Disrupting ground travel, burrowing into bunkers, under fortifications, and generally used for ground work, the Loamani wasn't as frequently sited as their handiwork during the War of Revenge. Most often, these ground types worked with other breeds of similar types to devastating effect. In modern times, this pangolin breed is used just as often in construction as demolition.

Based on the Pangolin, this ground breed commonly stands between 4ft 11in (1.5 meters) and 5ft 8in (1.73 meters) with a variety of builds. Claws, a tail, and scales on the dorsal plane of the body are common amongst all Loamani, though the amount of scaling varies. These scales are smooth and extremely tough, the keratin skin coverings are located on the head, back, and tail at the very least. The scaling that covers the head typically does so beginning at the brow ridge centered on the nose in a large V, with full scaling beginning where a human's hairline would begin. On the back, the scales begin just past where the arms would hang at rest, covering the back entirely. Tails are typically wide and flat, covered with scales dorsally, with a thin coat of fur ventrally. Ear openings are located the same as a human, though the outer structure of the ear may be absent or altered slightly. Anthromorphic members of the breed typically have longer, more prominent claws, more scaling, and muzzles.

Areas not covered by this scaling typically have skin colors ranging heavily in lighter earth tones such as sand-yellow or clay-orange, though human tones have been noted just as frequently. One interesting feature of the breed is the ability to easily tell pokegirls apart from pokewomen due to the scales. Scales of pokegirl Loamanis are smooth and rounded, usually of the same tone as the breed's skin. Once the transition to a pokewoman begins, these scales are shed slowly, and large spiked scales regrow in their place. These spikes are somewhat conical, ranging in length from 3 inches (7.5cm) to 8 inches (22.8cm). Whatever the age, scales are occasionally shed and regrown, and the scales of pokegirl members of the breed are sometimes made into armor, while pokewoman scales can be made into tools or other sundries. Due to this scale difference, many 'spiking' individuals are traded or sold by those who do not wish to bother with the hazards of pregnancy. Usually, common names also differentiate the breed by age, pokegirls being called Sexshrews while pokewomen are called either Randysnatch or Sexslash depending on the area.

Researchers have mapped out several personality tests on this pangolin breed, with the end result showing that the breed has a double bell curve in regards to introversion-extroversion, with slight overlap between the two. In short, there most members of the breed are textbook introverts or extroverts, with few being balanced between, and some being extremes. A commonality between the personalities of individuals is a strong loyalty, usually attributed to the canine breeds, which typically makes transitions from salvage battles difficult.

Loamani are built for battle like a majority of pokegirls, and their instincts make them adept at fighting. Most individuals fight defensively, using the ground itself as cover by digging underneath their opponents. Their tremor sense allows them to locate ground-based opponents with ease, in which case most usually follow up with a Fissure. Pokewomen can be taught a ground-based version of buzzsaw due to their spikes, and with the breed's average tongue length at around 18 inches (45cm), Long Tongue is a danger to any opponent who gets close to these pugnacious pangolin's heads. Like many average ground types, however, Flying, Ice, Plant, and Water techniques give any opponent a distinct advantage. Ability for sexual battles depends on the individual, as some are more adventurous in regards to taming than others. Most will make the effort if their tamer so desires, however.

Unlike the breed's animal base, Loamani are herbivorous, feeding on legumes, tubers, and occasionally fruits. Because of their digging ability, many farmers find the breed a difficult to stop crop pest, especially with crops of tubers like potatoes. Luckily the breed is solitary safe for mother-kit groups. Feral pokegirls are skittish, often retreating by digging deeper and away from the source of any pursuit. Pokewomen ferals, however, are highly territorial and tend to harass other pokegirls (and human women) away from their territories. Pokewomen ferals pose a threat to human males, as the breed tends to try entrap and tame those they come across. Due to the breed's sharp claws, gouges, scratches, and disembowelment have occurred from feral pokewoman Loamani.

Threshold girls usually have a rough time when becoming a Sexshrew. Symptoms include severe dermatitis where the scales begin to grow, back aches, hair loss on the head, and a heavy craving for legumes. Threshold lasts an average of 9 days, with longer times for those becoming anthromorphic. Thresholders are usually sold into construction or placed into the ranch system.
