One of the most feared sights during any stage of the Revenge War was a breed that brought fears of mythological beings brought back to life. Though few in number at the beginning of the war, and as such were commonly seen in command of a troop of pokegirls, the Whorizard was among the first commanders of the pokegirl armies, though as the war went on they were more often relegated to forward command centers or even outright assault elements. After the war ended, the Whorizard was one of the breeds hunted down with great prejudice, their abilities to fly and attack at long ranges making them widely feared by many surviving groups to the point that bounties were often offered for the confirmed capture or death of one. Few were captured due to the difficulty in even attempting the feat, and so most were outright slain instead. Despite the attacks on this particular breed after the war, the breed merely continued to grow in number as converted Charmela were evolved into Whorizards.

Upon evolution, a Whorizard reaches somewhere between 1.7-2.3m in height, on average, and the length of their tail usually matches that number as well. Their main difference other than an increase in height is the growth of a pair of large leathery wings from her shoulder blades. Each wing is roughly 25% larger than the pokegirl is tall, for an average total wingspan that is between 5.1-6.9m. Otherwise, very little about the pokegirl's appearance differs from when she was a Charmela. It should be noted that, on average, a Whorizard's body temperature is somewhere around 40 degrees celsius, and can become cold quite a bit easier than a Charmela does. As a result, the breed is actually far more rare than one might otherwise suspect, in colder regions of the world. In fact, there are even myths in various leagues known for their cold (such as Scarlet, Ruby, and Opal) that Charmela do not evolve into Whorizards in areas where temperatures lower than 14 degrees celsius, on average, year-round.

Battles are where the Whorizard excel... at long ranges. Though they do not have the overall capabilities of their previous form, the Whorizard instead specialize in aerial bombardments from a distance. Utilizing a number of ranged techniques, coupled with her agility, flying speed, and excellent eyesight, the Whorizard lays waste to anyone and anything from afar with devastating accuracy. In-close, however, the breed is less capable. Their overall size makes it difficult for them to maneuver quickly, and on the ground they are roughly as quick as any other typical pokegirl. In fact, short range is about the only time when their poison techniques (what few remain from evolving) are of much use. However, even the Whorizard can be devastating in close combat when using their Rage technique after a Roar III, which is a standard defensive tactic for the breed. The ferocity of a rampaging Whorizard during the war even gave rise to the phrase 'Like a Raging Whorizard,' which is used even today, roughly 300 years later. Outside of normal battling, however, the Whorizard is about as effective as most other pokegirls.

This pokegirl's ability to fly enables her to be utilized as a scout for a tamer, and their intelligence and demeanor outside of using the Rage technique makes the Whorizard a common Alpha for many intermediate level Tamer harems. Their size, however, is a major factor for concern, as they typically require twice the daily nourishment as any average pokegirl breed of human-like sizes. This can make it difficult for tamers to keep them well-fed at times, so usually they are found more within league tamer harems than those of a traveling tamer's harem. This does lead to a rivalry between the Whorizard and other big-eater pokegirl breeds, such as the Snorlass and Grizzlar, though the latter breeds typically eat far more than the average Whorizard can. Taming a Whorizard can potentially be dangerous, due to their claws, body heat, and access to their Ignite technique, though there have never been any known accidental uses of the technique during taming sessions. Though restraints are often recommended for at least the pokegirl's tail to keep it from thrashing about and pounding her tamer, it is not necessary. A Whorizard's body temperature is the main cause for concern, but like the Charmela, they are merely a bit hotter than humans, not to the point of needing to take precautions to prevent burns, whether from friction or otherwise.

Feral Whorizard are difficult to find, due in part to the fact that they typically reside in difficult to reach areas, such as tall ruins or a desert. Unlike some breeds, they form only small units of up to a handful of individuals, though they rarely get along well save for during winter. Whorizard are susceptible to the cold, despite their ability to produce a heat aura, and so in winter will gather in large numbers to wait out the winter as best they can. Ferals are lethargic in winter, making this the best time to attempt to capture one, as it is unlikely that even if another of their unit sees it happening that she will attempt to assist her fellow. Threshold cases are practically unknown, but two or three per year do occur. The transition is painful and quick- so quick, in fact, that at one point over 66% of all threshold cases were documented as lethal to the changing girl. Though that fatality rate has gone down with the increased care available from pokecenters and constant assistance provided by pokegirls with healing techniques, it is still a very dangerous and lethal process. Families with Whorizards known to be in the thresholding girl's ancestry are encouraged to bring the girl to the nearest pokecenter ASAP, if they wish to give pokegirl-to-be a decent chance at survival.
