniri’s “lamp” is a very precious item to them and there are few wrongs one can do to a Jiniri that can’t be fixed by buying them a truly beautiful lamp to live in. Many Jiniri will also seek out a powerful magic type who can enchant their lamp, making it harder to destroy.

Jiniri are odd opponents to face in battle. Their gaseous bodies are nearly impossible to harm with physical attacks. At best, a strong physical attack may disperse the Jiniri’s form, forcing her to waste energy rebuilding herself. Flying attacks are extremely efficient at doing so and without a lamp a strong enough flying type attack could actually kill a Jiniri, scattering her essence to the wind. Magic and fire attacks are effective and electric attacks often force Jiniri into their more human forms. There are also the obvious weaknesses that come with being a psychic like dark and ghost attacks.

When fighting Jiniri rarely seek to do physical damage. Their usual strategy is to weaken their opponents concentration with some type of status ailment caused by their poisons. From there, The Jiniri will seek to manipulate their opponents mind, either breaking their will through mental domination, or seducing them with sexual techniques. For the most part, a Jiniri’s psychic ability is purely telepathic in nature. With enough training they can learn some basic telekinetic abilities, but they’ll never be a true powerhouse.

For a pokegirls whose main purpose is to drug and dominate her enemies the majority of Jiniri are surprisingly subservient to anyone they view as their master or superior. It is thought that this was a conscious decision on Sukebe’s part to stop them from causing problems amongst his ranks. Despite their submissive nature most Jiniri don’t find quite as much joy in being bossed around as a Damsel might. As such, letting a Jiniri make some decisions for herself will almost always improve her mood and ensure her loyalty.

Jiniri found many different positions available to them after the revenge war. Many continued their old work under human command, infiltrating criminal hideouts and disabling those inside for the police. Others would act as interrogators, prying secrets from the minds of others through the use of their poisons and mental power. Many cities keep Jiniri on hand for their ability to feed on airborne pollution. Jiniri take in the smog and chemicals created by machines and factories and use it to create their own gases. They can also emulate any gases or particles that they have absorbed, including the various powders, mist, and smokes created by other poison types.

As far as taming goes almost anything goes with a Jiniri, or at least their tamers would think. Many Jiniri have admitted to creating illusions of their tamer’s more perverse fantasies rather than actually going along with them. Still, the illusions are realistic enough that few tamers care about the deception. As stated before a Jiniri does like to make some decisions for herself, especially in the bedroom. So a tamer that is occasionally willing to indulge in the fantasies and fetishes of their Jiniri will usually get the real thing when they ask her to indulge in their own. Jiniri fair very well in sex battles, using lust dust along with their illusionary abilities to make their opponent cum willingly. Most leagues require that a Jiniri actually form her sex if she is going to compete in one, her completely gaseous form being seen as an unfair advantage.

Feral Jiniri are completely peaceful pokegirls, usually found floating around large cities, occasionally initiating tamings with the inhabitants. Without human pollution they have a rougher time staying fed, but some ferals manage to survive off natural gases or by teaming up with another poison type. The best way to catch a Jiniri is to used lust dust because, while they are immune to it‘s effects, most feral Jiniri do understand it’s use and realize that the person is trying to start a taming session.

Thresholding into a Jiniri is a painless process, though one that can be dangerous. It generally starts with thin wisp of smoke coming from the soon to be pokegirls, occasionally leading people to believe that the girl is becoming the much more common Smokey. It’s not until actual body parts turn into gas that most people realize what is happening. To keep the thresholding Jiniri safe, it is best to keep her indoors until the process is finished, and to supply some kind of lamp she can rebuild herself in once her body has completed it’s metamorphosis into gas, otherwise the Jiniri will be in danger of dissipating.
